1 CELEBRATION OF GIVING LITANY LEADER: It is now time for us to share in giving. Why do we give? CONGREGATION: We give because all we have comes from God. According to Deuteronomy 8:18, it is God who gives us the power to get wealth. LEADER: Why do we give? CONGREGATION: We give because God commands us. Malachi 3:10 states that we are to bring the full tithe into God s storehouse. LEADER: Why do we give? CONGREGATION: We give because God said in Luke 6:38, to give and He would give back to us a more abundant blessing. LEADER: Why do we give? CONGREGATION: We give because 2 Corinthians 9:7 states that God loves a cheerful giver. ALL: Thank you Lord, for the privilege of giving. We are excited about paying the tithe and giving the offering. We know that you are faithful to your promises. Therefore, we trust you in faith to do what you have said. AMEN!

2 ANNOUNCEMENTS July 16-22, 2018 FROM OUR CHURCH OFFICE All announcements and music for Sunday s Bulletin should be submitted to the office by 3 p.m. on Monday before the coming Sunday. Announcements are printed on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays. REMINDER: USE OF CHURCH FACILITIES - EVENING AND SATURDAY HOURS OF OPERATION Monday through Friday 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (Security lock-up) Saturday and Sunday 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Security lock-up) FROM OUR CHURCH PHOTOGRAPHER Requests for photography from all ministries and organizations should be made by completing a photography form located outside the church office. Please leave the completed request with the church secretary in the church office. NO PARKING WARNING A few weeks ago, the car of one of our members was towed from the parking lot directly across the street from the church. This unfortunate event occurred even though there were no signs indicating that parking on the store lot was prohibited for nonpatrons. We encourage you to avoid parking on the lot. Retrieving your car from a tow lot can cost upwards of $125.

3 YOUTH ANNOUNCEMENTS HISTORICAL BLACK COLLEGE AND UNIVERSITY WEEK 8th Annual Historical Black College and University Planning Meeting Yes! Yes! Yes! It is time to begin planning our 8th Annual College Fair. Sincere thanks to our church family for blessing this event with your prayers, time, talent and money. We still need you! The 8th fair will be held on Saturday, November 3, Our first planning meeting will be a "brainstorming/planning session which will be held on Sunday, July 22, 2018 after the 10 a.m. Worship Service. We need prayer warriors, alumni to represent their college/university, committee chairpersons, seminar leaders and committee members. We need your expertise! CHRISTEN EDUCATION MINISTRY Hero Central Vacation Bible School has begun and continue until the return of Children's Church in October. It will meet every first, second, third and fifth Sunday. All youth from K to grade 12 are invited to participate so you may continue to "Discover Your Strengths in God" The next meeting of the CEM is rescheduled for July 17 in Room 207. NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2018 National Night Out, America s night out against crime, is on August 7, 2018 and Mt. Calvary Baptist Church is a host location. We are excited to host this event again this year! This is a great opportunity to meet our neighbors in the Lincoln Park Community and for them to meet us. We need your help to make this event a success and are asking for volunteers to sign up today outside of the LGFLC. If you have any questions, please contact Deacon Mary McLean or Deacon De Ana Dow.
