St. Luke s Parish Breakfast and Christmas Program St. Luke s Men s Club will host a parish Advent breakfast on Sunday, December 10 at 9:00 AM. Following breakfast, the St. Luke Religious Education classes will share the Christmas story with us. Healing Mass - There will be a healing Mass at St. Luke s will be Friday, December 15. Confession and Eucharistic Adoration begin at 6:00 PM, Mass will be celebrated at 7:00 PM followed by the opportunity for individual prayers for physical, emotional and spiritual needs for yourself or someone else. A time for food and fellowship is available in the parish hall. Come feel the energy and healing touch of the Holy Spirit through the Mass, prayers, and music. Prepare the Way of the Lord!

4 Wednesday Mass Mass on Wednesday, December 13 will be at noon at the Newman Center. Everyone is welcome. St. John's Altar & Rosary - St John's Altar & Rosary Christmas Party & meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 12th at 6 pm at the home of Julie Heineke, with Janet Barth assisting. There will be a $10 gift grab bag, give a gift get a gift. St. John s - Christmas flower donation envelopes are in the back of the church, give to Rose Wolf or LuAnn VanMeter. St. John Thank You - Thank you to the Kaprauns, Smalls & Mullins for the wonderful Advent breakfast. Also, thanks to Megan Kearfott for the Christmas centerpieces. Also, thanks to everyone that helped after the breakfast bring all the Christmas. Trees and decorations upstairs it is greatly appreciated. Day of Reflection There will be a Day of Reflection on December 14, 2017, at St. Joseph s Hall in Roanoke from 10:00 AM 1:00 PM. Lunch will be served. A $10.00 donation is requested. Sister Diane and Sister Betty Jean will lead the day. There will be signup sheets at the three parishes. Christmas Remembrance Tree - The "Christmas Remembrance Tree" at St. Josephs is in honor of loved ones living and deceased. We invite everyone to recognize friends or family members by placing their names upon the tree. The tree is located at the side altar and we have paper ornaments near the tree and you may write a name on it and place it on the tree. Feel free to add a special memory if you wish! Wishing you a Special Advent season!! St. Luke s Adult Education - The next session of Adult Education will begin on Sunday, January 7, 2018, from 9:15 to 10:30 am. The topic is Bishop Robert Barron s Mystery of God. Blood Drive St. Luke s Ladies Guild will be sponsoring an American Red Cross blood drive on Monday, December 18 from 1-6 PM. It will be in the parish hall. The Red Cross has had 2 big cancellations already this month (one due to a death of a high school student and the other due to equipment failure). Any extra help would be greatly appreciated. In addition, all donors who come to donate blood December 12th through December 20th will earn a chance to win a $50 gift certificate (Donors must have a valid address to be entered. Donors can choose from hundreds of merchants, such as Target, Amazon.com, Panera Bread and more. It s our way of saying thanks for helping patients around the country.
