I AM!-March 12 Power over Death-March 19 What is Real Love?-March 26 Interfaith Chapel meets Mondays at 1:00pm Bible Study is the 2nd and 4th Thursdays each month at 10:30am. Page 3 Mass is once a month, usually the 2nd Friday at 11:15am (check monthly calendar) Rosary takes place every other Monday at 6:00pm and during Lent and Advent season Rosary meets every Monday at 6:00pm. (See monthly calendar for dates) Other Chaplaincy Services Hospital & Rehab Visits One-on-One Visits Prayer Walks Grief Support Catholic Communion meets Thursdays at 1:00pm (3 times a month). If you need to speak with Chaplain Sherree Lane, she can be reached at: , extension #23 Routine Activities Grocery Runs Grocery runs take place every Wednesday morning. The runs are alternated between Cub and Rainbow. Cub: March 14, 28 Rainbow: March 7, 21 Bag It Enjoy a bag lunch every Sunday at 5:30pm in the Community Room. Medical Appointments Van rides to medical/dental appointments within a 7 mile radius are the first four Mondays of the month and the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. (Unless a scheduled day falls on a holiday.) Medical runs are: Monday, March 5 Thursday, March 8 Monday, March 12 Monday, March 19 Thursday, March 22 Monday, March 26 Please make your appointments between 9:00am-1:00pm. All appointments must be made and written in the Sign Up Book by 12:00pm, two business days ahead of time. Thank you. Exercise Meet Mondays at 10:00am, Tuesdays at 10:00am and Fridays at 9:45am in the Community Room. Schwan s This traveling food service visits Cloverleaf Courts every other Wednesday. 4 Interested Residents Page 5 There are occasions when Cloverleaf Courts will get people from the community who drop in unannounced for a tour of our facility. Many times we have no vacant apartments to show and will call residents and ask to show their apartments with minimal notice. We have compiled a list of residents that are willing to show their apartments in these situations and with little notice time. If you are willing to show your apartment please contact the office so we can add you to the list. Thank you in advance for helping us with our tours. Weather Watch I just got off the phone with a friend living in northern Minnesota near the Canadian border. He said that since early this morning the snow is nearly waist high and is still falling. The temperature is dropping and is at about 15 degrees and the north wind is increasing to near gale force. His wife had done nothing but look through the kitchen window and just stare. He says that if it gets much worse, he may have to let her in.

The Robber A hooded robber burst into a Minnesota bank and forced the tellers to load a sack full of cash. On his way out the door, a brave Minnesota customer grabbed the hood and pulled it off, revealing the robbers face. The robber shot the customer without a moments hesitation. He then looked around the band and noticed one of the tellers looking straight at him. The robber instantly shot him also. Everyone in the bank, by now very scared, looked intently down at the floor in silence. The robber yelled, Well, did anyone else see my face? There are a few moments of utter silence in which everyone was plainly to afraid to speak. Then, one old Norwegian named Ole tentatively raised his hand and said, My wife got a pretty good look at you.

7 Minestrone Soup Page 8 Ingredients: 3 tablespoons olive oil 1 leek, sliced 2 carrots, chopped 1 zucchini, thinly sliced 4 ounces green beans, cut into 1 inch pieces 2 stalks celery, thinly sliced 1 ½ quarts vegetable stock 1 pound chopped tomatoes 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme 1 (15 ounce) can cannellini beans, with liquid ¼ cup elbow macaroni Salt and ground black pepper to taste Directions: 1. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan, over medium heat. Add leek, carrots, zucchini, green beans and celery. Cover, and reduce heat to low. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally. 2. Stir in the stock, tomatoes and thyme. Bring to a boil, then replace the lid, and reduce heat to low; simmer gently for 30 minutes. 3. Stir in the cannellini beans with liquid and pasta. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes, or until pasta is al dente. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

I forget where I am, and where I m going, said another. I guess that s the price we pay for getting old, winced an old man as he slowly shook his head. The others nodded in agreement. Well, count your Blessings, said a woman cheerfully. Thank God we can all still drive.
