2 9:30 worship We Gather to Worship the Triune God Prelude: A Mighty Fortress Is Our God Robert Hobby, Wilbur Held Call to Worship (Choir): God is Our Refuge God is our refuge and strength; a present help in time of trouble. Though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea, Though the waters roar and foam, we will not fear. Come and behold the work of the Lord, The awesome acts of God. He is in the midst of his people, in all the earth. He is the Word, we are his hands, he will lead us. He is the air, we are his song, We will celebrate his presence all the day long. He is the rain, we are the stones, he will cleanse us. He is the air, we are his song, We will celebrate his presence all the day long. Allen Pote *We Receive God s Greeting *Song: In Christ Alone Red Hymnal 770 *Prayer *Song: Forever Red Hymnal 578 *We Greet One Another We Are Renewed by the Spirit Children s Time (Children in the Preschool Church Hour Class dismissed to Room 27.) Prayers of the People We Present our Gifts & Offerings for: The Lord s work through AACRC Offertory (Choir): Reformation Hymn We will trust God s Word alone, where his perfect will is known our traditions shift like sand while his Truth forever stands. We will live by faith alone, clothed in merit not our own; all we claim is Jesus Christ and his finished sacrifice. Chris Anderson & Bob Kauflin *Please stand if you are able.

3 Glory be, glory be to God alone through the church he redeemed and made his own. He has freed us, he will keep us till we re safely home. Glory be, glory be to God alone! We are saved by grace alone--undeserved, yet freely shown; no accomplishment on earth can achieve the second birth. We will stand on Christ alone, the unyielding Cornerstone; nations rage and devils soar, still he reigns forevermore! Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:1-2 Sermon: Tradition! We Are Fed by God s Word and Table Song of Response: Father, We Give You Thanks Red Hymnal 816 We Celebrate the Lord s Supper Institution and Invitation Communion This morning we celebrate communion. All who love Jesus Christ, trust in him alone for their salvation, and agree to be his disciple are invited to join with us in this celebration. With thanks and joy, take the bread and dip it into the cup. If you are unable to proceed to the front of the sanctuary to partake of communion, remain seated and the elements will be brought to you. Communion Songs: You Satisfy the Hungry Heart (Instrumental) Satisfied All my life long I had panted for a drink from some cool spring, that I hoped would quench the burning of the thirst I felt within. Hallelujah! He has found me, the One my soul so long has craved! Jesus satisfies all my longings; Feeding on the filth around me til my strength was almost gone. Longed my soul for something better, only still to hunger on. Chorus words: Clara T. Williams; music: Karl Digerness 1997 Karl Digerness Music; 2012 Cardiphonia Music Songs used with permission UBP OneLicense A & CCLI #224005

4 Poor I was and sought for riches, something that would satisfy. But the dust I gathered round me only mocked my soul s sad cry. Chorus Well of water ever springing, Bread of Life so rich and free. Untold wealth that never faileth, my Redeemer is to me. Chorus through his blood I now am saved. (2x) We Go Out in God s Peace *Prayer of Thanksgiving *We Receive God s Blessing *Song: A Mighty Fortress Is Our God Red Hymnal 776 *Postlude: A Mighty Fortress Is Our God Robert Hobby Pastors: John Groen, Ryan Boes Preacher: Rev.
