We aim *to show God s love in worship and service; *to offer a place where people feel welcome and valued; *and to invite all people to share and journey with us in a deepening relationship with God. COLLECT: True and humble king, hailed by the crowd as Messiah: grant us the faith to know you and love you, that we may be found beside you on the way of the cross, which is the path of glory. Amen. If you feel you are unable to go up to the altar for communion, please speak to a sides person on duty who will arrange either for someone to help you, or for you to receive communion in your pew. ELECTORAL ROLL REVISION. Today is the last opportunity for new members to be added to the published Electoral Roll for 2018/2019. Any application received after today will be accepted, but will not be included on the new Electoral Roll presented at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting on 22 nd April. 3 ST. BASIL LENT APPEAL. Easter Sunday is the LAST opportunity to make a donation to the St. Basil Lent Appeal. GOOD FRIDAY HOT X BUNS. We would be very grateful for any donations of Hot X Buns for our service on Good Friday. If you are able to help us, please put your name on the list which is at the back of the church and deliver the buns to either the Vicarage or the Church Centre on the Thursday or before 10.30am on Good Friday. A huge thank you to all of you who supported us for this week s final Lent Lunch. We raised a further making our final total 1,400. On current numbers the cost would rise to 15pp (but there would be plenty of space on the coach). Anyone else wishing to go would be welcome, please sign the list on the noticeboard at the right hand side of the church (and the price would go down). ROY CASH. Joan and Roy invite you to celebrate Roy s 90 th birthday with them after the 10.00am service on Sunday 8 th April in the Church Centre when drinks and cake will be served. ST. BASIL S STARTER KIT Lent Appeal 2018 As you may know St. James has a link with a hostel run by St. Basil s in Erdington. They help young homeless people move off the streets and into accommodation, setting up their own homes, some for the first time. These young people, mainly men, need the usual household items, preferably new, but nearly new would also be welcome. Below is a list of items that would be appreciated and can be left in the box at the back of church. I will be taking the items collected during the first week in April. Thank you. Tina.
