Lewis, Jr. August 7, October 21, 2006 Carlyle Anthony Lewis, Jr., known as "J.R." by close friends and relatives of Allen, Texas, was born August 7, 1980 in Brooklyn, NY, and passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, TX. Carlyle was a graduate of Plano Senior High School in Plano, TX, and attended Collin County Community College where he received an Associates Degree. He continued his education at the University of North Texas where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Marketing in Carlyle was an employee of Countrywide Home Loans as a Loan Funder at the time of his death. Carlyle leaves to mourn in his absence: mother Audrey Huey of Allen, TX; father Carlyle Lewis of Dallas, TX; step-father Kurt Huey of Allen, TX; siblings Donovan Henry of CA, Christina Lewis of TX, Annmarie Gravey of NY, Natasha Lewis of GA; maternal grandmother Gladys Shiep of Jamaica; paternal grandmother Thora Lewis of GA; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins; extended family, girlfriend, Nancy Messiha, and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 28, 2006 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, TX. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends starting at 6:00 P.M., Friday, October 27, 2006 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. 2 I only knew you briefly through Nancy, as the neighbor, but we had many good conversations while you were here visiting Nancy. Your soft-spoken and mannerly ways were a true hallmark of a gentleman. I did not know you well, but what I did know I liked very much. The world could use more promising young gentlemen. I am very sad it has lost this one. Know that you Nancy loved you so and misses you greatly. I hope the memories of you will bring her comfort in her times of sorrow. Carlyle my love is yours forever, FANCY NANCY MESSIHA, NOVEMBER 5, 2006 JR, on Thursday 10/19 you told me you were bored and wanted to leave Dallas I never dreamed you were leaving me permanently. Son, you are my best friend and I miss our talk, our trips together, you fixing things for me around the house. Most of all I miss touching you, and hearing your voice. I feel so empty without you, I just don't want to go on without you. I love you so much, and long to be with you. I keep thinking this is just another one of your trick's you like to play on me! If it is so please come home, come home honey I wont be angry with you I just want you to come home. There is so much I have to tell you, and I don't understand why you left me. 4 AUDREY M HUEY, NOVEMBER 2, 2006 The last time I saw Carlyle, I promised him I'd be back...that was 7 years ago. I moved from Texas, back home, to realize that life doesn't always turn out how you expect it too. Now today, I feel the same way. My peace lies in the fact that I stood right beside him when he accepted Jesus into his heart at the Potters House in Dallas. Bishop T.D. Jakes presonally prayed for him and I immediately saw a different man emerge from within. Ms. Audrey, you raised a wonderful man. He now lives in Heaven and you will see him again. 5 Carlyle was one of my first friends moving to North Texas, and attending UNT. He always knew how to make me laugh, and most of all he was truly a great friend.
