1 TENTATIVE SCHEDULE FOR ORDINATION SYMPOSIUM WOMENS Title and Purpose The tentativee title for the symposiumm is: Women s Ordination: History, Issues and Implications The purpose of the symposium is to share, as far as possible, the Biblical foundation for male servant- leadership ( headship ) in both the home and the church, and the reasons from both Scripture and the Spirit of Prophecy as to why women should not be ordainedd either to the gospel ministry or to the office of local church elder. The symposium will also highlight the value and roles of women in ministry and outline ways in which men and women can work together, within appropriate Biblical roles, to execute the spiritual and evangelistic mission of the great Advent movement. Presentations The symposium will consist of twelve plenary sessions, three panel discussions and a concluding two- hour town hall meeting on Saturday evening. The panel discussions will not take questions from the audience but the town hall session will take both oral andd written questions. Hopefully all weekend speakers who are present will be on stage to answer questions and discuss the issues. For the plenary sessionss each presenter will have 57 minutes. We need you to speak for the full 57 minutes because we plan to broadcast the presentations onn television. There willl be a fifteen-minute break between sessions. The speakers must plan their presentations wisely no fluff, no fillers and be nice, precisee and concise! The panel discussions will last the same amount of time as the plenary sessions and all presenters will be invited to be members of the panels. The presenters should remember that the purpose of this symposium is not to reach academia but rather to inform the common person in the pew in a simple and understandable way what the issues are. Hopefully those who watch the presentations will, in turn, speak up in their churches, conferences, and unions. We have done our technical studies at TOSC and now it is time to go onto the battlefield where the rubber hits the road. Remember: The best defense is a good offense. Secrets Unsealed will professionally tape all presentations and panel discussions for future television broadcast and the entiree series will be streamed live. The presentations and panel discussions will be immediately posted on YouTube for a world audience. Viewers who wish to have copies of the presentationss will be able to acquire them from Secrets Unsealed for a discounted price. Presenters will receive complimentary DVD S of the entire symposium. All meetings except for Sabbath morning will be held at the Secrets Unsealed studios at 5949 E. 2 Expenses Secrets Unsealed cover the following expenses: 1. Airfare (if your airfare is less than $ 600 you can purchase your own ticket and we will reimburse you. If your ticket is more than $ 600 please contact Stephen Bohr Jr. at (559) before your purchase it) 2. Per Diem: $ 41 per day including travel days 3. Lodging: Secrets Unsealed will provide lodging at a Hampton Inn near our headquarters. If you are willing to stay at someone s home to save Secrets Unsealed the expense, please let us know. 4. Meals: A good breakfast is provided at the Hampton Inn. Secrets Unsealed will provide a noon meal at our headquarters on Thursday and Friday and at the church on Sabbath. a.
