2 Burning Bush Have you ever heard a story in the Bible about Moses? Do you know how God talked to Moses? (Through a burning bush) New Testament? (Old Testament book of Exodus) This story about Moses shows us that God wants to speak to us. Samuel Hears God s Voice Have you ever heard a story in the Bible about Samuel? One night, Samuel heard someone calling his name. He thought it was someone else in his house, but it was really God talking to him! When Samuel realized it was God talking, he listened and did what God said. New Testament? (Old Testament book of 1 Samuel) This story shows us that God wants us to listen to Him and do what He says. Sun Stand Still Have you ever heard the story about the time God made the sun stand still in the sky? It was amazing! God s people were fighting a battle and it was getting close to dark. They needed it to stay light so they could win the battle. God helped them by making the sun stand still in the sky! New Testament? (Old Testament book of Joshua) This story shows that God is powerful & wants to help us. Jars of Oil Does anyone know what happened in this story? A woman was out of money and her family was about to starve all she had left was a little jar of oil. God made her little bit of oil last until she had jars and jars of oil to sell. She was able to sell the extra oil and take care of her family! New Testament? (Old Testament book of 2 Kings) This story shows us that God takes care of us.

4 Ten Lepers Have you ever heard about the 10 guys that Jesus healed? Once there were ten guys who had sores all over their skin. They asked Jesus to heal them, and He did! Jesus can do that because He is God! The sad part is that only one of the guys said, Thank you. New Testament? (New Testament book of Luke) This story shows us that God can heal us when we re sick, and that He wants us to say, Thank you! Elijah Fed By Ravens Have you ever heard about the time God sent a bird to feed Elijah? God told Elijah to hide in the desert. While he was there, God sent ravens to bring Elijah bread and meat two times a day! Do you think this story is from the Old Testament or the New Testament? (Old Testament book of 1 Kings) This story shows that God will take care of us no matter where we are. Good Samaritan One time Jesus told a story about a good Samaritan. Do you know what it is? Jesus said there was a man lying on the side of the road because he had been beat up. Two people walked by him who should have helped him. Then a stranger came and helped him. Jesus said the stranger did what was right. New Testament? (New Testament book of Luke) God wants us to see that we should help hurt people, even if we don t know them. Dry Bones Do you remember the story in the Bible about the bones that came to life? One time, God told Ezekiel to preach to a valley of dry bones. As Ezekiel was preaching, the bones started coming back to life! New Testament? (Old Testament book of Ezekiel) God made those dry bones come to life so we would see that He can do impossible things!

6 Jesus Walks on Water Have you ever heard about the time Jesus walked on water? Jesus disciples actually saw him walk on water! Since Jesus is God, He can do amazing things like that. But Jesus also showed his friend Peter that if he believed, Peter could walk on water too! And Peter did! New Testament? (New Testament book of Matthew) God put this story in the Bible so we can see that He is powerful and we can believe what He says. Coin in the Fish s Mouth Have you ever caught a fish? Did you find a coin in its mouth? (No!) But it happened in the Bible! One day, Jesus told Peter to go to the lake and open the mouth of the first fish he caught. Inside the fish s mouth was the exact amount of money Peter needed! New Testament? (New Testament book of Matthew) This story is in the Bible to help us see that God will give us just what we need when we need it! Fiery Furnace Do you know the story of when God saved three friends from a fiery furnace? A king told all the people that they had to worship a gold statue. Three friends knew that bowing to a statue was not obeying God, so they did not bow down. The king was so angry that he threw them into a fiery furnace. But God sent an angel to protect them and they came out of the furnace without being burned at all! New Testament? (The Old Testament book of Daniel) Lazarus Have you ever heard the story of Lazarus from the Bible? Lazarus was dead for three days until Jesus showed up and brought him back to life! New Testament? (The New Testament the book of John) This story shows us that Jesus is God and that He is powerful enough to bring dead things back to life! This amazing Bible story shows us that God protects us and wants us to do what is right.

Can you remember what we need to know today? (The Bible Is The Most Amazing Book!) Lion Lions usually travel in groups of at least two. Can you remember the two things that each story in the Bible can show us? (WHO God is & HOW He wants us to live) Giraffe Giraffes have super long necks so they can see all kinds of things on the African plains. What would you be excited to see if you were in Africa? (Different animals, tribal people, etc.)

10 Hippo Hippos live in TWO places in the water AND on land! Can you think of the two parts of the Bible that we talked about today? (Old Testament and New Testament) Zebra Did you know that no two zebras have the same stripes? They are all different! Can you guess how many different books are in the Bible? (66) Rattlesnake Did you know that rattlesnakes have a tail that makes a rattling noise when something gets too close to them? What are some other animals you wouldn t want to get too close to on an African safari? (Lions, cheetahs, hippos, etc.) Crocodile Crocodiles can live to be up to 80 years old! Can you guess how old the oldest person in the Bible was? (Methuselah died when he was 969!)

12 Warthog Male warthogs have bumps on their heads that look like giant warts, but are actually there for protection. What kinds of things would you take on a safari for protection? (Weapons, phone, signal flare, sunscreen) Safari Jeep When you go on a safari, you ride in a jeep like this one. What would you do if your jeep stopped for a bathroom break and left before you got back on?! (Try to catch it, be scared, live out in the wild forever!) Binoculars Binoculars help us see wildlife up close in a way we ve never seen it before! What book can we read to get an up close look at who God is and how He wants us to live? (The Bible) Safari Hat A safari hat is used to protect you from the sun so that you don t get sunburnt. The Bible can also protect us by giving us instructions for how to live. What is one thing that the Bible tells us to do? (Obey our parents, be kind, help others, etc.)
