MEN S BIBLE STUDY Pastor Hall s Thursday study meets in the Harvester classroom at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Harrington s Wednesday morning Bible study meets at the Daily Grind, 7:00 a.m. in the back room. YOUTH NEWS: Homerun tonight at the Worley s following evening worship service. NO Youth Group on Wednesday, 11/27 Boys High School Bible study Monday at 7 p.m. at the church. Girls High School Bible study today at 4:45 p.m.
3 TUESDAY WOMEN S BIBLE STUDY: All ladies are cordially invited to attend one of these studies. Childcare is provided for infants 5 years of age for morning studies. Circle of Grace weekly Bible Study has completed the current study of Hebrews. After a few weeks off, we will begin a new study in January. Please consider joining us at that time. Lydia Circle meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, in the conference room, to study the Letter to the Ephesians. The Ladies Evening Bible Study meets the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at Joyce Talley s home, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. to study Hebrews. Ruth Circle will begin a new study in January entitled The Son of David-- Seeing Jesus in the Historical Books by Nancy Guthrie. Please join us as we gain a fresh perspective on Israel s history and God s kingdom, a broader understanding of Jesus as the fulfillment of scripture. We will begin this new study on January 21st, meeting at 10AM in the Fellowship Sunday School Class. All ladies are welcome! CHILDREN S MINISTRY: This coming Wednesday is the annual Thanksgiving Worship Service. There will no children s activities. The two Wednesday nights in December (12/4 and 12/11) we will be making Christmas crafts and studying Bible Stories pointing to the birth of Christ. Sundays: Assembly at 9:45 a.m. with songs and announcements followed by Sunday School for ages 4 to 10 at 10:00 a.m. There is Children s Church during morning and evening worship services. In the morning we will be learning about Advent and in the evening will be studying Pilgrim s Progress. UPWARD COACHES NEEDED Upward Basketball is in need of coaches. To volunteer, contact Coach Paul Struwe at or paul.struwe@midwayschol.org. MIDWAY COVENANT CHRISTIAN SCHOOL is conducting school tours every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in preparation for the upcoming school year. Enrollment begins on January 27 th for church members and opens to the public on February 3 rd. Please call the school at to make a reservation. PLEASE PRAY FOR PHIL & RYAN SCHROCK as they travel to Haiti this week to deliver the backpacks that were collected here at Midway. DECORATING FOR CHRISTMAS - Men and women of all ages are invited to decorate the church for Christmas on Tuesday, December 3 rd at 10:00 a.m. Your help would be greatly appreciated. WOMEN S MINISTRY CHRISTMAS EVENT - Women of all ages are invited to the Christmas Event, Tuesday, Dec. 10 th at 7 p.m. Come enjoy a catered dinner and fellowship. Sign up in Sunday School or at the Women s Ministry table. Nursery is available by reservation only. POINSETTIAS FOR CHRISTMAS - If you would like to donate a poinsettia in honor/memory of a loved one, please sign up at the Women s Ministry table or in Sunday School. We will take orders through December 15 th. The cost is $10 each. For more information, contact Amanda Hall CHRISTMAS BASKETS - The Women s Ministry will be assembling and delivering baskets of goodies to people in our covenant family on Tuesday, Dec. 10 th at 10 a.m. Volunteers are needed to donate fruit, baked goods, candy, etc. for the baskets. Sign-up sheets will be sent around in Sunday School and on the Women s Ministry Table. If you have questions or know of anyone who should receive a basket, contact Sandra Thomas
4 Angel Tree & Little Lambs - Each year at Christmas we have the opportunity to provide gifts for the children at Cobb Street Ministries (Little Lambs) and children of prisoners (Angel Tree sponsored by Prison Fellowship Ministries). The Lambs and Angels will be in our fellowship hall lobby for you to pick up over the next several weeks. There will be detailed instructions on each lamb or angel, and a list to sign indicating which lamb or angel you chose. The deadline for bringing gifts to the church is Sunday, December 15 th. Drivers are always needed to deliver the gifts the following week.
