1 When we honour our environment and are honest about our body and mind and its needs at any time, and eat, sleep, play, practice, laugh in tune with that understanding, the very act of living becomes easier. It is easier to feel peaceful, enthusiastic, happy, loving, etc as we are not fighting against what is, instead we are being honest about what we really need to stay in balance. Sometimes it is right to rest, sometimes it is right to play. Being flexible to understand that we will be nourished at different times by different things depending on the time of day, season of the year, time in our life, current life situation etc. allows a great wisdom and fluidity to come. Marit, at Seasonal Yoga 300 hour Advanced Teacher training Qualification: Core Program Information Thank you for your interest in the 300 hour teacher training course. During this course we shall be supporting your evolution in 3 ways: Your Personal Evolution Your Evolution as a Yogi Your Evolution as a Yoga Teacher We will do this through the attendance and passing of the 300 hour core program (200 credits) (a requirement to gain your accredited 300 hour certificate) and then the addition of your teaching specialisms that you are interested in to make up to your required 300 credits. This could be the advanced seasonal teachings (), seasonal yin (), Club Morgan training (30 credits), Wise ones course (25 credits), Aerial training (25 credits), pre and post natal training (85 credits), or the addition of any of the qualifying cpd trainings that we run. The core program will be completed in 1 year, however you may include the additional trainings within that year, or at your leisure within a 3 year period. The Core Program: In this part of the course, we focus on your personal development, going deeper on your personal yoga journey and in particular taking these teachings off your mat and into your life. You shall also be learning teaching skills, practices to take you deeper with your students in your posture work, and advanced techniques to support your evolution as a yoga teacher. The syllabus is packed with more than the requirements set out for the regular 300 hour courses. As a taster - We shall be exploring a deeper level of practice, mentoring teachers in training, Karma Yoga, studying the Bhagavad Gita with some of the most qualified teachers in the UK, exploring the fundamental Yogic concepts in more depth, building a specialism, group study time, and more. At the end of this year, all of our students felt that they had changed; they had been challenged and grown as a person and as a teacher.
2 Admin The structure of the course, is 13 Saturday s 7.30am 7.30pm. There is also the introductory day on the Sunday before the course begins, and an additional day in module 13 for assessments. All dates available online. The highlights: We shall be going deeper into the Seasonal practice by introducing you to using the Elements within your teaching. You shall study Traditional Kundalini Yoga, which is style of practice which cultivates the kundalini energy through powerful mudras which will help you to experience prana and its effects first hand. This is not available to those new to yoga and is on the course for your experience and development so you go further in your practice and gives you tools to help your students do the same. We shall study the Self Enquiry methods of meditation by Ramana Maharshi. You shall learn advanced pranayama techniques and consolidate those learnt on the 200 hour course, with time to practice teaching and recapping them all regularly so by the end of the course your pranayama knowledge will have a greater depth and applicability. Each of you shall be cultivating a specialism as part of the course, we shall start thinking about this in our first meeting and by the end of the program you shall have delivered a workshop, and an asana class. This is a real highlight for all as you learn from each other and are exposed to a wide variety of yoga subjects. You shall be mentoring the 200 hour teachers in training (with lots of support ) as their home study leaders. This is a wonderful way of learning and sharing and has proven to be some of the most fulfilling aspects of the course for our participants. We will also study the Bhagavad Gita, with Oxford University Centre for Hindu Studies online, it is a 7 module course that we shall watch the sessions on our own and read the material and then get together for group discussion to share our understanding and help each other to explore this wonderful text. A true gift to be studying with such knowledgeable teachers in such a supportive and accessible way. In addition we shall be exploring Karma Yoga and Seva (selfless service) through a charity project that we shall start engaging with right from the first time we meet. You are welcome to do this through our community outreach projects that are already running.
3 We shall be supporting your home meditation practice as an integral part of your personal journey during the year. Studying the modern masters of Yoga, including Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Pattabi Jois, BKS Iyengar, Amma, etc. We shall be looking deeper into the anatomy differences between bodies and applying how this impacts teachings postures. We shall be looking at some advanced teaching tips, and applying them during your practical sessions. We shall be including home learning with reading and evolution assignments etc., to support your growth throughout the year. The detail: Below there is a guide to the content of the course, please be aware things may change module to module depending on content. The Yamas and Niyamas; Exploring Yoga s Ethical Practice by Deborah Adele (reference text for whole course). 5. Your Body Your Yoga by Bernie Claire (reference text for whole course). 6. Yoga Wisdom; Teachings on Happiness, Peace, and Freedom by Georg Feuerstein (this is an audio - 2 cds 150 mins in total). 7. The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer (also on the reading list for 200 hour course) 8. The Art of Happiness - the Dalai Lama 9. A New Earth - Ekhart Tolle You shall also be required to enrol in the Hindu Studies online (University of Oxford Hindu Department) course for the Bhagavad Gita, for 95. Assessments In order to ensure that you are getting the most out of the course, we shall be offering assessments to all those who wish to graduate with a certificate. These shall be to complete a log book, to complete the online Bhagavad Gita course (not including assessed essay), to lead a 30 min Yoga Nidra, to cultivate a specialism and lead a 45 minute workshop and 45 minute Yoga practice on this subject, lead a minute asana class with the large group, to perform a 15 minute book review of a significant text that has inspired you on the Yoga path, perform a 10 minute talk on a modern Yoga master (assigned) and a 10 minute information feedback session on your charity project. These assessments shall be performed each module by the students on the course so you shall all be learning from each other and inspiring one another all year.

6 Seasonal Yin (Marit & Sue) Wise Ones course (Julie, Sue and Marit) Full day workshop each season (6 seasons per year) (Runs same weekend as advanced seasonal) Day begins with a meditation and yin practice, then discussion of the seasonal influences for that time of year, focus on yin postures of the season and their anatomy in detail. We will be exploring anatomical and skeletal differences and how they influence your teaching and practice. We shall also be looking into the Taoist philosophy behind the practice. Each day will end with a practice. Teaching how to work with the older population, the healthy (ish) year olds. We will work in 3 sections, young old, old, and old old, showing appropriate practices for each age group and advice for how to adapt the practices to meet each populations needs. Each workshop day is one day - Saturday. 10am 5.30pm. 7.5 contact hours each 1 non-contact hour. Each day will begin with a guided class and will close with a hammock relaxation. The remainder of Fri and Sat will go through the full posture manual, breaking down the teaching points of the postures, guidance on class planning, safety instruction, and hanging hammocks. Training also covers marketing, child development, teachings skills and child protection. This course is suitable for those who have a 200 hour teacher training qualification. It covers all aspects of pre and post-natal.
