God must be a liar because Christians believe the devil over God s word! Brendan mc Crossan One God must be a liar God must be a liar; he has to be, because few Christians sincerely believe him. When he says something to us in his word, we are inclined to believe the very opposite. If he dared to call us holy we contradict him and say were unworthy, if he says you are precious to me, we contradict him and say, I am a sinner; if he tells us that we are forever perfect in his sight, we say, I am the worst person on this planet. If he says I love you and died for you, we say, he did it for everyone else but not for me I am too much of a worthless person. These things and much worse I hear when I am praying with people, they don t realise they are calling God a liar to his face. Satan on the other hand call people worthless and they agree with him. He calls them sin filled, and they agree. He calls them proud when they say God loves them, and they go into humble mode and say he s right. He calls them disgusting because they sinned and they agree with him and draw away from God. He calls them garbage and they agree with him and say they are the worst human beings alive on this earth, they re dirty, filthy and Yuk. Let s get something into perspective friends; God is not a liar, the devil, Satan is a liar. Look at the following scripture and see what it says about God s own spoken and written words. Psalm the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times. {NIV Bible} The words of the lord are flawless, what does flawless mean? Flawless means perfect, faultless, sound, unblemished, and watertight. God s words are purified like silver is purified in a crucible; a crucible is a melting pot that is heated at extremely high temperatures to burn out the dross, the rubbish faulty bits. And gold is refined in the same way using even more heat to bring perfection to the gold. So before God even speaks, his words are burned at extremely high temperatures so they come out flawless, without anything false in them, they come out perfect without blemish, so only the words God wants you to hear are heard, there is no missing understanding of what he is saying. He is a God of fire; his words burn like fire within, as the Psalmist once said. There is truth in every word he speaks, or has been written down by man, his written word, the Bible. Two Are we sure that it is God that is a liar? Now let s get a look at what scripture says about the devil, Satan. These are the words of Jesus speaking to the church leaders of that time.

John-8:44-King-James-Version ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. Jesus himself accused these church leaders of being children of the devil, Satan; and Jesus said he was a murderer from the beginning of time when the earth began, and that there was not a word of truth in him. He can only tell lies and if does tell the truth, it is a distorted truth, and uses it against us, and it becomes a lie. It is impossible for him to tell the truth, lying is in his nature. He is a liar and the father of liars; he is the father of the liars of this world. God says to his church, you are the light of this world a city on a hill, and we don t believe him. Come on now, how often have you declared that you are a light to the world? When did you say to another Christian that they were the light of the world? Probably never, or maybe you did, I don t know, I just go by the Christians around me those I know and have ministered to over the last thirty five years, as the examples. Three Christians also call God a liar 1-John-5:10 whoever believes in the Son of God accepts this testimony. Whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because they have not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. {The Way Bible} It isn t only Satan the devil that is a liar or makes God out to be a liar; Christians also call him a liar. When we refuse to believe what God says, we in effect call God a liar. You can see in the previous scripture that God himself in his word says whoever does not believe God has made him out to be a liar. Satan believes God more than all the Christians combined; he was with him from eternity and knows what God says is true, but Satan believed also that he was greater than God and so got dumped out of heaven and cast down to earth. God gave us his written word to encourage us to believe in him and he done awesome miracle after miracle, from parting the red sea to the miracles of raising the dead through Jesus and healing the sick and giving sight to the blind. We know what God done through Jesus; in the Holy Spirits power and we can read his works in the gospels and see for ourselves the things Jesus done and the love he showed, and heard his words that, he is doing the works of the Father, and showing us how much he and the Father loves us; and he went even further still by suffering and dying for us and in dying defeated the devil who ruled this earth. Then he told us in his written word there are great secretes waiting to be revealed in his word, and he revealed those secretes to us through those who went looking for them. Like a man searching for great treasures and finding them shared with others his good fortune. There are many Christian brothers and sisters who have gone before us or are

still alive teaching the treasures they discovered in God s word and sharing those secretes with the children of God everywhere, and they experience the glory of God when sharing with the body of Christ. But sad to say many don t even believe them either. To give you an example of people refusing to believe; I was asked to come and minister in Donegal at a house meeting, there were about forty people there, and I shared with them the Good News of salvation and healing, and as I preached for almost three hours the lord was with me and healed people as I shared his word with them. Four people were healed as I talked about Jesus and all the people there seen this with their own eyes. And under the direction of the Holy Spirit, I told two men who were in bad pain caused by arthritis get up and walk and to their amazement they had no pain and could do things they couldn t do before. God healed them because I shared his word. Two ladies sitting together were healed of breathing difficulties and both had swelling caused by fluid in their hands and stomach and legs, and both women had arthritis also; both women were healed instantly as God told me he healed them as I spoke of his love for them; and all of the people there seen this for themselves. The fluid in each of their hands knees and legs and stomach disappeared in front of their very eyes. And those looking on saw what God had just done. But then I began to share that they were holy and spotless before God, and they were not unworthy as they were believing, and I shared sacred scripture with them, showing them in God s word these truths and asking them to read their bibles and see for themselves. One man read his bible out at one of the scriptures I shared, to the others, said, I don t believe that I am worthy, because I am unworthy to be worthy. He said this even after reading God s word for himself and shared this scripture aloud to the others gathered there. The next thing I got attacked by some people saying, I am teaching something that the priests don t teach. And some people got very uptight and began shouting at me, the priests don t teach this, and began to discuss this loudly and angrily between each other. I just stood there listening to them in amazement. Then one woman said to me. I had to leave the house because of what you said, and I talked to God in the garden about what you said and he told me that you were teaching people wrong, we are unworthy and never will be worthy. Some others got up and left calling things not very nice at me, then I felt the lord say to me, did they not see for themselves the miracles I did tonight, did I not say in my word that these are the signs of those who follow me, that I will be there healing as they preach the Good News. I asked for silence for a moment and shared what God said to me and then I turned my back on those arguing and turned to the people in the other part of the room that remained silent as this argument went on and asked them if they wished to say anything and they all said, no, that what was happening was a disgrace. I spoke to them for a little while and then began to minister to them by laying on hands and the lord healed most of them that were unwell. Then the rest of those in the other part of the room became silent as they could feel God s presence again, and the lord healed most of the people that remained. And the amazing thing was that those who shouted at me the

loudest were the last two people to leave the meeting, and they asked would I pray for them for healing. That is just one example that I have found when trying to share with Christians that they are worthy because Jesus made them that way when they asked Jesus into their lives. With Catholics I get an awful lot of anger directed at me because I say we are not unworthy, because as a Catholic we know that we say before communion, lord I am not worthy to receive you but only say the word and I shall be healed. Catholics in those words contradict God in what he says about them, their religion is more precious to them that their relationship with God. They refuse to believe God and refuse to believe his word because the priests don t tell them this, and shame on the priests who don t explain the word of God to their flock. Ignorance is not blessed contrary to the old saying; ignorance deceives you from knowing the truth. It is more important for Catholics to follow the priest than to follow God. Yet the pope and cardinals in Vatican two told everyone who read it, that scripture is the very word of God and must be revered and believed. With Protestants I get attacked because I tell them, they are not sinners washed in the blood. That to proclaim that they are sinners means they are not saved, and that washed in the blood means they are saved and they say first of all they are which is present tense, now this moment sinners. But then continue on by saying they are washed in the blood claiming they are saved. But scripture says that Jesus died for us while we were still sinners but how much more will he do for us now that we are redeemed. They contradict what they say and don t realise what they are saying, they in effect call God a liar, and when I try to get them to see what they say they get angry, and they are the ones who have been reading God s word for most of their young lives and adult lives if they still go to church and should know better. The Protestants contradict God s word just as much as the Catholics. Four Calling God a liar to his face I am going to share with you some things that God says we are, and show you what Christians say they are and in doing so they in effect call God a liar. Romans-3:4 not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. It is written So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge. {The Way Bible {1} God s word said; that Jesus took your sins on the cross on Calvary The devil says; you are guilty of sinning against God The Christian agrees and says; I am guilty of sin against God, to feel guilt means you don t believe that your forgiven after you confessed your sin to God. {2} God says you have already passed out of death into life.

The devils says; you re not dead yet silly, Christians say when I die I hope to go to heaven if I am good enough. {3}God says you are seated with Jesus in the heavenly realms. The devil says; you are not good enough to get into heaven. Christians says; I don t believe this. Some say, I have to go to purgatory first. {4}God says Jesus took your sickness and bore all your diseases, and by his stripes you are healed The devil says; that pain you feel is cancer or arthritis or leukaemia Christians say; I must have cancer because of the pain I feel {5}God says that you are standing in the place of highest privilege, The devil says; you are not fit to stand anywhere, remember that sin you committed Christian say; I am standing at the back of the queue, I am being humble. {6}God says you are forever perfect in my sight The devil says; remember all those bad things you done growing up Christians say; I am imperfect and will be perfected in death. {7}God says you are holy in his sight The devil says; only God is holy Christians say; I remember all my sins, only God is holy. {8}God says you are without blemish The devil says, look at what you done yesterday or this morning Christians say; I am imperfect and worthless. I know how bad I am. {9}God says you can walk right into the very holy of holies where God himself dwells, The devil says; only Jesus can enter into his dwelling place. Christians say; I wouldn t dare walk into God holy presence look at me I am worthless sin filled. These are just some of the things we believe about ourselves and we believe the devils lies and we call God a liar by saying we aren t good enough to deserve any of these things. Christians don t understand the extent of God s divine love, they see God aloof from

them, away too high above them, looking down on them with a sort of contempt because of their sins and failings, a God of strict judgment just waiting on us to make a mistake then he will pounce on us and punish us with terrible punishments like sickness and diseases. These things are lies about God that the devil planted into our brains when we were growing up and susceptible to impressions and fearful. Most of us fear God and not in the right way, to fear God in his word is to give him reverence, to fear him in the natural is to be terrified of him; afraid of punishment. Five If God says I am something, then I am what he says I am. What does all this matter anyway for God s sake, you may be saying, it is not for God s sake that these things matter, it is for your sake they matter. I listen and hear what people are saying about mighty revelations of God. Apathy reigns in the Christian child of God, disinterest reigns along with it. Boredom lies a close second behind apathy, who cares lays next, it doesn t affect me is followed by those things are for those who are religious, I M not. I don t go that far, it s too deep for me; and they don t realise they are drowning in unbelief. Unbelief is sin according to God. Unbelief is hardness of heart against God and that means that you harden your heart against him and his word, and when you harden your heart against God that leaves you in a very sticky wicket, {a bad place to be.} Mark-16:14-King-James-Version Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was raised. Even the apostles who spent all that time with Jesus, when push came to shove they didn t believe him. If you think that unbelief is not a problem regarding the word of God you need to think again, when you harden your heart against God s word, you harden your heart against him, and that my dear friend is a very dodgy place to be in. He appeared to his eleven apostles and gave them a rollicking. {A severe reprimand} for not believing he arose from the dead when they were told. Calling God a liar because you refuse to believe his word is the same as calling him a liar to his face, and Christians, - you do that by unbelief. If God says you are righteous, they agree with him even if you don t feel righteous. If he says you are precious to me, say, thank you lord for making me precious, you may think, I don t know why you say this lord but if you say so then it must be right, and who am I to disagree with you and agree with the devil, you know best. If you read in God s word; before the world began God chose you to be his; agree and bless him for choosing you. You didn t make yourself worth choosing you may think, but don t let those words come out of your mouth; contradict them in your mind, the spiritual battlefield. Say I was chosen by God, wow! You don t need to know why God

specially picked you out of billions, as long as he picked you; you don t have to understand God s logic, because you can t and won t understand the mind of God, because God sees what we don t; he sees the beginning and the end and he also sees the middle, he sees everything we do or say even before we say or do something. He sees our hearts and knows our very thoughts, he sees the possibilities in us the possibility for greatness through his power helping us. We don t have to see to believe we see with eyes of faith-by believing God. Hebrews-11-3-by faith by believing God- we know that the world and stars in fact everything were made at God command; and were all made from things we can t see. There is the secrete staring us right in the face; made from things we can t see. We can t see the miracle we needed until it materialises, but we can chose to believe, because God is a good God and desires to help us. Six Who is right, you or God or the devil? God is right, as far as I am concerned, so if he says you are forever perfect in my sight {Hebrews 10-14} he is right; I am forever perfect in his sight. My wife and kids and friends might not think I am forever perfect but I won t agree with them, I agree with God, because he is the one I offend by disbelief, and if he says I am forever perfect then I must be forever perfect, if God is for you who can be against? Matthew-17:20-King-James-Version and Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matthew-13:58-Amplified-Bible and He did not do many works of power there, because of their unbelief (their lack of faith in the divine mission of Jesus). Jesus couldn t do many miracles because of their unbelief, how many miracles could he do through you or in the Christian church today if you believed? It didn t say he didn t do any miracles he could hardly do any because of unbelief. Unbelief robs you of miracle working power, not believing what God says robs you of his power. The people in these places had no belief in Jesus or his words to them, they believed the devils lies saying, he was just Joseph s son a carpenter, and didn t believe in him; even his very own brothers didn t believe in him, in fact they mocked him about his ministry. Do the Christians of this day and age those whom Jesus calls his sisters and his brothers still live in unbelief.

If you are baptised in the Holy Spirit then you can lay hands on the sick and heal them. If you don t believe this then you are calling God a liar, believing the devil over Jesus. If you are afraid of demons and are afraid to cast them out of people then you don t believe God. In fact you believe the lies that Satan tells you that demons are huge and that is a lie, I have seen demons and I have seen angels and of the two angels are the greater in size; a demon is a small defeated insignificant enemy who lost the war but tries to get you to believe it is a massive being, a lie told by the devil and yet sad to say Christians are afraid of demons or even Satan himself. A lie told by the devil to Christians is that he is everywhere, and that he can come into your room anytime he wants to and torment you, and Christians believe this lie. Satan the devil has no power over you the Christian because Christ Jesus is in you and so is the Father and so is the Holy Spirit and he is already defeated, and not only that Satan the devil is just an angel, and a fallen one at that and angels cannot be in two places at once. Satan is not God, he is not omnipotent all powerful, but he tells Christians he is and they believe he is as large as God and omnipotent also, and that is laughable if it wasn t so serious. He is a defeated foe that has fooled Christians for centuries through books and magazines showing demons as something that can t be defeated and always return, even if beaten. And this is rubbish that is fed into our minds by movies and books and articles in papers, but Christians believe this and are scared and afraid to be alone in dark places. Christ says you are a light in the world. Someone got it wrong, you can t be afraid of the dark and demons and have a light in you that you can switch on at will when danger comes, that s why Jesus said, you are the light of the world, a city on a hill, a well lit city. But Christians watch horror movies and read occulted books and magazines, and this implants a fear and dread and belief in them. Jesus on the other hand says I gave you authority over all these things, and the Christian does not act out of fear; they believe the devil. Eight Saved or not? John and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand. These are the words of Jesus himself saying these things, yet I hear Christians say they are being saved, not yet saved, they just called Jesus a liar to his face, for he said, I give them, in other words they have it, if I give you something, say a watch, and placed it into your hand, who has it? You do, I don t have it anymore. Give means to present, bestow something on someone.

Jesus said they shall never perish, they means you, he told you the truth and yet Christians believe they might never get to heaven unless they live the life of a Trappist monk, they believe the devils lies that they will or might perish because they keep on committing the same sin over and over again. Jesus said; no one shall snatch them out of my hands. Yet Christians believe the devil can snatch them away from God because of the same thing again-sin. Who is greater Jesus or Satan? {Remember Jesus defeated Satan to give you a clue.} so Jesus is greater, they why do Christians believe that the devil can snatch their souls at the moment of death or before, I know many fear this happening and are killing themselves trying to live religious lives doing rosary after rosary and novena after novenas and if they miss even one they have to start again. I have ministered to poor souls living in torment because they forgot to do a decade of the rosary for someone, they lived in terror that they would go to hell for forgetting to do a certain novena all the way through and this is just a religious spirit trapping people in fear, and they believe the devils lies about prayer. Prayer is talking to God, not saying repetitive prayers, over and over again and again. You can pray novena and rosaries over and over again meditating on them, but if you feel that because you missed a decade you are condemned then that is religiosity and a deadly trap of Satan s. I seen poor souls living in torment because they forgot a decade or a novena, and they believed they had to start all over again or it didn t work and this is a lie that they believe. Talking to God in your own manner that you talk to a friend is what God desires. How would you feel if a friend came and said to you, TV was great tonight, and then said, TV was great tonight, and repeated that for an hour, how would you feel? You would switch him off in your mind. Well I am not saying God switches us off even when all we offer him is repetitive prayer. He would rather hear you say, God I hate your guts because my child was killed today, or is very ill and you don t give a shit about them. I hate you, and squeal and shout abuse at him at least that comes from the heart and from deep down inside the soul. God wants your heart prayer and that is your rosary or novenas if they come from your heart, or what you feel in your heart to say to him. God s word says there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus, Romans Yet many Christians believe they are under condemnation. They believe the devils lies and call God inadvertently a liar. When I say Christians I am of course not talking about those who don t know Jesus, they are already under Satan s power; I am talking about those who belong to Jesus who gave their lives to him. Christian, you have a choice to make regarding God s word, to either believe it as the word of the living God or to reject is as a lie. Because when you don t believe God s word, you don t believe him and then the opposite happens you believe the devils lies. Everyone believes something, be it truth or a lie. If you don t believe God then you believe Satan the devil. That is as black and white as I can put it, and I pray that no matter how difficult it is to believe, you

chose to believe God above the devil. Believing God is fundamental to your faith, believing him is faith in action regardless of your feeling. Christians make the mistake of feeling things instead of believing things, example, I feel like I am taking sick,{satan s lies} and the word of God says Jesus took your sickness on his cross on Calvary who is right Satan or God? What you confess out of your mouth is what you shall get. I hear Christians saying, I think that I am taking the flu, and you know the names they give the flu is strange if you think about it for a moment or two, Asian flu, Spanish flu, bird flu, never God s flu. The flu always seems to originate in the foreign countries where there are a lot of occult practices. The flu is not God s flu it is Satan s flu, he is the thief who comes to steal kill and destroy, said Jesus; I on the other hand came to bring life in all its abundance, who do you chose to believe. {10}God says, I know the plan I have for you, plans for good to give you a future and a hope. The devil says, you have no hope, no future, And Christians say, I have no hope no future, there is no work, no money to live on, life is awful because of this economic downfall. They agreed with Satan s lies. Did God not know that a group of men under the influence of Satan planned to bring about the downfall of the world s economy, to destroy the monitories system on this planet for their own deceitful greedy plans? Of course he did, and is preparing the Christian believers to take their stand in prosperity in this present time, but will the Christians believe him or will they believe the devils lies. When you believe the enemy you call God a liar and accept the devils lies and deceits, therefore there is no power in your life. Change your way of thinking, if the word of God says it, agree with the word no matter what you feel, and don t contradict his word. Amen
