1 PHONE: (972) Tyler Davis December 15, April 24, 2004 Tyler Davis, age 17, of McKinney, passed away on April 24, 2004, in McKinney. He was born on December 15, 1986, in Miami, Florida to Kurt and Laura Ellen (Maggard) Davis. He was a member of the McKinney Fellowship Bible Church and was active in the church youth ministry. He was a student of McKinney North High School. He was a member of the Plano Soccer Association, and top cadet in the Jr. Police Academy. He worked for the Albertson s Grocery Store on Virginia Parkway. He is survived by his parents, Kurt and Laura Davis of McKinney; brothers, Hunter and Adam Davis; grandparents, Jim and Peggy Davis of Bedford, Texas and Bob and Bobbye Maggard of Tampa, Florida; and great grandmother, Ellen Perrottet of North Richland Hills, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 PM, Wednesday at the McKinney Fellowship Bible Church with Pastor Bruce Miller and Pastor Paul Zepeda officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McKinney Education Foundation 1 Duvall McKinney, Texas or to the Monterey Mission McKinney Fellowship Bible Church; 2801 Orchid, McKinney, Texas Memorials Hey Davis Fam! You guys have been so welcoming to all of us youth at mckinney fellowship and i cant thank you enough for the pool parties that will always be remembered. Though Ty is now in heaven he will always be with us on earth in the hearts of all he touched. Your family is one I will always remember throughout the hard times, thanks for coming to Cindy's funeral.

There are no words to give you comfort, but I hope just knowing you are being lifted in prayer and loved will help. Just think of the wonderful gift Tyler has been and how blessed you were to be his parents. He certainly touched many lives and will continue to do so. I know some of the pain Tyler's young friends are about to endure. Please be sure, those of you who can, that you are in tune with those young people. Don't let them become lost from all this. I know from reading the messages here that Tyler was an outstanding Christian, as was my friend, Rachel. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. I wish I knew why these things happened... He and Chris were in Visual Media class together,where we had a chance to settle in and finish our school day. I want you to know Tyler behaved like we as parents always hope our sons and daughters behave when we are not around! He seemed to contain a quiet strength that we appreciated-especially some of the underclassmen who were often treated a little unkindly by the older bunch! He often spoke of his family, his church, and his beliefs. I recall his comments on Saddam Hussein and the inhumanity his reign had exhibited. His classmates and I will remember his ready smile,his twinkling eyes, and his gracious attitude toward others. Then we will sigh and remember our lives are all the richer for having been in his presence. He had such a welcoming smile, that you couldn't pass up. He was like the first person I met when I moved to McKinney. He was a very close and dear friend. He always offered advice. The thing I remember the most and something that I'll treasure for a lifetime was when his family invited my family for ThanksGiving dinner. Gosh I'll never forget how welcoming the "Davis" family were and still are. To the "Davis Family"... Tyler is in a MUCH better place, and he's watching over us w/our Heavenly Father.
