1 PHONE: (972) Billy C. Rogers February 22, July 6, 2011 Billy C. Rogers, age 67 of Frisco, Texas passed away on July 6, 2011 in Frisco. He was born on February 22, 1944 to Edward Floyd and Lucille Locke (Hester) Rogers. Billy was married to Sally Su Peeples on February 21, 1964 in Houston, Texas. He had a long career in the Office Supply industry and was happily retired at the time of his passing. Billy is survived by his wife, Sally Rogers of Frisco, Texas; daughters, Melinda Hendrix and husband, Maurice of Houston, Texas, Leslie Metten and husband, Todd of Plano, Texas; grandsons, Jastin and Levi Metten; sisters, Barbara Thumann and husband, Don of Georgia, Sandy Rogers of Georgia; brothers, Kenneth Rogers and wife, Wanda of Georgia, Roy Rogers and wife, Tanya of Florida, Randy Rogers of Florida; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Lucille Rogers; sister, Geraldine Houston and his brother, Lelan Rogers. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at First United Methodist Church Katy, Texas beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Big Brother Big Sister organization at Memorials Billy was one of the most kind hearted loving person I have known in my life. He raised me as his own. I remember spending time as a child at Billy and Sally's house and it was the best memories of my life. I remember spending nights and days there and teaching me everything a young girl would need to know. Billy and I used to stay up late at night and look at the stars laying out in the drive way and play a game we called 'ABC' would start from a naming

2 words and end at z. I would make him replay the laurel and hardy shows on vhs over and over again and we would mix our peanut butter and honey with our bread. These memories I have with him will forever be with me in my heart. Billy will always be with me in spirit even though he is gone. He has shown me what it means to be a good person in this world. Taught me so many things on life and to be kind. I cannot express enough on what he has done for me. I do wish I could talk to him at this moment but I know I will one day get to see him again. I love you Billy and thank you for everything and I miss you and still think about you everyday. LACY, JULY 23, 2016 Our condolences goes out to you Sally and the girls. He was very polite never forgot to say thank you and please. If he said he was going to something you knew he would do it. If he said he would not you could count on that too. I was privileged to attend the wedding when he and Sally married, I regret that I did not know Billy as an adult as well as I would have like. Our paths crossed occasional at family meetings. I remember very good times spent a long time ago with Billy e.g., his active presence as a youth at Houston First Baptist Church, when in the 1960 s he lived in Meadowbrook Village in east Houston with his wife Sally and young daughters, when he frequently drove me to play in church youth basketball games across town, when he visited my Dad at my childhood home to discuss fishing and racing pigeons, and when he came to visit me and my mother just after my Dad passed away in Nov I remember Billy asking me in about 1970 to visit his home in Meadowbrook with my small motorcycle, so he could drive it around his neighborhood (which he did). I liked and enjoyed Billy s personality, wit, and friendliness. He was consistently nice to me and all others. MARK H. 5 Billy was amember of the Second Baptist Church of Houston. I knew him through Polly Piercy, a very close of mine. One time, so long ago, Billy took Polly and myself for a ride in a gold Cadillac convertible, belonging to Kenny Rogers, singer/actor, who was basically a local talent at that time. We were so impressed. I remember Billy as a quiet, polite gentleman. I know Sally was a perfect match for him. My condolences to all of the family. All who came to visit him were blessed, and he was thankful for even the little things like strawberry soda. He is free now, and walking and talking with Jesus, and we will see him again one day.
