The members present vvere Dr.. J. Johnston, President; rs. yrtle B, Edwards, Secretary; D. C. Brown, Treasurer; and T. C. ahon. Dr. Williams, President of the College, and B. A. Stewart, Archect, were also present. Judge Crville Smh was unavoidably absent, approved. The minutes of the meeng held on August 21st were read and Dr. Williams reported the collecon of farm dales amounng to $171.60; also addional registraon fees for the second summer term and paral report of registraon fees for the first semester amounng to $19,460.55, turned checks over to D. C. Brown, Treasurer, and took his receipts therefor. September 27, 1929 Received of. B. Ella Bowen as manager of the d.ormories for the calendar year of effecve September 10th at a salary of $1650. also recommend the transfer of Lyman Stevens from janor of the library to campus night watchman at a salary of $1500 per year effecve September 23rd. further nominate E. E. Long as janor of the library to succeed Lyman Stevens at a salary of $50 effecve September 23rd.

Saxby and duly cerfied by the Department of ndustrial Relaons, Division of Boiler nspecon, authorizing the use of said boilers for one year from date were presented to the Board and ordered placed on display in boiler room according to law. The proposal of A. E. Avery for furnishing coal for the firing season of the year was presented to the Board. A. E. AVERY Dealer in COAL AND BULDERS' SUPPLES 525 West Woo3ter Street Bowling Green, Ohio August 30, The Bowling Green State Normal College Trustees, Bowling Green, Ohio Gentlemen: hereby propose to furnish the supply of coal for the firing season of the year to the State College to consist of Ptsburgh #8 deep mined nut, pea & slack, delivered in the Power ouse bins at such mes and in such quanes as the need of the instuon and storage facilies will allow, at a price of ^3.39 per ton delivered in the Power ouse bins, invoices to be rendered on the basis of Railroad weights. further agree to keep the instuon supplied so that there will be no interference wh s operaon and to assume responsibily therefor under all reasonable condions. understand that the year's supply based upon previous years, will be from 2500 to 3000 tons, depending on the weather condi ons. A communicaon from onorable Gilbert Beman, Aorney General, regarding the bond of Gertrude Elizabeth Brod, Assistant Treasurer, was read and was moved by ahon and seconded by Brown that in view of the fact that the bond of iss Brod should indemnify the Treasurer of the Board, the bond of the State of Ohio be cancelled and new bond in the same amount be given by her to Treasurer D. C. Brown and that the expense of the bond be paid by the Board of Trustees. Vong aye: Johnston, Edwards, Brown, ahon. oon carried. A leer under date of August 2l3t wrten by Dr. Williams to onorable R. T. Wisda, Director, Department of Public Works, recommending the firm of S. P. Stewart & Son as archects for the Recaon and Departmental Building, and r. Wisda's reply under date of August 22nd advising that he was calling this firm to Columbus for a conference wh his Department wh the object in view of entering into a contract for archectural services for this building was read, and B. A. Stewart represenng thi3 firm, being present, submted contract prepared by the Department of Public Works for the signatures of the Board. oved by Brown and seconded by ahon that the contracts be signed and delivered to r.
