A speaker may only speak on one of the following topics: a) Salat is the key to Paradise. b) Physical benefits of Salat. c) Importance of Salat-ul-Wusta (the middle prayer)? d) Incidents for the acceptance of prayers e) Establishing Salat in the Western World. 2. A speech delivered from outside the syllabus will NOT be marked. 3. The speaker will have a total of 5 minutes to deliver his speech. 4. Extra marks will be rewarded for delivering the speech from memory. 5. Judges reserve the right to stop a participant at any point. 6. 14 1. A team of up to 3 Khuddam from each region can take part in the competition; at least one will deliver the presentation, while the other members can control the presentation. The whole region can help the team to prepare the presentation. 2. The Presentation has to be delivered on one of the following topics: i) Salat; the source of healing and motivation ii) Relationship between Salat and Financial Sacrifice iii) Benefits of Salat for mind and body 3. The presentation has to be delivered in English. 4. The duration of each presentation will be 7 minutes. The first bell will be rung after five minutes and after the second bell the presenter would have to leave the rostrum. 5. The allocation of the marks will be as follows: i) 10 marks for the Style of delivery ii) 10 marks for Content & subject matter iii) 5 marks for Pronunciation iv) 15 marks for Visual Presentation 6. The presentation can contain pictures & videos as well. 7. During the competition no one, other than the presenter, will be allowed to talk.

It shall have the reward it earns, and it shall get the punishment it incurs. Our Lord, do not punish us, if we forget or fall into error; and our Lord, lay not on us a responsibility as Thou didst lay upon those before us. Our Lord, burden us not with what we have not the strength to bear; and efface our sins, and grant us forgiveness and have mercy on us; Thou art our Master; so help us Thou against the disbelieving people.

So write us down among those who bear witness.

36 ت ]90:3[ اےامہرےر ص ب! مہاسرپاامینےلآےئوج توےنا اترااورمہےنروسلاریپویا سپںیمہ)قحا( وگایہدےنیواولںںیمھکلدے ر ب ن ا اغ ف ر ل ن ا ذ ن وب ن ا و إ س ر اف ن ا ف أ م ر ن ا و ث ب ت أ ق د ام ن ا و ان ص ر ن ا ع ل ال ق و م ال ك اف ر ين Our Lord, forgive us our errors and our excesses in our conduct, and make firm our steps and help us against the disbelieving people. ]9023:[ رک اے امہرے ر ص ب! امہرے انگہ شخب دے اور اےنپ اعمہلم ںیم امہری زایدیت یھب اور امہرے دقومں وک ابثت شخب اور ںیمہ اکرف وقم ےک الخف رصنت اطع ر ب ن اف اغ ف ر ل ن ا ذ ن وب ن او ك ف ر ع ن ا س ي ئ ات ن او ت و ف ن ام ع األ ب ر ار Our Lord, forgive us, therefore, our errors and remove from us our evils, and in death number us with the righteous. ]90233[ اے امہرے ر ص ب! سپ امہرے انگہ شخب دے اور مہ ےس امہری رباایئں دور رکدے اور ںیمہ وکینںےک اسھت ومت دے ر ب ن ا أ خ ر ج ن ا م ن ه ذ ه ال ق ر ي ة الظ ال م أ ه ل ه او اج ع لل ن ا م ن ل د ن ك و ل ي او اج ع لل ن ا م ن ل د ن ك ن ص ري ا Our Lord, take us out of this town, whose people are oppressors, and make for us some friend from Thyself, and make for us from Thyself some helper? ]3024[ اے امہرے ر ص ب! وت ںیمہ اس یتسب ےس اکنل سج ےک رےنہ واےل اظمل ںیہ اور امہرے ےئل اینپ انجب ےس وکیئ نرپتس انب دے اور امہرے ےئل اینپ انجب ےس وکیئ دمداگر رقمر رک

37 ر ب ن ا ظ ل م ن ا أ نف س ن ا و إ ن ل م ت غ ف ر ل ن ا و ت ر ح ن ال ن ك ون ن م ن ا ل اس ر ين Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves; and if Thou forgive us not and have not mercy on us, we shall surely be of the lost. ]2023[ اے امہرے ر ص ب! مہ ےن اینپ اجونں رپ ملظ ایک اور ارگ وت ےن ںیمہ اعمف ہن ایک اور مہ رپ رمح ہن ایک وت انیقی مہ ٹاھ ا ناھےن واولں ںیم ےس وہاجںیئ ےگ ر ب ن ا أ ف ر غ ع ل ي ن ا ص ب ا و ت و ف ن ا م س ل م ي Our Lord, pour forth upon us steadfastness and cause us to die resigned unto Thee. ] [اے امہرے ر ص ب! مہرپ ربص اڈنلی اور ںیمہ املسمن وہےن ا احتل ںیم وافت دے ر ب ن اال ت ع ل ن ا ف ت ن ة ل ل ق و م الظ ا ل ي Our Lord, put us not with the unjust people. ]203:[ اے امہرے ر ص ب! ںیمہ اظمل ولوگں ںیم ےس ہن انبان

38 م ق يمالص ال ة و م ن ذ ر ي ت ر ب ن او ت ق ب ل د ع اء ر ب اج ع ل ن My Lord, make me observe Prayer, and my children too. Our Lord! bestow Thy grace on me and accept my prayer. ]23032[ اےریمےر ص ب! ےھجمامنزاقمئرکےنواالانباورریمیولسنںوکیھب اےامہرےر ص ب! اورریمیداعوبقلرک اب ر ب ن ااغ ف ر ل و ل و ال د ي و ل ل م ؤ م ن ي ي و م ي ق وما ل س Our Lord, grant forgiveness to me and to my parents and to the believers on the day when the reckoning will take place. ]23032[ اے امہرے ر ص ب! ےھجم ششخب دے اور ریمےوادلنی وک یھب اور ومونمں وک یھب سج دن اسحب رباپ وہاگ ر ب ن ا آت ن ا م ن ل د ن ك ر ح ة و ه ي ئ ل ن ا م ن أ م ر ن ا ر ش د ا Our Lord, bestow on us mercy from Thyself, and provide for us right guidance in our affair. ]2:022[ اے امہرے ر ص ب! ںیمہ اینپ انجب ےس رتمح اطع رک اور امہرے اعمےلم ںیم ںیمہ دہاتی اطعرک

O Allah, bestow Your blessings on Muhammad and the people of Muhammad.

We make You a shield against enemies and we take refuge in You from their evils. اےاہللمہھجتوک)دونمشں( ےکونیسںںیمرکےتںیہینعیوتیہانرپااسیواررکسجےسایکنزدنیگاکہلسلسعطقنموہاجےئاورمہانارشاروتںےسچباجںیئ اور انےکرشےسریتیانپہاچےتہںیہ ر يب ک ل ش ی ئ خ اد م ک ر يب ف اح ف ظ ن و ان ص ر ن و ار ح ن O my Lord everything serves You. 45 Lā yu`minu abdun ḥattā yuḥibba li-`akhīhī mā yuḥibbu li-nafsihī minal- Khair(i) No servant (of Allah) truly believes unless he likes for his brother whatever he likes for himself (Musnad Aḥmad bin Ḥanbal). اإليمان( كتاب مسلم )صحيح ك ل ه ا لأح ي اء خ أي ر -6 `Al-ḥayā u khayrun kulluh(ū) Modesty is all virtue (Saḥīḥ Muslim). اإليمان( كتاب البخاري )صحيح ف س و ق الأم أ سل م س ب اب -7 Sibābul- Muslimi fusūq Insulting a Muslim is an evil (Saḥīḥul-Bukhārī). م أفت اح الأج ن ة الص ل ة و م أفت اح الص ل ة الأو ض وء )سنن الترمذي كتاب الطهارة عن رسول اهلل( -8 Miftāḥul- Jannati-ṣ- Ṣalā(tu) wa- miftāḥu-ṣ-ṣalātil-wuḍū` The key to Paradise is the Daily Prayer and the key to the Daily prayer is Ablution (Sunanut-Tirmidhī). ل أيس الأخ ب ر ك الأم ع اي ن ة )مسند أحمد هاشم( بني مسند ومن كتاب -9 Laisal- khabaru kal- mu āyanah Hearsay is not like seeing (Musnad Aḥmad bin Ḥanbal). اهلل( رسول عن اإليمان كتاب الترمذي )سنن الص ل ة ت أر ك الأك أف ر و ب أي ن الأع أب د ب أين -11 Bainal- abdi wa-bainal- Kufri tarku-ṣ-ṣalah What leads a servant (of Allah) to disbelief is the non-observance of the Daily Prayer (Sunanut-Tirmidhī). الترمذي )سنن الأج ن ة ف ي م ثأل ه ل ه الل ه ب ن ى م أ سج د ا ل ل ه ب ن ى م أ ن كتاب الص لة( -11

46 Man banā lil-lāhī masjidan banal-lāhū lahū mithlahū fil- Jannah The one who builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, Allah will build a house for him in Paradise (Sunanut- Tirmidhī). القرآن( فضائل كتاب البخاري )صحيح و ع ل م ه الأق أ رآ ن ت ع ل م م أ ن خ أير ك أ م -12 Khairukum man ta allamal- Qur`āna wa- allamah(ū) The best among you is the one who learns the Qur ān and teaches it to others (Saḥīḥul-Bukhārī). ا لدب( كتاب داوود أبي )سنن الأم أؤم ن م أ رآة ا لأم أؤم ن -13 `Almu minu mir`ātul- Mu`min A believer is a mirror of another believer (Sunan abī Dāwūd). ا لدب( كتاب البخاري )صحيح ق اط ع الأج ن ة ي أدخ ل ل -14 Lā yadkhulul- Jannata qāti The one who severs the ties of kinship will not enter Paradise (Saḥīḥul-Bukhārī). ا لنصار( مسند باقي كتاب أحمد )مسند ك ف اع ل ه الأخ أي ر ع ل ى الد ا ل إ ن -15 `Inna-d-Dālla alāl- Khair ka- fā ilih(ī) The one who urges others to perform goods gets the reward of the doer (Musnad Aḥmad bin Ḥanbal). )سنن اأإل يم ا ن أص ف ن و الط ه و ر الص بأ ر أص ف ن ا لص أ وم الترمذي كتاب اهلل( رسول عن الدعوات -16 `Aṣṣawmu niṣfu-ṣ-ṣabri wa-ṭ-ṭuhūru niṣful- `Īmān Fasting is half the patience and cleanliness is half of the faith (Sunanut-Tirmidhī).

And the best supplication is to profess: All praise belongs to Allah.
