5 The Parables of Lent Midweek Lenten Worship Good and Perfect Gifts A Lenten Sermon Series on Isaiah Each sermon in this series takes up a specific gift from a text in Isaiah 56 66, interprets it through the life and times of Isaiah, and then creatively applies it to Christians as they make their Lenten journey from the cross to the empty tomb. We will not only become more familiar with this oft-neglected section of Isaiah, but we will be inspired to joyfully receive God s good and perfect gifts flowing from our Savior s bitter suffering and death that are freely given because of his Easter victory. Ash Wednesday: A Loving Embrace (Isaiah 56:7 8) Lent 2: An Ever-Present Refuge (Isaiah 57:13) Lent 3: Unlimited Access (Isaiah 57:15) Lent 4: Enduring Light (Isaiah 60:1) Lent 5: Perfect Beauty (Isaiah 60:9) Lent 6: A Clean Heart (Isaiah 64:1 8) Lenten dinners will be served in the multipurpose room each week before our midweek Lenten services. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. Camp Luther Registration Opens Camp Luther summer youth camps provide a fun, faith-filled experience for children kindergarten all the way through high school. It s our goal at Camp Luther for campers to be encouraged and strengthened in their faith through Christian friendships, caring role models, and God s Word. Camp Luther has much to offer for children of all ages. Check out the fun and exciting weekend camps for Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Pathfinder (grades 3-6) and Trailblazer (Grades 5-8) are specially designed for each age group to give your child the best possible Camp Luther experience! Have a teenager? They can choose Lifeguard Camp, Guitar Camp, Photography Camp, X- tremeteen, IMPACT, our leadership development program or The Edge at Keweenaw Base Camp near Houghton, MI. Whatever camp you choose, you can count on the staff to provide the best possible summer camp experience for your child. Struggling with finances this year? Ask about our Campership program. Have a friend who is new to Camp Luther? Let them know about Every Kid to Camp! Registration forms can be picked up at church or you can find out more about all of Camp Luther s programs by checking them out on the internet at Wednesday February 17 Wednesday February 24 Wednesday March 2 Wednesday March 9 Wednesday March 16 Everyone is invited to enjoy a delicious meal before we worship together at 7:00 p.m. Sign up sheets are posted in the narthex. Please sign up on the sheets if you are able to help by bringing food or serving. Because of our kitchen construction, all hot food needs to be brought ready to serve and hot in a roaster or crock pot. If you have any questions, please contact Donna Brege in the church office ( ).
