1 Madoc, Ontario St. Peter's Presbyterian Church St. Peter s Presbyterian Church (Madoc, ON) was organized beginning in 1836 with occasional supply from Kingston. During the Disruption of 1844, Presbyterian families in Madoc aligned themselves with the Presbytery of Kingston in connection with the Presbyterian Church of Canada and continued to receive missionary supply. A church building was opened in The first minister to be inducted was the Rev. J.W. Chestnut. He was officially inducted in In 1866, four Presbyterian churches were built to correspond with the four mission stations in the area. These churches were given names to avoid confusion in the community. The church at Madoc was named St. Peter s Presbyterian Church. During the time of Church Union in 1925, the final vote at St. Peter s was 39 for and 103 against. Thus, St. Peter s Presbyterian Church remained with The Presbyterian Church in Canada. 5 Magnetawan, Ontario Knox Presbyterian Church Knox Presbyterian Church (Magnetawan, Ont.) was established as a mission in It was initially linked with the Spence congregation. In 1898 Magnetawan was linked with Dunchurch and Ahmic Harbour. This union lasted until 1903 when Magnetawan was linked with the Spence and Croft (Ahmic Lake) congregations. During the four years from , the Presbyterian and Methodist congregations in Magnetawan shared ministers. At the time of Church Union in 1925, Knox chose to remain with The Presbyterian Church in Canada. In 1959, Knox, Magnetawan, Burks Falls and Sundridge formed a self-supporting three point charge. 7 Maple Valley, Ontario St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church (Maple Valley, Ont.) was organized in 1863 by the Rev. John Campbell. The first church building was opened on July 12, The congregation was known as the Osprey congregation around It was at this time that the congregation was united with Creemore and Dunedin. The first minister was the Rev. Duncan McDonald who ministered to the three point charge. By 1872 the congregation was a part of a charge with Singhampton and Dunedin. During the time of Church Union, St. Andrew s originally voted to enter Union and the non-concurring Presbyterians left the congregation. 8 Markdale, Ontario Cooke's Presbyterian Church Cooke's Presbyterian Church, Markdale was established in 1930 following Church Union, when a majority of the congregation joined with Annesley United Church, and the minority remaining members reverted to The Presbyterian Church in Canada. The original congregation was established in the 1870s. In 1930, the congregation was linked with Flesherton Presbyterian Church and in 1931 with Priceville and Swinton Park. In 1962 Burn's Presbyterian Church, Feversham was added to this charge. In 1966 Priceville was detached and transferred to the Presbytery of Saugeen, and Dundalk, Feversham and Markdale were united as a pastoral charge. In 1976 Cooke's, Markdale and Burn's, Feversham were separated from Dundalk and Swinton Park to form a separate two-point pastoral charge. 13 Martintown, Ontario St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church (Martintown, Ont.) was formed in 1925 following Church Union when a minority of non-concurring Presbyterians chose to break with the newly formed United Church of Martintown. 14 Maxville, Ontario St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church (Maxville, Ont.) was formed in The name of the congregation was originally Indian Lands Presbyterian Church (Glengarry County, Ont.). Shortly after its formation, a log church was built and was referred to as Beech Church due to the large Beech trees used in its construction. A frame church was constructed on land bought from John MacEwan Sr. in This church would later be referred to as the White Church. The Rev. Archibald Connell was the minister to Indian Lands and Martintown. In August of 1839, Indian Lands inducted the Rev. Daniel Clark as minister to their single point charge. Following the Disruption in Scotland, the Rev. Clark and a significant number of the congregation left the Indian Lands church to form a new Canada Presbyterian Church (Free Church) congregation and the Indian Lands church became a mission station of the Church of Scotland. The new Free Church congregation became known as the Gordon Church, St. Elmo. During the Union of 1875, the two separate congregations came together again and were known as St. Elmo Presbyterian Church. In 1887, the congregation was so large that a split was proposed. A number of the congregation left St. Elmo and became St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church (Maxville, Ont.). The first minister to this charge was the Rev. John MacLeod. A church building for the new congregation was completed in During the time of Church Union in 1925, St. Andrew s chose to remain a part of The Presbyterian Church in Canada. 15 Medicine Hat, Alberta St. John's Presbyterian Church St. John's Presbyterian Church, Medicine Hat was first established as a mission charge in 1883 with the first building erected in This building was also used by the local School Board to house the school for some years. With expansion in the West, the congregation was first under the jurisdiction of the Presbytery of Manitoba, then the Presbytery of Brandon in 1885, Regina in 1886 and Calgary in In 1914 the Presbytery of Medicine Hat was constituted but in 1925 after only two congregations remained in The Presbyterian Church in Canada, the Presbytery of Medicine Hat was dissolved and St. John's was placed in the Presbytery of Calgary (later Calgary-MacLeod). 17 Melbourne, Ontario Guthrie Presbyterian Church Guthrie Presbyterian Church (Melbourne, Ont.) was established in 1925 by the non-concurring Presbyterians of the former Guthrie Presbyterian Church (est. circa 1873). The congregation began by meeting in the local Anglican church and then in 1928, the congregation purchased the old Presbyterian church building from the United Church. The Rev. 18 Merlin, Ontario Valetta Presbyterian Church Valetta Presbyterian Church (Merlin, Ont.) was organized in 1846 by the Rev. Sutherland of Ekfrid. The congregation began by meeting in the home of Angus Grant of Tilbury East (later Valetta). The Rev. Angus McColl was the first inducted minister in 1848 to the joint charge of Chatham and Tilbury East. The first log church was built in In 1857, Tilbury East (Valetta) was joined with Tilbury West (Knox) as a two point charge. The United Secession Church joined with Valetta in 1861 and a new church was built to accommodate the larger congregation. In 1888, Valetta and Fletcher were united as a two point charge. A brick church was finished and dedicated on June 19, The interior of the new church was damaged by fire in The union with Fletcher ended in 1925 as Valetta chose to remain a part of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, while Fletcher chose to enter the United Church of Canada. Following Union, Valetta was joined in a two point charge with New St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church, Dover. 21 Midland, Ontario Knox Presbyterian Church Knox Presbyterian Church (Midland, Ont.) was organized as a mission station in 1874 by Mr. R. Scott under the guidance of the Simcoe Presbytery. A church building was begun in 1878 and completed the following year. By 1882, Knox was part of a three point charge with Penetanguishene and Wyebridge. This unity was ended in 1884 when Knox separated with the Rev. David James as their minister. The congregation opened a new church in October of This building was torn down in 1902 and replaced by a new brick church which was completed in During the time of Church Union in 1925, Knox chose to remain a part of The Presbyterian Church in Canada. 22 Milan, Quebec Bethany Presbyterian Church See St. Paul s Presbyterian Church (Scotstown, Quebec) Bethany Presbyterian Church was formed in 1917 in Milan as a result of a split within the St. Luke's Presbyterian Church congregation in Hampden. The two churches then formed one congregation, but each had its own board of managers until the closure of St. Luke's Presbyterian Church in In 1925, when the United Church of Canada was formed, Bethany Presbyterian Church did not join and remained Presbyterian. In 1975, Bethany Presbyterian Church and St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Lake Megantic were merged with St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Scotstown, forming one congregation of three separate preaching stations with a common communion roll and session, and separate boards of managers. In 1980, the two churches were totally amalgamated with St. Paul's Presbyterian Church in Scotstown.
23 Millbrook, Ontario Grace Presbyterian Church See Centreville Presbyterian Church (South Monaghan, Ont.) Grace Presbyterian Church (Millbrook, Ont.) was established in On March 26, 1834, the Rev. James Douglas was inducted into the pastoral charge of Centreville and Millbrook. Millbrook and Centreville were separated in 1890 and Millbrook joined with Garden Hill as part of a two point charge. In 1896, the old brick church was destroyed by fire. A new church building was constructed and opened January 17, Prior to May 15, 1915, the church had been known as Millbrook Presbyterian Church, in 1915, the name was changed to Grace Presbyterian Church. Following Church Union in 1925, Grace Presbyterian chose to remain with The Presbyterian Church in Canada but Garden Hill chose to enter the United Church of Canada, thus their connection was severed. Grace Presbyterian then joined with Centreville. In 1998, Grace was fully amalgamated with Centreville Presbyterian Church (South Monaghan, Ont.).

25 Mill Creek, New Brunswick St. David's Presbyterian Church St. David s Presbyterian Church (Mill Creek, NB) appears for the first (not really) time in the Acts & Proceedings in 1926 (year ending 1925) under Sussex in the Presbytery of St. John. 26 Milton, Ontario Knox Presbyterian Church Knox Presbyterian Church, Milton was established in 1855 as a congregation of the Presbyterian Free Church. It began as a mission station of Boston Free Presbyterian Church, Esquesing, being formed by the members of the Boston congregation who lived in Milton. It was referred to as "Knox's" or the "Free Church" until it took the name of Knox Presbyterian Church in The first minister Rev. James Mitchell, served the Boston and Milton congregations from 1856 to The two congregations remained linked until 1887, when Knox became a self-supporting congregation. The Knox congregation built their first church (stone) on Martin Street, completed in A second (present) brick church at 170 Main Street East was completed in The Martin Street church was sold in In 1925 Knox voted (235 to 75) to remain within the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Knox shared some services with St. Paul's Methodist Church (later St. Paul's United), in 1918, in the early 1940s for economic reasons. Joint services with St. Paul's were also held on Sunday evenings in the 1950s. Hornby Presbyterian Church was established in 1838 and was linked at various times with Boston, Esquesing and Omagh. In 1930 Hornby was designated a Mission Field and under the care of Knox, Milton and in 1971, Hornby was amalgamated with Knox. 41 Molesworth, Ontario St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church St. Andrew s Presbyterian Church (Molesworth, Ont.) was established as a congregation in 1863 as part of a four point charge with Monkton, Atwood and Listowel. Attempts to organize a congregation had been made as early as A church building was constructed at Molesworth in The charge was separated in this year and Listowel and Molesworth remained together. They called the Rev. J. W. Bell to be their minister. The Presbytery of Stratford separated Molesworth and Listowel in 1876 and Molesworth united with the newly formed Trowbridge. Molesworth became a lone self-supporting congregation in A new church was dedicated in November 1897, it was at this time that the name St. Andrew s was chosen. During the time of Church Union in 1925, the majority of the St. Andrew s congregation chose to remain a part of The Presbyterian Church in Canada.
