2 Greetings Women of God, Sisters in Christ, When we began the planning for our women s ministry and shared with you what the Lord had given us in December where we were headed as a ministry for 2010, there was a different spirit in the air and it is all because of you! As I shared the vision that God had given me, there was immediate excitement about what God wanted to do in us and through us. I have seen how you have received our theme, It s the God in Me! You have taken it seriously and have been about our Father s business, continually building up the people of God here at Mt. Calvary and beyond. You have been proactive more than reactive and I bless the Lord in how you have strived to put on tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience and yes even forgiveness. I say that it is you but we know it is the God in you that has made all things possible. However my sisters in Christ, you had to have a willing heart and a giving spirit. I commend you once again for how you responded out of a spirit of selflessness to our plea to help with Haiti relief efforts by honoring our request for baby and health kits. You bought supplies and brought money and made it happen! (as did some of our brothers too) You have recognized that the God in you was meant to be shared with other believers and a dying world. The initiative that you have taken with reinvigorating our girl s ministry has just been awesome and it can only get better as we go higher in Him. With much prayer and faithful leadership our first in-house women s conference scheduled for November 5-6 is shaping up to be a blessing of untold measure. How you came together in a spirit of unity around the planning for this month- day and gospel long celebration has been superb! Thank you women s day, revival, mother s cruise committees for working tirelessly to make this month a success in the eye-sight of God and man. Women of Mt. Calvary I celebrate you; your giftedness, your virtue, your giving spirit, your growth and the possibilities in you that have yet to be revealed. Eyes have not seen and ears have not heard, nor has it entered into your minds what God has in store for you because you love Him so. What I do know is that our expected outcome is a good one for no good thing shall He withhold from the righteous. As I celebrate you always, but especially this Women s Month 2010, celebrate each other, celebrate yourselves because the God in you is looking some kinda wonderful! Got Nothin but Love For Ya! Rev. Dr. Lora Hargrove Assistant Pastor And have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. Col. 3:

8 8 Women s Day Litany It s the God in Me! (Drawn from Colossians 3:10-14, NLT) Leader: We must put on our new nature and be renewed. As God s people we must learn to know our Creator and become like Him, for the Spirit of Christ is the God in us! People: I thank God this day for the God in me! Leader: In this new life with Jesus Christ, it doesn t matter if you are a Jew or a Gentile, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbaric, uncivilized, slave or free. People: Christ is all that matters and He is the God in me! Leader: Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves in His ways; make allowances for each other s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. People: This is why we can declare that tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, patience and forgiveness is God shining forth in me! Leader: Above all clothe yourselves in love which binds us all together in perfect harmony. All: More than anything and above everything, LOVE is the God in me! Despite my faults and beyond my imperfections we thank you Jesus that it s not me but it is the God in me, and the God in my sisters and my brothers that makes the difference! Alleluia and AMEN. And have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 9 9 Celebration of Giving Litany MINISTER: It is now time for us to share in giving. Why do we give? CONGREGATION: We give because all we have comes from God. According to Deuteronomy 8:18, it is God who gives us the power to get wealth. MINISTER: Why do we give? CONGREGATION: We give because God commands us. Malachi 3:10 states that we are to bring the full tithe into God s storehouse. MINISTER: Why do we give? CONGREGATION: We give because God said in Luke 6:38, to give and He would give back to us a more abundant blessing. MINISTER: Why do we give? CONGREGATION: We give because 2 Corinthians 9:7 states that God loves a cheerful giver. ALL: Thank you Lord, for the privilege of giving. We are excited about paying the tithe and giving the offering. We know that you are faithful to your promises. Therefore, we trust you in faith to do what you have said. AMEN! 13 13 Ministry Focus FAMILY The most precious gift to receive is to be adopted into the family of God. Ephesians 1:4-5 says In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will." Because we are Christians, we are knit together with other family members (believers) all around the world. As family members, we must join together to pray and worship our Heavenly Father. These are ways we can show our love for Him. We must also love each other. We must not allow any barriers to separate us. After all, we will be worshiping the Lord together in heaven some day.
