17 me I love you February 27, 2008 I miss you..i find myself having such a hard time lately and crying without any cause to. I want to hate you for leaving me but I cannot. Sometimes I feel so lost without you and find it so hard to make sense of life. I want to be angry with you so much Shawn but it's impossible. I though I was doing so good with healing and standing back up only to find myself feeling as if you just left me all over again. Damn it Shawn...I love you sooo much. 20 To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say... but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight. Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you." It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on. I need you here badly; you're part of my plan. There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man." God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight. God and I are closest to you...in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain. I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned. But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand. But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er. I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before. There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb; but together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too... that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you. If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain, then you can say to God at night..."my day was not in vain." And now I am contented...that my life has been worthwhile,

21 knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile. So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low, just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go. As Shawn would say..."just because I don't go your way, doesn't mean I won't get there" Follow your hearts, live your dreams and come by here often for a visit but continue moving forward. 38 Tiffany Where to start. I have so many many memories, I don't think that I could even begin to touch upon them all. My father was never there for me even to this day. He would pay me off with a card and some money vs. getting to know the real me. I never approved of my mothers men, that is... until Shawn. My mother wasn't into dating and had no intention on starting anything with Shawn. He asked her out and out of nerves she said yes. Once she told me... I wouldn't let her screw it up. I got her ready... kicked her out of the house and locked the door behind her. She was mad at me but she got over it... and later thanked me. I already knew Shawn from her work, where I would go after school to help out. So I knew he was a nice guy. She had never had so much fun in her life. It's all history from there. There are a few things that stick out in my mind about him. Like the time I went up to Vermont with my aunt and was sooo bored and missed hanging out with my mom and him(how many kids can say that at 14) and I called and asked them to get me... without blinking an eye.. Shawn was in that car and on his way to get me. All cuz I needed him. That day we went to the polar caves and spent the day climbing. Another time is when he took us to martha's vineyard for my first time. We all loved taking day trips. No matter how old I got I was never too old or too cool to hang out with my mom and Shawn. In fact, while every other kid in my school went to the beach after prom... "I" chose to go camping with my "family"(mom and Shawn). I would rather have spent my time with them than hang out with my friends... and a lot of the time my friends came along. Then there was Rza. Who made me realize that him and Shawn were sent to me from heaven. They filled voids my mom couldn't fill. Like having a good father and a dog. I never had a dog and Shawn was perfectly happy letting me "think" Rza was mine. I'd take him for walks and brush him for hours. Shawn always said its the little things that count. If he only knew how true that actually is. All I ever wanted was to have a dad who called me just to say hi, and took me places, and made me a priority, and actually knew my favorites and my likes and dislikes, my tastes in music, and actually bought me a present instead of handing me cash. Shawn did all that and more. He was like a best friend and a dad all in one. There was so many things we had in common and would do together. Even if it was just watching t.v sunday mornings.

39 That meant more to me than any sum of money in the world.shawn was always so proud of me... and no matter what it was... he made it a HUGE deal as long as it was for me. Examples... My 18th birthday he(along with my mom) threw my a big surprise party and made sure everything was perfect for his little girl. This was true for my 16th and both of my graduations. For my high school graduation he spent half the day setting up tables and decorations and cooking his butt off. Even stupid little details that other guys would say screw it to. Nothing was too good for me. Other little things I loved doing were decorating the house for seasons, apple picking, and christmas tree picking. I had never had a real tree till him. Then we'd spend hours making it perfect.even down to taking hours to pick the right "like a daughter" card for me. He had a hard time with words but he always found a way. He always included me and made sure we had time together... even if it was shoveling the driveway and turning purple... with a few added snowball fights along the way. Sundays were family day... and no matter what life threw at us... we made sure of it. Even when I was rebellious and wanted to do other things... he would put me in my place and tell me no... which now I am thankful for. I'd wake up in the morning by either act of nature or by act of pouncing from him and my mom. Then we'd all sit in bed together and watch t.v(rza too, but ariel wasn't a big fan)then we'd go to breakfast and proceed to go on a day trip or do something together. My point is Shawn gave me what I always wanted... a dad who cared and truly knew me. He would grab my mother and I, one in each arm and kiss us on the head and say" My Girls". 40 he does her. They had their bonding time in the morning. Shawn would set the alarm for fifteen minutes earlier just so they could have their play time. She would wait for him to put on his work boots and then he would let her go after the laces. If he didn't do it she let him know about it. They also slept together, she would play queen of the mountain. When Shawn rolled onto his side she climbed on top of the highest part of him and stayed there-he was so sweet to her and didn't move until she did. Smile :) One thing I could always count on was Shawn's ability to get me to smile. His favorite thing was to text me for no reason at all and say SMOOCHES AND SMILES BABY! and he knew it was guaranteed to make me smile-and it did...every single time. Yahoo! Shawn was having the time of his life when this photo was taken by his mom. The three of us had gone to the Alan Jackson concert that she treated us to. There was a whole lotta singing going on that nite! Shawn's all country...(almost)

41 Thanx Dad Rza would let Shawn do absolutely anything to him. The poor thing has even been known to wear a tiarra! They were the best of friends. One particular memory Shawn has of Rza, Lady and him is they used to both sleep on either side of Shawn pinning him under the blankets and Shawn couldn't get out of bed. After a whole lot of struggling and clostrophobic yelling-they would lazily get up and let him up. Rza would just give Shawn a look as if to say-big BABY! Nuts! This was taken at King Richard's fair at Tiffany's sweet 16 (5yrs ago). Shawn was the only one either daring or crazy enough to sit with this thing. He even tried picking me up and carrying me over and I refused to let go of the fence. I won that one, but he wooped me at archery!! 44 December 17, 1975 Born in Lowell, Massachusetts on December 17, August 11, 2007 Passed away on August 11, 2007 at the age of 31. August 15, 2007 I suppose I could put all sorts of information here as to the life story of Shawn, but instead I have chosen to say only this. Shawn never became a product of circumstance or let events of his past make him who he was. Instead he decided right from the very beginning to just be "Shawn." He made no excuses for himself nor did he put on any aires. What you saw is what you got, plain and simple. He took his heritage seriously and pride was a big factor in his life. Family meant the upmost as well. He held no regrets and lived life as it presented itself, there for the taking. If I could think of only one word to describe Shawn, It most assuredly would be FERVOR. He came into this world a shooting star and left in the very same fashion.
