Brendan Mc Crossan One The devastation left behind Today I was reading through a local newspaper and I notice there were a lot of men being jailed, or charged with abuse, even towards their own daughter s and grandchildren, and it made me feel saddened at their behaviour, and later on I had to repent of my feelings at these men. Then that night while laying trying to sleep, some men and women that Rose and I prayed with over the years in our healing ministry came to my mind, and how they either abused, or were abused, and the devastation that was left behind because of a selfish sexual act. And I thought of Jesus and what did he think of these people who did the abusing, would he forgive them? then I remembered that Jesus died once, and for all, for all have sinned, and your sin or my sin is no less than theirs before God. Romans 3:23-Living Bible Yes, all have sinned; all fall short of God s glorious ideal; We can t judge or condemn anyone for we also have sinned in many ways only God knows what we have done in the flesh, or even in the mind for he says in scripture, if you even think about something wrong then you have done it as far as God is concerned. You may have never touched a young girl or boy; but you have entertained it in your thinking about it, and God says it is the same as doing it. I have changed the names of these people and the places where they worked or I worked, for the sake of their grieving families. Matthew 5Living Bible (TLB) 27 The laws of Moses said, You shall not commit adultery. 28 But I say: anyone who even looks at a woman with lust in his eye has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 So if your eye even if it is your best eye! causes you to lust, gouge it out and throw it away. Better for part of you to be destroyed than for all of you to be cast into hell You may be sitting here smug because you didn t rape or abuse a child or a young girl or boy or a woman; but did you ever think about it? If you

harboured those types of thoughts, than as far as God is concerned you are guilty of that sin, and are just as guilty as the man or woman who committed those types of heinous evil acts. When a man defiles a child or young girl, he never thinks of the devastation he leaves behind, to him it was an act of selfish gratification that lasted probably no more than a few minutes. Sin being what it is leaves behind it guilt; for the devil or some evil spirit gets the person to sin, and then torments them with guilt; that s the normal procedure with the devil. But a man or woman can block out this out, and keep on abusing, or I will rather call it rape, not abuse if a child is penetrated. After a man rapes a child that child grows up with seriously mixed emotions, the first is usually unreal guilt, which the man /woman puts on them, telling them it was their fault, and followed by feelings of shame, dirty and shock at what they did, but they re not the real culprit, the man /woman is. They transfer this guilt unto the child and warns it to keep their secrete or something may happen to mummy or daddy, and the poor child believes this. It takes years for this child to come to terms with what happened to them and sadly some never do and so some commit suicide. Some even tell the child they are special, the best one, or the favourite one; man uses many lies to cover up what he done. The point that I am making is this, that child grows up so damaged, that only God can heal what happened to her or even him. And sometime they suffer years of reliving rape and abuse, mental and physical. Guilt is a terrible thing when it is used the wrong way. The rapist rarely feels feelings of remorse but some do and sadly they kill themselves, like Michael {not his real name} I worked with this man and he followed me around everywhere in the pet shop where I worked, I even had to hide from him at times as he persecuted me so much. He knew I believed in God, but he kept disparaging everything I said, but he still followed me around, I don t know why when he had such a bad attitude towards God, maybe deep down he needed forgiveness and trying to win arguments with me was in some way he was searching for mercy; I don t truly know, I pray that he repented and asked Jesus into his heart before he killed himself. I didn t know until he disappeared and the police were searching for him North and South of the border here in Ireland, that his daughter was threatening to tell her mother what he had been doing; so Michael drove

his car down to Southern Ireland and hid it in a field; then he took a garden hose and taped it to his car window and put the other end into the exhaust pipe and turned the car on, and sat there until he died. I know for fact that he left a lot of devastation behind him. His poor daughter almost lost her mind knowing that because she could no longer take his raping her, and threatened to tell her mother this was the reason he killed himself, but no matter what he done to her, he was still her father. Over the following years I heard that this girl was severely depressed and was on medication to try and put down the memories, and her mother had been told what her husband had been doing before they found his body, and wouldn t believe her; neither did her sisters or brothers, and so they blamed her for their father s death, and she suffered abuse in another way this time, abuse of disbelief because he never touched anyone else. She was accused of being his favourite? because he took her everywhere and bought her stuff, {all to keep her quiet,} and the other kids were jealous of her. They didn t know it was all a ploy to keep her silent, until she could take no more, she was now growing up and realised what her father was doing to her was wrong, and unnatural, and he could no longer keep her silent, so deciding he could not take the shame of what he d done and face jail, like his elder brother for abusing his own daughters, he took his own life deciding this was his only way out from having to face his wife and family and the police and public. This man s brother was in jail for raping his kids. What has happened to these men to make them Rapist also? To explain it even more their own father had raped and sodomised his daughters and brothers most of their lives, right up until adulthood, sneaking into their bedrooms at night; and sadly his wife, their mother, knew what he was doing, but deciding he was leaving her alone giving her peace, she turned a blind eye away from what he was doing. This man then turned his attention to his little granddaughters, and his own daughter even used to leave him to babysit; a strange situation indeed. What, or should I say, who, had blinded these mothers to leave their children with this predator, and of course it was the age old enemy of mankind, Satan the devil. This whole family were caught in Satan s web of deception, none of the sisters wanted to make a fuss when they went to their mother s home to

visit her, each unaware that the others had been raped for years just like them; they each thought that this was just their guilty secrete, until the police called and arrested him because one of then decided enough was enough, and he wasn t going to touch her child, it was only then that the bubble burst and it all came flooding out, for after Michael took his life, his sister made the decision to tell the police what happened her, and then later to her shock she found out he had raped and buggered all of them. There is so much pain and destruction in this family they decided to bury it and not press charges against their father; again Guilt and shame and pride kept them from sending him to jail. They didn t want their names spread all over the media and all through the town. Satan the devil is one cunning bastard. All of this family suffered rape and abuse of all kinds for he was a harsh cruel father beating them many times, keeping them silent. All of this family were healed except for one part. One of them decided to ask for a family meeting as their father and mother were out at an alcoholic s anonymous meeting that night, so she knew they would be safe to talk among themselves with their mother and father away for the night, sitting down everyone began to go silent wondering what their sister called this meeting for. Standing up the sister began telling them what their father had been doing to her, and a shocked silence filled the room, then the room filled with the sound of weeping as each sister and brother broke down and told the others that they also had been raped by him. They talked among themselves, and each decided not to go to the police but to keep it internal among themselves; for they all decided that this would destroy them as men and women, and as a family, everyone would know that they had sex with their father and the shame would be unbearable, even though it was not in truth their shame but his. So making a decision among themselves they decided to do nothing. I don t know for certain if they all chose to forgive their parents, the father for his rape and abuse and the mother for turning a blind eye to what he was doing. I do know they challenged him when he returned home from their meeting and he pleaded guilty; I didn t find out what happened as a result of that meeting, but I know that he got off. Sadly one took a breakdown and ended up with mental problems and the others swallowed down what had happened to them, and chose to come visit their mother even when he was there. Shortly afterwards their father and mother moved house because someone had leaked a little of what happened to the girls and boys, and so rumour s

soon spread, so they left to go to another place away from where they lived. A friend of mine talked with some of the girls afterwards and got them to forgive their father, but I don t know what happened to the rest. I do know they never left their children with them anymore, and later when he died one of them took the mother into her own home. This man in the later part of his life went to Mass every day sometimes twice a day, probably seeking forgiveness, only God knows. Can a paedophile be forgiven? Yes; even the worst of sinners has already been forgiven by Jesus going to the cross and dying for their sins not his own for he had no sin on him. Will God forgive this man; is there mercy for this paedophile. Yes there is for Jesus died once and for all 1 Peter 3Living Bible (TLB) Christ also suffered. He died once for the sins of all us guilty sinners although he himself was innocent of any sin at any time, that he might bring us safely home to God. Two Jesus died only once for our sins; and this act provided forgiveness for the paedophile, the murdered, the thief doing the worst unthinkable horrible sin that man could perform on one another. Yes Jesus died for Hitler s sins; Cornel Gadifee, and Sadam Husain s; these people murdered thousands; he died for the sins that we are seeing on TV news, for Isis those terrible people who behead little babies and burn their mothers and fathers to death; even their sins are forgiven just as ours are. For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son for them, God s mercy goes out to every human being on this planet from the beginning until the last. That s how much God loves us; no matter how evil or perverse we become; he loves us and has already forgiven us and he even placed everyone s sins upon his son s body and Jesus paid for them on the cross on Calvary through his death. Romans 3-20-Living Bible (TLB)

20 Now do you see it? No one can ever be made right in God s sight by doing what the law commands. For the more we know of God s laws, the clearer it becomes that we aren t obeying them; his laws serve only to make us see that we are sinners But now God has shown us a different way to heaven not by being good enough and trying to keep his laws, but by a new way (though not new, really, for the Scriptures told about it long ago). Now God says he will accept and acquit us declare us not guilty if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same way, by coming to Christ, no matter who we are or what we have been like. 23 Yes, all have sinned; all fall short of God s glorious ideal; 24 yet now God declares us not guilty of offending him if we trust in Jesus Christ, who in his kindness freely takes away our sins. 25 For God sent Christ Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to end all God s anger against us. He used Christ s blood and our faith as the means of saving us from his wrath. In this way he was being entirely fair, even though he did not punish those who sinned in former times. For he was looking forward to the time when Christ would come and take away those sins; 26 and now in these days also he can receive sinners in this same way because Jesus took away their sins. But isn t this unfair for God to let criminals go free, and say that they are innocent? No, for he does it on the basis of their trust in Jesus who took away their sins. This scripture is a get out clause for every human being on this planet, since the beginning of time, until the last moment of time; Jesus took all of mans sins, that s the extent of the love of God. Maybe you didn t sin like Hitler or Sadam Hussein, or Isis, or like some other modern dictator that we seen on television executing his opponents or those he or she does not like. If every one of them seen this scripture and genuine asked for forgiveness they have it, for it is already given to the world even before they ask; it is there for every evil monster if they repent, even at the last moment; just like the good thief on the cross who said to Jesus, master remember me when you come into your kingdom, and Jesus said, this day you will be with me in paradise. He received the forgiveness that Jesus was dying for and Jesus died first so that he could accomplish his plan thereby destroying the devils work and plans. God s mercy outweighs his judgement as scripture tells us. James 2-10-Living Bible (TLB) 10 And the person who keeps every law of God but makes one little slip is just as guilty as the person who has broken every law there is

12 You will be judged on whether or not you are doing what Christ wants you to. So watch what you do and what you think; 13 for there will be no mercy to those who have shown no mercy. But if you have been merciful, then God s mercy toward you will win out over his judgment against you. Have another good look at this scripture; if you make one little, one tiny slip, you are just as guilty as the person who has broken every law of God, as far as God is concerned. It is not the size of your sin that God looks at it is the sin he sees. Mercy wins over God s judgement every time; that s how much God loves us, so if even the most horrific person on this planet cries out to God he is given as much forgiveness as you or me, it is not the size of the sins we commit it is the fact it is sin that separates us from him, but his mercy wins out every time it is asked for. So if that paedophile asks at the last moment of his life for mercy he shall have it. If he knows that Jesus died for his filthy foul sins and asks for forgiveness, and for Jesus to come into his heart he shall be saved. Not very fair is it you may be saying, but God loves him just as much as he loves you, he does not differentiates between you and him. If you stole a penny and he murdered millions there is no different is size, both of you sinned. In this book I am not comparing you against the Paedophile but comparing myself against Hitler and those other demon filled dictators, for their sins are the same size as mine. Romans 3-25-Living Bible (TLB) 25 For God sent Christ Jesus to take the punishment for our sins and to end all God s anger against us. He used Christ s blood and our faith as the means of saving us from his wrath. In this way he was being entirely fair, even though he did not punish those who sinned in former times; for he was looking forward to the time when Christ would come and take away those sins. 26 And now in these days also he can receive sinners in this same way because Jesus took away their sins. But isn t this unfair for God to let criminals go free, and say that they are innocent? No, for he does it on the basis of their trust in Jesus who took away their sins. If you have never understood the extent of the love that God has for us; then maybe you now can in these few scriptures.

Just like a mammy dotes on her new born baby so God dotes on us. He knows better than you there is an evil devil in this world, and many, many evil spirits that we cannot see, and cannot therefore tell what they are up to, and doing whatever to us since we left the womb and even in the womb. God had something to look forward to and that was Christ Jesus coming to pay for the sins of the world therefore making man right again with God. Now to give you a little comfort in all of this mercy you see in God, those people may never say sorry for their sins or ask Jesus into their hearts so who knows what fate is waiting in store for them. Now to get back to some more stories of Paedophiles and their actions and end results, and effects, and affects on their victims Three My boss called me into the office one afternoon and confessed to me that he just abused a young schoolgirl, a daughter of his close friend during his lunch break. He told me he groped her breasts, and she told him she was going to tell her mother and the police. He was in a state of panic, as you could guess knowing this friend of his would ring the police immediately after what he done to her daughter. And she did; for later that evening the police called with him and arrested him at home in front of his wife and teenage children, which was a terrible shock to his wife and family. So John caused a terrible thing to this young schoolgirl and then to his friend, and then to his wife and children; he caused distress to all of these people just for a quick grope at a child s breasts. I didn t know how long he had been thinking about this or what urged him to grope her, not thinking there would be consequences to pay for his actions. More than likely he had been studying this young girl as he visited his friend s home, and as I said I do not condone or judge this man s actions because God tells us to leave the judging to him. This man was a Christian, and I am a Christian so I prayed with him at work in the timber yard asking for forgiveness for his stupid act giving in to sin, and for mercy for him for his foolish act. There but for the grace of God go I, {we}, and I have no desire to judge anyone but to love them even when they done this sinful act. God tells us that we have to forgive no matter what anyone s sin is if they confessed it to us. Later on that evening I was informed by his son that his dad had been arrested and he told me what he done. I told him to forgive his father because we all have sinned, maybe not in the same way but in our minds as we studied some girl or woman s figure lusting after her, thinking sexual

thought about her/ him. I tried to get him to realise that he also talked about women in a sexual way, at work; the difference was his father acted on his thoughts. John was kept in custody and went to court the next day, and was then sentenced to a year in prison later on. He lost the friendship with his lifelong female friend; his wife was devastated and ashamed by his actions, his children were shamed and shocked as all their friends read in the papers of their fathers sin, they went through a terrible painful time as friends turned away from them for fear of being tainted by this fathers sin and showed their contempt for him also. Because of this man s one action it has brought a lifetime of judgement by the wider public; for months his action was in a particular newspaper on the front page highlighting his actions, and sometimes the papers lied about him exaggerating the story, but it made people who were his former friends and compatriots turn away from him and his wife and family. He didn t think before he grabbed that child and groped her breasts that there would be terrible consequences for his family, never mind him. He gave no thought, that if this girl would tell what he was thinking of doing before he acted, of the damage, shame, and pain to his wife and family; his own brothers and sisters; this sin spreads out to everyone he knows; the devil has a wider plan to cause the person to sin and then to destroy that person and all those connected to him. He gave no thought to any of the consequences only to his lust. Before you act on a lustful thought, think first what my action is going to cause me, shame, jail etc If you have been thinking along similar lines then maybe this chapter would stop you in your tracks and prevent so much devastation and destruction to your marriage and possibly children s lives. What! For a grope, a feel at someone s breasts, for a mere few minutes and then jail for years and lives shattered forever. People never forget, they still avoid this man and family, is it worth a grope to put yourself and your mother and father, your wife and family through hell with the devil laughing at you. This man and his family hang their heads in shame wherever they go even years later. He was lucky, his wife did not leave him, but stood by him through it all, others are not so lucky they lose everything. In jail you are separated from the regular criminals, and are put through a really bad time with the screws. And the normal prisoners if they could get to you, they would tear you apart; this man told me he spent his nights in terror, and if anything happened in the jail he heard the screws battering

their shields and fighting with the inmates, and the prisoners screaming in pain as they were beaten up. He told me of one night the screws were on a rampage and he heard someone screaming like an animal, he was in that much pain, it frightened the life out of him and he said that scream will linger with him forever. Galatians 6:1 TLB Dear brothers, if a Christian is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help him back onto the right path, remembering that next time it might be one of you who are in the wrong. Four Is there mercy for paedophiles? There is mercy for everyone Matthew 9-13-New International Version - UK But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy, not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners I knew a Catholic man, Charlie, this man was at Mass every day of his life; he seemed to be a very shy and vulnerable type of man; when asked to do something he would shy off from it, not because he didn t want to; he didn t want people looking at him thinking he was good, for he did not feel like an good ordinary man. I was asked to come to a local Catholic prayer meeting, Colin Glen fellowship, and pray with people after the meeting, for those who wanted healing. The first person I prayed with was a woman Mary Ann who told me her life story. She revealed she was an alcoholic, and she spent her time in Gransha hospital, a hospital for mentally ill patients, and also for recovering alcoholics. She told me that at home she was drinking so much that she would pass out, but sometimes she saw her husband going into one of the girls bedrooms and instead of asking him what was he doing there, she decided to turn a blind eye from what was going on because it was giving her peace from having to give him sex.

This went on for years and as each girl got to a certain age this man raped and abused them, and as I said this went on for years as he picked which one he wanted that night. As I prayed with Mary Ann, I kept asking the lord what way I should pray. The first thing the lord said to me to tell her to forgive her husband, and to forgive herself also, from her heart and leave all that behind. As I prayed with her I found out more details of her life and thankfully the lord kept me right in what way I should pray. She also told me about her husband, and said she saw a change in her husband as they grew older together; she saw that he was disturbed by what he had done but never disclosed it to her, even though she knew some of what he had been doing. He was now living a life of regret, and started going to Mass every day and night also, she knew he was trying to get rid of his sins but couldn t. Mary Ann told me that she had now forgiven her husband and felt a new love for the man. Praise God she had forgiven herself and knew that God had totally forgiven her; she felt such a weight lifting off of her and felt clean for the first time in many years. A few weeks later I was again asked to come to this prayer meeting, this meeting really knew God and followed his directions all the years they had been in existence. They again asked me to come and lead the worship and afterwards pray with those who needed healing. I noticed Mary Ann among the crowd, and two lovely looking girls sitting one on each side of her and they looked like their mother. During the healing service Mary Ann came over to me and asked could I pray with her two daughters, and of course I said yes, send one over. This beautiful girl sat down and as soon as I laid hands on her she felt the presence of the living God on her, and started to weep, then she told me why she needed healing, and told me about her father coming into her room and waking her up from her sleep, and forcing her to have sex with him and she felt like dirt; something just to be used, and had no relations ship with boys because she thought that would be all they were after, and she hated it, so she stayed away from young men. As I said before, I followed the Holy Spirits leading, and as he led me into healing this young woman s life, and afterwards she told me she felt like she had been cleansed from the inside out. I won t go into all the details of what she had revealed and it was awful to have to sit and listen to her never mind being her, and she revealed the shame of her father forcing her to have sex with him at least once a week, and it destroyed her feeling of a

proper father daughter relationship, she dreaded hearing his voice and dreaded hearing him going out to the toilet, for this was one of those times when she could be possibly raped. She grew up having no respect for him, naturally enough, and sometimes showed her hatred of him in front of the other family members who thought that she was a bad daughter and sister, a sister in rebellion as kids of that generation sometimes did; but she kept her mouth shut about his raping her; so no one knew anything about what her father was doing. And also she felt a terrible shame for there were times when she loved the sex, which was something that was natural for any woman, or a man even, who is constantly raped; it is feelings in her body that were in control those nights, so believing herself to be guilty and it was all her fault, because of these things happening, even when she tried to stop them, so the guilt piled up till she was ready to explode, and was on the verge of a breakdown. The lord was so gentle with his healing that she came out of the prayer with a heavenly glow that people could see; for she forgave her father and herself for thinking she was to blame for any of it; such a relief when the Lord touched her in a holy beautiful way, she received salvation, and also the Holy Spirit and the gift of tongues, a gift that held an awesome power, so she left lighter as her weight of guilt was gone, glowing like a internal light was inside of her. Then her other sister came over to me and as she shared the same things that her other sister had shared previously, and her sharing was almost identical to her sisters story. The only difference between them was she went out with men and just had sex with them, no matter who they were or what they were like; she felt this is what a relationship was supposed to be like. Going through with her everything the Holy Spirit led me in, she received what her sister and mother got, she forgave her father for what he had done and for destroying her relationships with men, and she thanked God that she never got pregnant out of those relationships! As she left her face also took on a holy glow as she thanked me, and I felt led not to tell her about her other sister for she thought it was only her, and she was glad that the other sisters were safe because he come to her to have his sex with. A few months later I was again at Colin Glen fellowship and seen Mary Ann glowing like a light bulb, she was so happy and then I seen the two girls hands up in the air lifting up the lord during the worship; {God but I loved

good worship.} Afterwards as I sat praying with people, I saw Mary Ann making her way towards me, and then when I finished praying with a man who suffered years from a painful bad back, and as he left delighted that God healed him. Mary Ann took her seat beside me and thanked me for her two daughters; then asked could I pray with her other daughters, she had three more with her, and of course I agreed. Coming over and sitting down this shy, and downtrodden young girl sat with her head bowed down, and began her story, the exact same story as the other two, in every detail. So once again the lord through the Holy Spirit healed her from all that troubled her; she felt like she was an awful sinner that could never be forgiven, for she too revealed she sometimes enjoyed having sex with her father because of the pleasure her body gave her as she gave into those feelings and emotions because they felt so nice. I explained that those feelings were natural, for the body will react to the stimulant of sex, no matter what she tried to do to stop them. Once again she, like her sisters felt so much guilt, and I explained to her this was not real guilt but unreal guilt, the guilt was transferred from her father to her, and as soon as I explained this to her she realised this guilt was not hers; for Jesus took the guilt of every sinful act her father committed upon her, and that she herself had done no real wrong. She forgave her father and her mother, as she sometimes seen her mother looking as he crept into her room, and her mother some nights didn t drink as much as her husband poured into her, and her mother threw out the drink when he wasn t looking or sleeping, so she knew her mother was aware of what was going on and she couldn t understand why her mother never stopped him, and she ultimately believed this must be ok, and so gave in easily. Afterwards as she got up to go I again seen her face lifted up in joy as she too experienced the Holy Spirit and Jesus and the Fathers love for her. She left radiant. Romans 3-21-Living Bible (TLB) But now God has shown us a different way to heaven not by being good enough and trying to keep his laws, but by a new way (though not new, really, for the Scriptures told about it long ago). Now God says he will accept and acquit us declare us not guilty if we trust Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved in this same

way, by coming to Christ, no matter who we are or what we have been like. In this way he was being entirely fair, Then the other sisters came and got prayed with and as the lord cleansed them, and gave them the joy of the Holy Spirit, giving his gift of tongues and all the supernatural gifts as in 1-Corinthians-12. Then one night this woman s husband followed her into the worship meeting and I was there praying with people again, and I spotted May Ann sort of pushing her husband towards me, and I seen that he was hesitating, but eventually came forward for prayer. He told me everything he had done, and cried out from the bottom of his heart for God to have mercy on him, and I told him that Jesus not only died for his sins but loved him as if he had never sinned in his life, and that God seen him as Holy in his sight. {Ephesians 1-4-6} He found that very hard to believe but chose to believe it when I showed him the scripture. Over the course of a year this man went around each of his girls and begged for forgiveness from them, and each forgave their father; the change in this family was incredible, for the Spirit of God kept them safe from bitterness and Unforgiveness. A year or so later I heard that this man was asked to be a leader of the meeting, and the leaders knowing this man s past forgave him and trusted him and accepted him as a leader, as the Holy Spirit told them to make him a leader, and he turned out to become a fantastic leader till the day he died. On his death his children shared with people their fathers conversion, of his love for them and of his love for Jesus; they gave him a beautiful wake and funeral, a beautiful send off, as a holy man of God, for God changes us from sinners into saints. I m sure there are other families that have been raped and abused who never told what happened to them and are living a life of hatred fear and Unforgiveness, but I don t know them, and so I give the details as best as I can of these cases in this book.

Are we supposed to forgive the paedophile, that man or woman who preyed on little children and raped and abused them sometimes very violently? And the answer to that question is yes, we are supposed to forgive as Jesus forgave us. Can a paedophile be forgiven? Is there mercy for them? Yes they can Romans 6 tells us Romans 6Living Bible (TLB) 7 for when you are deadened to sin you are freed from all its allure and its power over you. 8 And since your old sin-loving nature died with Christ, we know that you will share his new life. 9 Christ rose from the dead and will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. 10 He died once for all to end sin s power, but now he lives forever in unbroken fellowship with God. Five Rose and I had a worship meeting in our home and one night a heavy built woman asked for prayer and as she sat down she began describing the most horrific story to us; she told us that as a child her father began raping and abusing her, and that he kept raping her up right into her adult years. She was terrified of him as he was a very violent man, and had her and her family and mother suppressed in every way. Then she met this lovely gentle man and they fell in love and all the while her father continued to rape her any time the mother was out. Then her fiancé asked her to marry him and she told him yes, but all the time was dreading how to tell her fiancé what had been happening to her all her life. She lived a double life, a life of terror in fear of her father and a life of love for this most Godly gentle humble man. On her wedding day, that morning as she was getting ready to get up and get dressed, her father entered her room and again held her down and raped her; she never disclosed to anyone till now when she was sitting with Rose and me, what had been happening to her all of her life. And now she had children and she often wondered was their first child her father s or her husband s. What a terrible situation to be in, for her father persecuted her by coming to her new home when her husband was at work and he continued raping her. You may ask why she didn t go to the police, or why

didn t she tell her mother; but like many a rapist they also kept the mother living in terror of the beatings they would give her, and her daughter, or family, these predators usually were experts of beating and suppressing those whom they were supposed to love. They kept those around them in their family in feelings of helplessness, and these people were programmed to take the beatings, or the subjections to being totally worthless than anything, as a human being; they lived not only in fear of their beatings but even more was the hopelessness to mental torture they were subjected to. This woman s father died and still she lived in fear of him and had a tremendous amount of difficulty sleeping a sound sleep. Then she heard of Rose and I praying with her friends and they told her of the tremendous love they found in God through our ministry, or to us it was his ministry we were just the tools he used, so picking up the courage she came and sat down with us and began to tell her story. Our hearts were breaking as we listened as she gave detail after detail of what this man had done to her, too much detail to put into this book. Then Rose and I began to pray and ask the Lord what we should do; and the first thing he said was tell her to forgive that man, something she could never do in her own natural strength, especially as her first born son was either her father s or her husband s. She chose to forgive her father; and her mother, for not having the strength to get him away from her daughter. Then the lord gave all three of us the same vision. As we prayed; I seen two angels drag a massive fat man to the edge of a chasm, they held on to him tightly as he struggled to get free, and a voice spoke aloud and said, repent, and the man struggling to get away refused, and cursed and swore, never looking at his daughter on the other side of the chasm. Rose and the woman had the exact same vision, I was having, and after hearing his daughter saying to him, I forgive you, he screamed an unearthly scream, cursing her, then the angels took him back to wherever he was being held; probably Hades, waiting until the Judgement Day. All of us had this same open eyed vision and his daughter told us then that her father was an enormously fat man, and almost smothered her when he forced her to have sex. This woman suffered from sicknesses all her life one of them being asthma a difficulty breathing disease, and seeing the size and weight of this evil man I was led to believe that this was the root of her breathing disease and her lifelong back pain. Just imagine a man weighing about thirty stone

laying on top of a child, and then as a teenager, and then as a woman as she grew up. No wonder she suffered from breathing difficulties. The fact that she forgave this evil man is significant in her release of her breathing problems, and she was instantly freed from asthma and back pain. Later on we discovered that her first born son was indeed her own husbands and so a great sigh of relief went up when they found out. The man she had married was indeed a godly man and told his wife he had no problems with her at all, and what had happened was now in the past, and it was never her fault. Many years later Rose and I met them in a hotel where her husband was the main chef, she told us from that first night after forgiving her father, she has never had a night terror, and she never had breathing problems or back pain again. She told us that they were in heavenly bliss as they prayed together each night. And we seen a massive amount of weight loss on her; she had been very fat when she first came to us, and told us the weight just fell off of her after we prayed with her, no diets she laughed. Both of them had God in their lives and this was the answer to everything that had happened to her. What an awesome testimony if she would ever give it, it would help so many other women and men also. Can God change those things that happened to us? Yes he can and he does. Romans 8:28-Living Bible (TLB) 28 And we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans. When we surrender over to God all those bad things that happen to us he can, and does change them later on and uses them for our good. Our idea of God does not encompass what he really is, God is love; his very substance is love, and his mercy endures forever. To him if someone stole a pound and another stole a million pound, there is no difference in the size of the sin in monetary value; a sin is just a sin, it is an offence committed against God, and sin separates us from God not the size of the sin but sin itself. We were taught as Catholics there were venial sins {small} and carnal sins {big} but this was rubbish, there is only sin which separates you from God not its size, this is man s idea and it is foolish. Is there mercy for the paedophile? Yes there is! 1-John 4:16-Living Bible-

We know how much God loves us because we have felt his love and because we believe him when he tells us that he loves us dearly. God is love, and anyone who lives in love is living with God and God is living in him. Six Rose and I got a phone call one night from a woman asking if we would pray with her, and of course we said yes and arranged a time to come and see us. On the pre- arranged night there was a knock on our front door and when I went to answer it, there stood three women, and as I invited them in they said they were just here to be company for her. So I invited them into our kitchen and asked them to sit there and make themselves some tea, then I invited the woman Michelle who phoned, into our living room, and she met Rose and we talked a while just shop talk as the saying goes. Then we began praying with her, and she broke down and cried saying she had been raped by the parish priest, a man now in his later years. She went on to explain that her mum and dad were alcoholics, and this priest usually came with drink with him and plied them with alcohol, so they were drunk, and they would tell him, to go and lay in Michele s bed, tell her to move over, and so they would usually fall asleep on the chairs in their living room while he crept into Michelle s bed and of course raped her often. This has been happening to her for many years and now this priest was getting older, and she asked that we would pray for God to take away the memories and the awful shame and guilt she felt all her young life. So praying with her we asked God to heal those memories and to take away those wrongful feelings of shame and guilt, and praise God he did, and she felt clean for the first time in her life. She told us that she now had young children of her own, and this man was still coming round to her home and because he was the local priest no one could say or even believe a bad word about him, she guarded her children from him and believed he never got a chance to abuse them but knew in her heart that he was targeting them, and asked what could she do, as no one knew or would believe her if she made an allegation against this well loved priest. We prayed as best as we could with her, and she left the living room feeling much happier. Then said

one of the other ladies asked her if she would ask us could she get a prayer for healing, and of course we said yes. Then one of the other women came in and said she was Michelle s sister. Praying with her we discovered that this vile priest done what he always did bring drink to her alcoholic parents and get them drunk, and they of course said to him it s too late at night now to go walking home and invited him to jump into bed with one of the children, as the kids loved him and wouldn t mind, him in the bed with them. He of course raped Jean, when he got into her bed and this continued on for years as this vile disgusting man preyed on this poor family. Praying for healing the lord healed this sister just as he healed the other sister. And as Jean was getting up she asked if we would pray with her cousin in the kitchen and we of course said we would love to, and after making an assurance that her details were kept secret, smiling she left the room and in entered the last woman. Sitting down she informed us that she was a cousin to the two girls and that her name was Mandy. So she began to open up and shared with that she had been raped and abused by the local parish priest, and that no one knew, and that she didn t want anyone to know either, and of course we told her we treat everyone stories as if they were in a confessional, it is between us and them, and God, and no one else. Amazed we sat there and listened to this woman s story, and it was identical to her two cousins stories; this priest preyed on her parents who were also had serious drink problems, and this man always sat there plying them with drink and stayed so late that they would innocently invite him to stay the night, and one of the kids could move over and share their bed with him, that is as if he didn t mind, and of course this was his plan all along. We finished praying with her, and as she was leaving there was a completely new woman standing in front of us as God worked his healing touch; she asked that we say nothing to the other two women and we promised we wouldn t say a word. Then a week later after a phone call, a man came to our home and he introduced himself to us as Walter and being the husband of Michelle, and he handed me a box of chocolates and Rose a large bunch of flowers, thanking us for helping his wife, saying there was such a change in her that he couldn t help but notice she was singing all the time as she went around the house.

Then he asked if we would say a prayer with him, and his friend that was with him, and so of course we agreed, and his friend went to the kitchen so as to give us privacy. Sitting down he began telling us about being a very shy and introverted person, and then as we prayed with him the truth came out. This man had been abused by the same priest that had abused his wife, but he didn t know, that only us. His wife had never told him of her rape and abuse by this priest, and he told his own story not knowing the evil that this priest had done to him and others in the community, and it seemed that he targeted families with young kids and parents with alcohol problems. Going on he went on to say, he thinks that this priest was now starting to try and get close to their own kids and he wanted to know what could he do to keep this vile man away. We told him to go to the police and report him, but because it was the priest no one would believe this holy man of God could do such things, and so he determined that he would stop this man from entering his home; he would confront him sometime. Then his friend Granville, not related, came in for prayer, and to our shock after a little time of just shop talk, he told of his abuse at the hands of the parish priest, and he informed us that his mother was a widow and the priest came around about once a month to bring her communion and comfort her with some alcohol he always just seemed to have on him, and lo and behold the mother would invite him to stay the night as it was always late when she was getting drunk and silly, so she told him to share the bed with Granville here her only son. Never thinking this priest was a paedophile, which was after her young son. As the lord healed him of the things he came for prayer for, both he and his friend left. A few days later we had a phone call from Walter saying he told his wife about his abuse, and she shocked him by disclosing that she also had been abused by this same vile man, then they phoned their friends who had come for prayer and told them what had happened to them and asked did this priest ever do anything to them, and all of them in shock confessed and so they gathered together to discuss what had happened to them all, and they were thanking us for what we had done praying with them, and asked was there something they could do to stop this man.

We suggested going to the police but they felt so ashamed they agreed not to. A week later Walter phoned to say that a local priest, a young man, told his congregation that he had been abused by a priest, not the same priest, but a priest from the parish he grew up in, and asked if anyone who had been abused were welcome to a healing mass, and a meeting to talk about their abuse with him, and Walter informed us that they were now going to go to him, and we wished them well and said goodbye. We never heard from any of them again and pray to God they received justice in some way and got this vile evil priest removed from their parish, and hopefully locked up somewhere; though knowing the Catholic Church they would just send him to some other parish, where he would abuse more children. Years later this vile priest was taken to court by a family whose daughter he had raped, and the police found out during the investigation that he had raped and abused many, many other men and women. And over the time of this perverts trial he was released on bail, and one time a reporter stopped him to challenge him and he turned and snarled at him and as he looked into the camera you could see the face of evil, his features were distorted and horrible looking, his eyes were like looking into the devils own eyes. He was jailed for life, and died in jail unrepentant. Can this vile pervert be forgiven? Is there mercy for him? Yes even someone as vile as he would be forgiven. Romans 5-8-Living Bible (TLB) 8 But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. 9 And since by his blood he did all this for us as sinners, how much more will he do for us now that he has declared us not guilty? Now he will save us from God s entire wrath to come. 10 And since, when we were his enemies, we were brought back to God by the death of his Son, what blessings he must have for us now that we are his friends and he is living within us! 11 Now we rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done in dying for our sins making us friends of God. I was at work one day when I received a phone call from one of the woman who had been raped and abused by that priest, it was about a year after Rose and I prayed with them. She told me of her brother who was a priest serving in Africa, and when heard their stories he asked he get prayed with by me, and he now decided to come home. I told her no problems but that I
