Registration is closed EASTER DIGITAL ADVERTISING GRANTS AVAILABLE: The Rethink Church Grants Team is accepting applications for 2016 Easter Digital Advertising Grants. They are for local churches who want to raise awareness of their church in the community by means of online digital advertising during the Easter season. These ads will link directly to the church website and will be geo-targeted to each church s community. Deadline: January 7, 2016! The grant provides pre-designed static banners that display a seasonal Rethink Church message, the Rethink Church logo, the UMC brand promise and the local church logo. If a church does not have a logo, we can create a brand standard logo for them. The ads will run February March Ads may be seen on websites as large as CNN and The Weather Channel as well as on local news websites. We also provide a follow-up report on click through rates and site visits to each church from the advertising period. 7 Sager Brown Youth Team July 24-30, 2016 Apply by: April 1, Join the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) in the work of disaster response and fighting poverty at Sager Brown, the main warehouse and shipping depot for UMCOR. Volunteers work readying and verifying relief supply kits so they can be sent as a sign of comfort and hope to a community in distress. Age Cost $600 WPA VIM Team Application Algonquin Canoe Trip 2016: Monday, August 1 to Wednesday, August 10, This event offers a weeklong wilderness experience of canoeing and primitive camping in the north woods of Ontario s Algonquin Provincial Park. Campers enjoy seeing wildlife in a rugged and beautiful land of lakes, rivers, and forests. Around the campfire, we talk about God, the wonder of his creation, and what it means to live our faith in fellowship with others. Prior canoeing and camping experience is helpful, but not necessary. The cost of the trip includes most canoeing and camping equipment, as well as transportation from Erie, PA to and from Algonquin Park. This event is open to adults and teens who are at least 15 years old. 9 The 2016 United Methodist Program Calendar app is now available for Apple and Android devices. The app (UM Official Calendar App) is free to download for a 14-day trial and includes all of the planning and directory information in the Official Program Calendar of The United Methodist Church. The app allows users to bookmark content for later use, add notes and annotations, filter lectionary readings by date or book of the Bible and share content with others. After the trial period, users can continue viewing 2015 and 2016 calendar data via quarterly subscriptions or an annual subscription. Subscriptions allow viewing of content released in the period purchased; purchased content will not expire.
