4 THE LIGHT IS ON FOR YOU Wednesday Evening Confessions Across the Diocese this Advent On the first three Wednesdays of Advent [December 6, 13 and 20] from 6:30-8:00 p.m., we will be offering confessions here at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, together with all the Catholic parishes in the Diocese of Lafayette. This outreach is called The Light is On For You, and is an effort on the part of our Diocese to highlight the importance of the Sacrament of Confession in the life of Catholics and to make it as easy as possible for every Catholic to come or to return to this great source of God s mercy and healing love. You are welcome to come here or to go to any other Catholic parish in the Diocese. 6 Youth Information Fall Retreat Dec 2nd & 3rd Ms. Jerry hosted a Christmas Dinner for the Edge Core Team with gumbo served by Mr.Tony Sevin. The group celebrated the season then got hard to work planning their Christmas Social for the youth of the Edge program. The social will be held December 18th. Mark Miley, Angie Landry, and Mona Harrington. Fifty one high school students from our Life Teen program attended their Fall Retreat this past weekend. The retreat was titled Chaos and the goal was to invite teens out of the chaos of their lives and into a deeper relationship with God, allowing Him to continue His creative work in each of them. Six priests from five surrounding parishes provided the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the teens, Fr. Mark Miley offered a Mass for the teens on Saturday and Fr. Nicholas DuPré led the teens in Eucharistic Adoration and closed the retreat with Mass on Sunday.
