Cover Image: Dave Sherwin ABN.TV 3ABNSTORE.COM Mending broken people, by God s grace, for 34 years Be sure to tune in November 15 at 8:00 p.m. CST (UTC 6) Dear 3ABN Family, It s hard to imagine that it has been 34 years this month since the Lord impressed me that He wanted to build a television station that would reach the world with the undiluted three angels messages of Revelation 14:6 12, one that would counteract the counterfeit. At that time, there wasn t a single Seventh-day Adventist-owned television station airing 24/7 Adventist programming anywhere in the world! I knew this vision for Adventist television was from the Lord because it was way too big of a dream for me to dream! I can also honestly say that from the very first day until now, I have never doubted that God would provide every need to get 3ABN built and reaching the world! I didn t know how He would do it, but I knew it was His will for Seventh-day Adventists to be the head and not the tail with worldwide evangelism. There were several religious TV stations in 1984, but none were Seventh-day Adventist. I praise God that I praise God that when we told our story, many when we told our of you listened and joined hands with us here at the fledgling little 3ABN network. Thanks to story, many of you the Lord and you, 3ABN can now be seen and listened and joined heard all around the world. I ve been to places hands with us... like Russia, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Australia, New Zealand, and many other countries, and I ve had the privilege of watching 3ABN as it airs 24/7. Untold thousands of people around the world have found Jesus and joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church through the ministry of 3ABN. 3 4 NEWS & EVENTS Bobby Davis hts. ear after year, the Lord has faith- supplied our needs, Danny Yfully begins, and I believe He blesses in spite of us. If we keep focused on our message and our mission to take the undiluted three angels messages to the world and counteract the counterfeit, He will only bless us more. He s provided us with a great board of directors, each of whom are deeply committed Seventh-day Adventist Christians who firmly support our vision and our mission. I m so thankful for their leadership for the past 34 years which is more than half of my life. Miracles and Blessings Throughout those years I ve witnessed miracles financial miracles, spiritual miracles, perfect timing miracles with things we need, and physical blessings. I can testify to this last one personally, since on July 19 of this year, I had quadruple bypass heart surgery. I give God the glory This has been The Year of Present Truth at Three Angels Broadcasting Network, and as we approach our thirtyfourth anniversary, we asked 3ABN founder and president, Danny Shelton, for his thoughts. for bringing me through this, since heart disease runs in my family. My dad died from it at an early age, and I ve had many other relatives who have had open heart surgery. All that convinced me 30 years ago to make major changes in my diet, and had I not done this, I might have died already. This surgery experience has made my vision and commitment stronger than ever. Life is short, and we need to do what He asks of us with all our heart, mind, and soul. We here at 3ABN are especially blessed to have viewers and donors we can count on to pray and financially bless us; and because of this, what began as a small dream has turned into a worldwide ministry reaching potentially hundreds of millions of people around the world. We ve seen thousands come to know Jesus all around the world through 3ABN television and radio outlets. Without our viewer s dedication to the vision and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and 3ABN, none of this would have been possible. It s too big a job without each one of you. Looking Back And Forward We ve focused on the three angels messages for many years, but this year, our Give Him Glory project put those messages to music. Many talented songwriters combined their efforts on this project, and I believe it will reach the public like we never have before. We continue to use the print medium, too. This month, Alabama voters will see a new constitutional amendment on their ballots called The Ten Commandment Amendment, and it s sure to draw the attention of the entire nation. That s why we ve blanketed that state with The Ten Commandments Twice Removed, drawing attention to God s holy Sabbath. There are 11 million copies of that book in print, and we know that thousands of laymen, as well as dozens of Sunday-church pastors who have read it are now keeping the Sabbath! This year we also published and distributed nearly 1,000,000 copies of Spiritual Vigilantes, explaining the truth behind the attempted destruction of God s Law. We have increased our efforts in ground evangelism, holding evangelistic crusades in London, and this year in Phoenix. We re planning another one next year, so please pray for us and that the Holy Spirit will bring many more souls into His kingdom. After 34 years, and by God s grace, we re still striving to proclaim the three angels messages to the world, broadcasting through eight television networks and five radio networks, as well as streaming through the Internet to computers, tablets, smartphones, set-top boxes like mysdatv, Roku, and Apple TV and any other way we can find! This year, some of our dearest friends have retired friends like Hal and Mollie Steenson, and CA and Irma Murray but they will still return for special occasions. We are dependent on the Lord and on each of you, His people. As we join hands, we ll continue making this dream a reality. In their place, God is bringing us new people like Greg and Jill Morikone, Ryan Day, Jason Bradley, and others. These are solid Christians who bring new strength to this ministry, joining others who tirelessly work for the Lord, like Julia Outkina in Russia and John and Rosemary Malkiewycz in Australia. Thank you for your prayers, and know that we pray for you, as well, when you write in and call our Pastoral department prayer line. We are dependent on the Lord and on each of you, His people. As we join hands we ll continue making this dream a reality!

4 6 NETWORK FEATURE Brenda Walsh axwell, our Kids Time dog, was dearly loved around the world, and when he passed away last year, it left a huge hole in each of our hearts. I began praying that God would lead me to just the right dog to take his place, because I knew finding His replacement would need divine direction. I included Maxwell s story in volume one of Miss Brenda s Bedtime Stories, where I shared how I was afraid of dogs and asked God for one that wouldn t jump on me, bark at me, or lick me. God answered my prayer in a powerful way by sending Max, who for ten years, faithfully slept on every Kids Time program! God was so faithful, because in all of those years, Teddie Bear Maxwell never once jumped on me, barked at me, or licked me! Now, that s a miracle! Maxwell was so special that I knew finding another dog just like him was not realistic and I was impressed to look for a totally different breed. Many times throughout the years, kids would come to the Kids Time set, and because of allergies, were not able to be around dogs. One ten-year-old boy, whom I will never forget, came to the set one day and wanted his picture made with Maxwell. He begged his mom to let him have just two minutes with the dog he had grown to love by watching Kids Time every day. Tears ran down his cheeks as he pleaded with her, Mom, please, please, let me pet him for just one second. Here s my EpiPen you can give me a shot! Teddie Bear s first Road Trip. I knew then that whenever Maxwell passed away, our next dog should be a breed that was hypoallergenic, or allergy friendly, so that all kids could be around him. When Max died, I began praying for just the perfect dog and not long after, God led me to Teddie Bear. Mellisa, my assistant, and I had stopped at a restaurant for lunch one day and saw a man sitting at one of the outdoor tables. Next to him were two beautiful dogs that quietly sat beside him not making a sound. Even when people walked by, they didn t bark or jump up on them and were surprisingly calm. I was so amazed at how well-behaved they were that I went over to the man and asked about his dogs. He explained that they were miniature Australian labradoodles, and how this particular breed was known for their sweet, calm dispositions, and were especially good around children. After talking with his breeder and sharing how important it was that we found the right dog, he promised to give us his best and cutest dog for Jesus. I fell in love with Teddie Bear immediately his fluffy fur, sparkling eyes, My mom holding Teddie Bear for the first time. And my dad loves Teddie Bear, too! Teddie Bear s first plane ride. loving disposition, and perfect heartshaped nose! I have no doubt that kids around the world will love him, too. 7 12 CHANGED LIVES Three Angels Broadcasting Network has a mission to reach every person with the undiluted three angels messages of Revelation 14. These important messages call us all to worship our Creator in truth and walk in the light He has given us through the Holy Bible. Here at 3ABN we seek to reach out through every method we know of, and those who write and call us prove these methods are working! Prayer Line Ministry Christine in Dayton, New York, was reached through 3ABN s prayer line, and wrote recently to say that, Keeping in touch through the 3ABN prayer line has been like staying in touch with the family I never had. You ve been there for me through the bad and good times. I began calling in 2002, when I was living with an older Adventist couple. Back then, they had a 36 dish in their yard and 3ABN on their TV. I d never seen such great programming and I soaked up new Bible truths and began to change. On the prayer line, Pastor Joe stuck by me with prayer and patience for several years as I was delivered from some old detrimental habits. Then I was blessed to meet and marry Michael. Praying with Pastor Joe helped me through the battle of getting Sabbaths off at the factory where I worked, and a chance to attend a recovery program at Dr. Neil Nedley s Oklahoma center. Finally, out of crises, I was re-baptized. I am now retired but stay busy volunteering with the local food pantry and Meals on Wheels. 3ABN is still part of my family, and it s good to have old friends I can still call with prayer requests. I love you all. Programming Ministry 3ABN programming continues to touch our viewers and change their lives. Annette ed us to say, I just want to let you know how much I love watching your programs. Everyone I see is truly Spirit-filled. I especially enjoy the programs on Revelation, since you explain it so clearly. It s hard to understand what some of those signs and symbols mean but watching your programs has enlightened me. May God bless your ministry! Then we have a letter from Joyce, who is 77 and lives in Marshfield, Missouri. She writes, I ve been watching for about seven years, and after watching for a while, I started getting answers to questions I d had for a long time like the Sabbath truth, and what happens when we die. I looked up the nearest Seventh-day Adventist Church 30 miles away, and five years ago I joined it because of 3ABN. Two of us began carpooling, but I invited my neighbors, so now there are four! I just want to thank Danny Shelton for listening and hearing what the Holy Spirit said all those years ago. God bless you all at 3ABN. I ll see you when the last trumpet sounds! Camp Meeting Ministry Many 3ABN viewers and listeners make a point of attending our 3ABN Camp Meeting events each year. We received a letter from Terry, saying, Thank you so much for the camp meeting series you recently broadcast. Each program is a huge blessing, and I m looking forward to when they come to YouTube... These are subjects that I really needed to hear about. A load of notes have been taken, and are being guarded very carefully. God bless 3ABN and each and every one of you. Brenda also wrote us, saying, I have been a Christian for over 60 years, and I feel like I am just now learning the whole truth of God s Word. The 3ABN Homecoming programs were so enlightening. I study God s Word daily, and I want to share His love with everyone. Thank you for being there. Prisoner Ministry Our ministry to prisoners continues to touch the hearts of those who receive Remnant Study Bibles. In fact, we received a beautiful hand-made card from a prison in Austin, Texas, full of beautiful notes of gratitude from inmates we d been in touch with. Gary wrote, I just want to thank you so much for this beautiful Bible. Not too much is ever given to us in this place, and the Bible is very special to me. I thank God for what Jesus Christ has given me eternal life. Another inmate wrote, I want to say thank you for helping me and my brothers with a Bible, so we may be thoroughly equipped for every good work... Please know I am truly grateful. And finally, Clinton wrote, I would like to thank you for the Remnant Study Bible you sent me. It s an awesome Bible, and will help me further my studies of God, our Father. God bless each of you! Ghana University Research Professor, Elizabeth Asante, is board director for our 3ABN-Ghana NGO, and through her faith and tireless efforts, 3ABN now broadcasts to the entire country over their national digital television system on channel 19. Praise God! At 3ABN Uganda, our board director, Professor Jackson Mwakali, heads up a team that has faithfully worked toward blanketing the entire nation with 3ABN s signal. We have received tremendous help from our friend, Booker Ajouga, too, and today 3ABN reaches three-quarters of the country s population on channel 21. We believe, by God s grace, that we ll cover the rest of the country by 2020! DIRECTIONS 1. Spray a skillet with non-stick cooking spray and heat to medium-high. Sauté onion until clear, then add mushrooms and celery and cook until tender. Add the stuffing mix, pecans and sage and mix thoroughly. 2. In a four-cup measuring cup, add McKay s Chicken Style Seasoning and water. Mix and add to the skillet. 3. Add salt to sweet potatoes and mix thoroughly. Spray a 9 x 13" baking pan with non-stick cooking spray. Spread stuffing in the pan, add sweet potatoes on top. 4. Prepare topping by cutting the margarine into the flour. Add sugar. Mix well. Sprinkle evenly over the top, then sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes in a 350ºF oven.
