The tree in the alcove of the main hallway which was collecting your mittens now has been redecorated with Angel Tree tags with names of these children and gift suggestions provided both by absent parents and the present caregivers. Feel free to contact me for any last minute suggestions from caregivers I may have received after the tags were prepared. Please wrap your gift and apply the self-adhesive label from the tag to your present and return it to the tree by December 2 to allow us time to sort the gifts by households before December 8 when the children and families will be coming to a party to receive their gifts as well as a gospel message. Since we usually encounter some additional children in these family units, we try to have some extra general purpose gifts for such children. There will be some extra tags on the tree for wrapped gifts for this purpose as well as a box under the tree for any 'stocking stuffer' gifts you might want to offer. After distributing gifts to all children on our list and to any extras we might encounter, whatever unused gifts remain will be donated to The Way to benefit other needs within our community. Thanks for sharing God's love for such unfortunate children. We continue to collect food for SHOW and are in need of Ramen noodles, Chef Boyardee microwavable meals and mac-n-cheese microwavable cups.
