It s an easy, stress free way to be in the Word daily, growing and hearing from God. If you are interested please contact Michael at the church office, sign up at the Welcome Center or on line. Page 6 The one thing that will change everything This past month the Worship Ministry held their own retreat at Camp Illiana for some team building, relaxation and renewal.

It was a great weekend with worship and teaching led by a group of folks from Maryland Community Church in Terre Haute.

Sometimes the work of the church can seem just like what it sounds like: work.

6 Page 6 The one thing that will change everything This past month the Worship Ministry held their own retreat at Camp Illiana for some team building, relaxation and renewal. First of all, we would all like to thank you, our church family, for making it possible for us to take time away and be fed spiritually and re-energized for ministry. It was a great weekend with worship and teaching led by a group of folks from Maryland Community Church in Terre Haute. The weekend brought about group bonding, affirmations from God about His love for us and insightful teaching that we want to share with you! Sometimes the work of the church can seem just like what it sounds like: work. Through what we learned and were reminded of at our retreat we have found that many seem to be missing the one thing that will change the landscape of our church family. It s not about programs, all church events or special dinners. It s not about doing something for the sake of doing something. It s about spending time in one place, doing one thing that will make the biggest difference in our church. It s all about spending time at the feet of Jesus. Spending time with Jesus is the single most important thing that we can do as a church, but it has to be about more than the Sunday morning time frame. Jesus wants personal time with us as well and we need to slow down and give Him the attention He deserves. Our ministry team was introduced to the concept of Life Journaling over our weekend together and we want to share our experience with our church family. So many have benefitted from spending time in the Word daily and Life Journaling is a tool that will help keep you focused, studying and growing in your relationship with God. On Sunday evening, May 18 th at 5:30pm in the Family Life Center we want to invite you to come and learn about Life Journaling and begin this journey with us of drawing closer to God through daily study of His Word. There is no charge for this class, there is no commitment if you feel that it s not for you, there is nothing that you stand to lose by giving us a bit of your time to share with you how this has impacted our ministry. We will walk you through the process of Life Journaling, share with you our experiences since we began and tell you the story of a church that has exploded in spiritual growth and numerical growth as a direct result of this process.
