4 Significa Volume XXXV Number 1, September 2016 Page 4 Marianne McKeague Legislation The first issue of a new term is nearly always an introduction of the new board, and this one is no exception. So I am Marianne McKeague, and I ve been serving with the East DuPage-South DuPage Deanery for a number of years, and am happily looking forward to another term as your Legislation Chair. Each issue, I plan to bring you updates on issues that you should know about and/or act upon in Congress and the Illinois General Assembly. I have served my parish CCW, St. Alexander, since I felt called to help a friend when she was elected president. She and I subsequently were asked to serve on the Deanery and Diocesan CCWs. Personally, my husband Bob and I love spending time with our five children, their spouses, and all 12 of our grandchildren. We have lived in Villa Park for all but the first of those years. Bob is retired - if you can call it that but as a nationally-ranked triathlete, his many races and training for them occupy more hours than most full-time jobs. I work part-time at St. Alexander s, belong to a national Catholic Honor Society, shop year-round for birthday, Christmas gifts etc., play in 2 bridge groups (one with Bob, and one with long-standing women friends), and love to travel and read, especially on my IPad. 733 Harvard Villa Park IL marianne33@att.net Linnea Warda - Organization I have been an active member of my St. Pius X Parish for 34 years. If I don't have an answer I will get you the correct one. Now that we are starting the new council year, remember to look over your by-laws and standing rules. Be sure that they are current and reflect what you are doing in your council. It is not necessary to change them every year but do go over them.
