1 602 Morgan Blvd. Harlingen, TX November 2014 ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE ELDERS Daylight Savings Time ends at 2:00AM Sunday, November 2 nd. Don t forget to set your clocks back one hour. There will be an appreciation breakfast for our Pastors on November 2 nd at 9:15AM in the Parish Hall. This will take the place of adult Bible class. Breakfast tacos and drinks will be provided. An Appreciation Donation Basket will be available and all proceeds will be used to purchase gift cards for our Pastors and their families. You can also put in the basket your own gift cards or notes to be given directly to them. We are very thankful for the wonderful Pastors we have at St. Paul and this will be a great opportunity for us to all say thank you in our own way. Please feel free to visit with any of the elders if you cannot attend but still would like to contribute. 1

Through the waters of the flood, faith in God, and persistent dedication, we will take a closer look at Noah and the Grace of God found in his story. Please plan on joining us for this Bible Study series starting November 9 th at 9:15AM in the Parish Hall. Veterans Day will be observed at St. Paul Academy on Tuesday, November 11 th, with a special Veterans Day Assembly at 10:30AM in the gym. Various activities include prayers for those who have and are presently serving our country in the Armed Forces, patriotic readings and songs, a special visual presentation, and the pledge to the American flag. Following the assembly, we invite our veterans to join us for lunch. All veterans and parents are especially invited to join us for this Veterans Day tribute as we give glory to God and honor our service men and women. All children this age are invited to join us as we go on a "Kingdom Quest" with fantastic activities, live Bible story actors, puppets, crafts, and games all centered around God's Word! If the children you love haven't had the opportunity to experience this great ministry join us this Sunday to get a taste of the Kingdom! The fun happens each Sunday morning from 9:15AM-10:15AM in our classrooms of Great Beginnings on the campus of St. Paul Church. Look for the signs and greeters ready to welcome you to "Kingdom Quest" to begin your adventure! The youth group meetings on Sunday nights from 6-8PM have been working their way through the fundamentals of our faith and practice. Lutheranism 101 is the book we are using to discuss, learn, and strengthen our understanding of the solid foundation of our faith. We invite all confirmed youth to join us on Sunday nights. If you would like to provide food, get involved in any way, or simply just want to come sit in with us, we would 3 love to have you!
