Peace With Justice Offering NEXT WEEK June 15 The 1980 General Conference created a church-wide Peace with Justice program assigned to the General Board of Church & Society. The 1988 General Conference established Peace with Justice Sunday as the first Sunday after Pentecost to give congregations a single, more convenient date for the offering and a name that clearly identifies the ministries it supports. The annual conference keeps 50% of the receipts for Peace with Justice ministries within its boundaries. 5 Please Pray for... Joys and Concerns for 8 June 2014 Health and healing for those in our church family who are battling illness/ health issues. Comfort and peace for those who have recently lost loved ones as they heal. The financial welfare and stewardship of our church, its members and friends. Prayers for the Middle East. The People s Kitchen permanent home. The US and these trying times. Those in depression & isolation. That we reach out to our community and boldly help people see Christ. For the families of the victims and shooter after the massacre in Isla Vista. Judy Atwood friend, Jerri, has cancer cells in her abdomen. Bud Johnson neighbor passed away and good friend also passed away. Irene Kliesch dislocated her shoulder. Don McGuire during chemo. Cristy Van Hook surgery 7/15. Gary Hughes wife passed away. Anderson s friend, Carlos life changes. Marian Balster s friend, Kim in pain and doctors are unable to diagnose source. Tina Moore s sister, Teresa comfort with upcoming surgery on June 25. The those involved in these upcoming events: UMW Spiritual Growth Retreat, the Cal-Pac s Annual Conference, & VBS. For the Pastor s leaving their churches and the churches receiving them on 7/1.
