3 Jessie s Garden at BTS Some of you may wonder what s happening with our small raised beds in front of the synagogue. How much do they produce and where s the food going? All our produce is donated to the Anja Rosenberg Kosher Food Pantry at Jewish Family. Thanks to our master gardener Godfrey Pearlson, our garden is particularly prolific and actually produces more produce than the five raised beds behinds the Community building where JFS is located. The donation of bags of kale, cherry tomatoes and napa cabbage pictured above was made on Monday, August 14th. Sadly, I can tell you that it was gone by the end of the next day, but the families received this organic produce were thrilled to do so. While I retired from my position as Food Pantry Coordinator after 15 years, on September 14th of this year, the client s needs still go on. Hopefully, Jessie s Garden Professor at BTS will Jeremy continue Pressman to exist to serve the people in need in our community for years to come. Kol hakavod to Godfrey!
