Beginning November 22nd: We have members of our church and community that have compromised immune systems, which will increase their risk for complications from the flu.

2 PARISH NURSE: Parish Nurse hours are Mondays from 3-4:30 PM. Fight an aging back. Strengthen and stretch the muscles that support your spine. Brisk walking works many muscles that support a strong and healthy back, such as the muscles in the thighs, calves, abdomen, hips and buttocks. Beginning November 22nd: We have members of our church and community that have compromised immune systems, which will increase their risk for complications from the flu. Once again Zion will start the No Handshaking time of year and do our part to limit the flu transmission. Remember a friendly warm smile goes a long way. CHRISTMAS CAROLING Next Sunday, December 6th. Meet at the church at 4:30 PM. Light supper after caroling. Everyone welcome! Zion s 125th Anniversary Keepsake Ornaments are available in the church office. These would make a meaningful Christmas gift from parents/grandparents to a child baptized or confirmed at Zion. They are made of pewter and would look nice on any Christmas tree or in a cabinet on a small stand. 7TH ANNUAL SPIRIT OF GIVING giveaway will be held Saturday, Dec. 5 from 8 AM to 12 PM. Donations will be taken starting Wednesday, Dec. 2nd in the Fellowship Hall. NO electronics (computers, TV s) will be accepted. If anyone would like to donate their time to help set up, clean-up, or bring cookies/bars for this event your help and donations are most appreciated.

4 Church Directory Lifetouch representatives will be taking family portraits for our church directory on the following dates. Tuesday, January 19 through Friday, January 23 from 2:00-9:00 PM Saturday, January 24 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Thursday, February 11 and Friday, February 12 from 2:00 9:00 PM, Saturday, February 13, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. If you are going to be gone for the winter and will not be available for photos in January or February, dates for pictures will be available at a later time. Please call Darlene Hulteen for more information. Members will be able to sign up for photo dates in the church narthex from 8:00-10:30 on November 29, December 6, and December 13. Online registration will begin December 4. Just go to the church website ziontrf.org, find the LifeTouch button and follow the directions. 5 YOUTH NEWS JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH GROUP meets Wednesdays from 3-5 PM with Kami. CONFIRMATION SUPPERS are served from 5: 30 to 6 PM each Wednesday. Cost is $2.00 for meal and.50 for pop. K-5 EVENT - December 1 4th from 3-5 PM. KIDS SABBATH NEXT SUNDAY, Dec. 6 will be the Christmas Program. French toast and sausages will be served between services and after the 10:30 service. Please see Amber if you can help with this event. Youth and adults are needed to help in the kitchen. HOSPICE OF THE RED RIVER VALLEY is seeking individuals to join its volunteer team as companionship volunteers. Hospice provides a flexible schedule. To apply, go to volunteer or contact Nikki Dukart at or ndukart@hrrv.org. Morning Out LSS Caregiver Support/ Day Respite Program at Trinity Lutheran Church. Every 1st and 3rd Monday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This service provides a safe enjoyable environment for your loved one (age 60+) so you are able to rest, shop, take care of health needs, or run errands. Participants will enjoy activities in a safe surrounding. For more information contact Loretta Drevlow at Please bring a sack lunch. Coffee and water provided. RSVP Handyman Service Trained volunteers enable seniors to maintain their independence and safety by providing minor home maintenance repairs such as replace batteries, lightbulbs, install grab bars or smoke detectors, weatherization projects, etc. with no charge. Materials or supplies are paid for by the client, scholarships are available for those in need. Call RSVP at HERITAGE COMMUNITY CENTER first Monday of the Month fundraiser supper, 5-6 PM. Minimum donation $7; proceeds to running the Center. Open to all ages. LSS RESPITE SERVICES is for families caring for individuals 60+ with chronic health conditions. They provide a volunteer to come into the home to assist a loved one while the Caregiver can run errands, attend appointments or just get some needed time away.
