6 The Readings Jeremiah 31: 7-14 For thus says Lord: Sing aloud with gladness for Jacob, raise shouts for chief nations; proclaim, give praise, say, Save, O Lord, your people, remnant Israel. See, I am going to bring m from l north, gar m from farst parts earth, among m blind lame, those with child those in labour, toger; a great company, y return here. With weeping y come, with consolations I will lead m back, I will let m walk by brooks water, in a straight path in which y not stumble; for I have become a far to Israel, Ephraim is my firstborn. Hear word Lord, O nations, declare it in coastls far away; say, He who scattered Israel will gar him, will keep him as a shepherd a flock. For Lord has ransomed Jacob, has redeemed him from hs too strong for him. They come sing aloud on height Zion, y be radiant over goodness Lord, over grain, wine, oil, over young flock herd; ir life become like a watered garden, y never languish again. Then young women reoice in dance, young men old be merry. I will turn ir mourning into oy, I will comfort m, give m gladness for sorrow. I will give priests ir fill fatness, my people be satisfied with my bounty, says Lord. Matw 2:13-15, Now after y had left, an angel Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream said, Get up, take child his mor, flee to Egypt, remain re until I tell you; for Herod is about to search for child, to destroy him. Then Joseph got up, took child his mor by night, went to Egypt, remained re until death Herod. This was to fulfil what had been spoken by Lord through prophet, Out Egypt I have called my son. When Herod died, an angel Lord suddenly appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt said, Get up, take child his mor, go to l Israel, for those who were seeking child s life are dead. Then Joseph got up, took child his mor, went to l Israel. But when he heard that Archelaus was ruling over Judea in place his far Herod, he was afraid to go re. And after being warned in a dream, he went away to district Galilee. There he made his home in a town called Nazareth, so that what had been spoken through prophets might be fulfilled, He will be called a Nazorean.
