Walla Walla's facebook posted this message. We are saddened to inform you that Walla Walla University lost a treasured member of our campus family this evening with the death of Madison Baird. At the time of her death, Maddy was surrounded by family and friends, who were singing together and sharing messages of hope from the hundreds who loved her. Maddy was a bright light on our campus and in our community, and our hearts are broken. The Madison Jewel Baird Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, Feb. 15, at 6 pm in the Walla Walla University Church. Following the service, a time of praise and worship will be held in the Walla Walla Valley Academy 1

4 The Eau Claire Pathfinder Bible Experience Team scored a FIRST place last week in the Regional Round. They advance to the state level on March 7. Thank you for all your prayers, cards and visits since Erich's hospital stay. We appreciate it very much. ~ Barbara and Erich Swoboda Prayers for Gladly Lamour the 12 year old cousin of an Mdiv student from Andrews University Seminary that has been kidnapped in Haiti.Please pray for his safety, and safe return to his family. Prayer for Union College student Heather Boulais who fell from over 20 ft. while setting up a gymnastics apparatus is now out of a coma. Please continue to keep her health journey and her family in prayer. Follow progress at 4

5 Would you mind adding Ildiko Gyeresi and the Gyeresi family to your list of prayers for the next month or so? Her husband, Erno, just passed away this last Sabbath shortly before 1pm. He was a former manager of mine and a good friend. He was only 54 and succumbed to a years-long struggle with cancer. I know it would be meaningful to his family to know that they are being lifted in prayer. David Stratton. Important Announcements Parents - Church bags will be available soon with appropriate quiet activities for your child to play with during church. There will be bags for 3-6 yr old and for 7-10 yr old. You can help us maintain the bags by taking home any used papers and monitoring your child's use of them. You will be able to find the bags near the entrance of the Sanctuary. Please return them to the boxes after use. Tax document statements are in the mailboxes. If you have any questions, contact Sheila. Even if you think you don't have a mailbox, you probably do now. Alert! Date Change! Due to numerous conflicts, the Purim Celebration has been changed from Sunday, March 1st to Sunday March 8th at 5:30 pm. Please update your calendars Please remember the Worthy Student Fund in your giving. We have only received $778 of $4290. We need your help. Are you interested in learning how to use the church's new Automated External Defibrillator? The church will hold training on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 from 11:00-1:00 in the church fellowship hall for the purpose of becoming familiar with the use and operation of our new AED. The church will pay the cost of $10 for at least 12 people to take this training. This training will be taught by Gregg Morrow and Jessica Larson. We are just offering the familiarization training with no certificate which would cost much more. This familiarization is open to the whole church. Anyone can take the training. 5
