2 Every year in the United Methodist Church, the community votes on leadership for the coming year. These leaders are prayed for, recruited, and empowered to lead the church forward in its mission. As this is a new year begins with new pastors and a new structure for understanding our time together, please find enclosed some organizational charts to help navigate the co-pastor model. With enthusiasm, we embrace the mission of the United Methodist Church to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Each United Methodist Church should have a specific way they live out that mission. At Bozeman United Methodist Church, because of the world we believe is possible, we are called by God to experience, celebrate, and share though our actions the love of God that comes to us in Jesus. 3 ADMINISTRATIVE MINISTRIES CHARGE CONFERENCE Co-Lay Leaders & Co-Lay Members to Annual Conference Appointed Clergy ADMINISTRATIVE MINISTRIES Co-Lay Leaders Administration Ministries Trustees Chair PSPR Chair Financial Secretary Treasurer Finance Rep The Charge Conference encompasses all the professing members of the local church, including all retired clergy. The appointed clergy are the administrative officers of the church. The Book of Discipline outlines the duties of the conference, one aspect is to affirm all lay leaders. Composition: All those present constitute a quorum. Nancy Hopkins Sarah Savage The Lay Leader works with the pastor to fulfill the mission and vision of the congregation. These leaders are voting members of every team. The Lay Member to Annual Conference is the local church's representation to the yearly annual meeting building our connection with the global United Methodist Church. Rev. Amy Strader, Lead Pastor to Congregational and Community Engagement Rev. Eric Strader, Lead Pastor to Worship and Administration The Administrative Team is responsible for envisioning, planning, implementing, and evaluating the ministry and strategy of the congregation. Amy Strader The nominations team shall be responsible for the recruitment and leadership development of the ministries, both administrative and programmatic. It will discern, invite, and evaluate leadership. Composition: No more than nine members, including the pastors and lay leaders. Rev. Eric Strader, Pastor PASTOR STAFF PARISH RELATIONS The PSPR is the human resources team within the church structure. This group works to fulfill the legal and ethical responsibilities related to staffing. Amy Strader The finance team oversee the budget, investments, and funds. As well, this group is responsible for longterm giving, endowment development, annual giving campaign, and responsible stewardship strategies. Composition: Leaders of the Admin Committees and others as Nominations sees fit.
