Dr. Richard Gibbons Luncheon Study: 12:30 1:00pm Evening Study: 6:30 7:15pm Fellowship Hall The Corinthian epistles are unique among the Pauline letters because of the variety of practical concerns. These letters reveal the degree to which Paul identified with his churches, recognizing their challenges and shortcomings while celebrating their victories. The Corinthian correspondence draws us into a world much like our own, and Paul writes as an anxious pastor who was concerned with problems involved in living the Christian life in a non-christian environment. Paul addresses questions about sexuality, marriage, eating food offered to idols, abuses of church order, the Lord s Supper, spiritual gifts, the essence of divine love, charismatic gifts of tongues and prophecy, and the resurrection. If you are looking to explore in detail some of the most insightful and practical epistles of the New Testament, come and join us on Wednesdays. This is a series of studies you will not want to miss. The Dawn of HIStory Teacher: Dr. Jud Wiley 6:15 7:15pm Room 309 Epochal revelations from creation to the birth of Isaac will be traced with an eye to discerning the way the Lord reveals Himself to us.
