Resolve the Board of Education approve the minutes of the special meeting on March 8, 2012 and the regular meeting held March 12, RECOGNITION OF GUESTS AND PRESENTATIONS 6. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION. The public is invited to speak to any of the agenda items and other school topics at this time. Comments should be limited to five minutes. 7. COMMITTEE REPORTS A. REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE TREASURER 8. APPROVE APPROPRIATION ADJUSTMENTS. Resolve the Board of Education approve the following appropriation adjustments: Increase/ Fund From To Decrease 019 Recreational Facilities $40, $54, $14, St. Albert $544, $533, $(21,207.04) 572 Title I $431, $432, $1, Title IIA $105, $108, $3,332.60

2 2 B. REPORTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE SUPERINTENDENT 9. APPROVE THE EDUCATIONAL SERVICE CENTER OF CUYAHOGA COUNTY SERVICE AGREEMENT. Resolve the Board of Education enter into a County Service Agreement, City and Exempted Village School Districts, ORC , for the school year, for any of the following services: Supervision (Special Education, General Education, and Gifted & Talented), Professional Development, Research and Development, and Placement of Children with Disabilities. 10. ACKNOWLEDGE APPRECIATION WEEKS. Resolve the Board of Education acknowledge Administrative Professionals Week (April 22-28, 2012) and Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week (May 7-11, 2012). The Board appreciates the outstanding efforts of all employees of the North Royalton City School District and commend them for "making the difference" in providing a quality educational experience for all students. C. PERSONNEL AND POLICY: 11. APPROVE/AMEND LEAVES OF ABSENCE. Resolve the Board of Education approve/amend the following unpaid leaves of absence: -Erin Pontikos/unpaid leave effective April 30, 2012 through May 28, Leigh Quayle amend unpaid leave to April 19, 2012 through June 8, ACCEPT RESIGNATIONS/RETIREMENTS. Resolve the Board of Education accept the following resignations/retirements: Resignations Lynn Brown/effective March 31, 2012 Daniel Swigonski/effective March 24, APPROVE APPOINTMENTS-CONTINUING CONTRACTS FOR CERTIFICATED/ LICENSED EMPLOYEES. Resolve the Board of Education grant continuing status as teachers to the following staff members, salary on schedule, effective the school year: Megan Annes Anne Marie Kish Christine Noy Alec Byrum Andrea Lemmer Lori Pekare Mary Hayn Samantha Lumpkin Shannon Suhodolsky 14. APPROVE APPOINTMENTS - CERTIFICATED/LICENSED AND CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES. Resolve the Board of Education approve the following appointments to the certificated/licensed and/or classified staffs of the North Royalton City Schools be confirmed with the understanding that such persons are subject to all provisions of law pertaining to the employment of said persons; and said employment is contingent upon subsequent receipt by the Board of a report from the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation which is not inconsistent with the applicants answers on the employment application. The said appointees shall be subject to assignment by the Superintendent of Schools according to the needs and interests of the schools, salary on schedule, effective school year or as indicated: Classified Substitutes Carolyn Packard Maureen Shorts 17. Resolve the Board of Education accept and acknowledge the following gifts and donations: - 94 Kleenex boxes to Early Childhood Center from North Royalton Kiwanis Club - a multi-unit play structure with 3 slides, molded rock climbing wall, Infinity climber, small bridge, arch ladder and two activity panels, a four-wheel JEEP structure and a Harry the Hippo (climbing structure) to the Early Childhood Center from ECC Lil Bears PTA.
