Improving Access in 2014 FOR KIDS 1 in 5 children in our service area face food insecurity. NEW: Offered the Weekend Kids Meal Program to six area middle schools.

2 Improving Access in 2014 FOR KIDS 1 in 5 children in our service area face food insecurity. NEW: Offered the Weekend Kids Meal Program to six area middle schools. NEW: Added seven new BackPack programs in our 14-county service area. FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS Nationally 1 in 10 adults receiving food from a food pantry is a student at some post high-school institution. NEW: Partnered with UW-Eau Claire to open a campus food pantry. NEW: Worked to educate the community on the food insecurity challenges that many young adults face. FOR FAMILIES 59% of Wisconsin families receiving food from a food pantry report at least one employed person in the last year. NEW: Piloted a residence pantry for families in a low-income housing complex. NEW: Began a food box distribution program for homeless families. FOR SENIORS 11% of adults receiving food in our service area are 60 or older. NEW: Created a program to distribute emergency food boxes to homebound seniors. NEW: Started on-site pantries in three low-income senior housing complexes. Food Distribution Per Person I am so pleased to have helped bring individuals and organizations together in a number of communities and have seen their progress in identifying and addressing local challenges. I am confident this is the foundation that will lead to expanded access to food in Michelle Gribble, Director of Field Services... Feed My People strives to reach families and support food needs in every community in our 14-county service area. We measure our effectiveness by tracking how much food we distribute per person in poverty (PPIP) for each county (see graphic). Feed My People is proud that its median distribution of pounds per person in poverty (121 PPIP) exceeds the national median (85 PPIP). In 2014, we spent extra time working in counties that received less food than 125% of the national median.

3 Measuring Impact Results are evaluated in many ways, but ultimately the effect of our collective work is measured by the impact it has on the lives of the children, seniors, and families that we serve. Hope for those that struggle with hunger in their daily lives. Optimism, that by ending hunger, our community will be a better place to live for all of us. In 2014, Feed My People embraced the new tagline Ending hunger is possible. Possible but not easy and certainly not achievable without continued support from our hunger-relief partners, volunteers, staff and the generous community. Last year, this support enabled us to distribute a half million MORE pounds to families facing food insecurity. We reached more kids, seniors and working families through innovative programming and increased access to healthy food. This was not possible without YOU. In 2015, we will continue to expand our programs and increase access to nutritious food for those in need. A heartfelt thank you to our partners, donors, volunteers, and staff.
