2 Events and Thank You 5 th and 6 th December Interns took part in mock group interviews with Santander - thanks to the staff at the University branch for doing this for us. 11 th December We had a visit from Roman Dymeck from the City of Glasgow College he talked to us about hints and tips for interviews and for when starting a job 13 th December Siobhan and Mathew McLean presented to SHRPN (Scottish Human Resource Practitioners Network) HR event held at University of Strathclyde. Particular thanks to Mathew for agreeing to do this for us and representing Project SEARCH in such a positive manner. 13 th December Scottish Government Autism Strategy Consultation in Glasgow. Thanks to Susan, Sarah, Stuart and Esther for attending on our behalf. 19 th December 18 th December Interns took part in an introduction to Mindfulness; thanks to Colin Flynn for delivering this session Interns visited the Fab Lab at the University for a 2 hour session, learning about laser printing and software packages to create designs Thanks to Lindsey Whiteford and Graeme Murdoch for delivering this to us. KFC is so popular that customers must place their Christmas orders 2 months in advance. 10 million The number of Turkeys cooked in the UK every Christmas. Rudolph was almost named Rollo or Reginald. Reginald the Red-Nosed Reindeer doesn t quite have the same ring to it. Franklin Pierce was the first president to place a Christmas tree in the White House. Gifts are shared during the Christmas season to symbolize the gifts given to Jesus by the three wise men.
