If one is not baptized or for any reason does not wish to receive Communion, he or she is most welcome to receive a blessing, indicated by crossing both arms over one s chest. If you wish to discuss or receive baptism (initiation into the Christian faith), please speak to the priest. You may receive the bread directly onto your tongue or into folded hands, and then after consuming the bread, may drink the wine from the chalice. If you keep the bread in your hands, it is our custom that a chalice bearer will dip it into the wine, and then place it on your tongue. The ministers will bring the Sacrament to those who tell an usher that they cannot easily climb the steps. Low-gluten bread is available upon request. If one does not wish to receive either the bread or wine, be assured that Christ is fully present in both. 12

CHORISTER NEWS UPDATE The Choristers and our Director of Music have returned from an excellent week at the Royal School of Church Music Training Course in Newport, Rhode Island. In this course, they learned and performed a great deal of music in 2 services of Choral Evensong and a Choral Eucharist. They also sang Morning Prayer and Compline daily, composed their own hymn descants, made lots of new friends, 13

14 went to the beach, and more. Scholarships to the course were provided by the Gertrude Butts Fund of the Diocese of Newark.
