3 Family Activity List of Fears Have each member of your family members create a list of the fears that each of them have. Place them in a spot where your whole family can see them at for at least the duration of this series. Add these fears to your prayers everyday for Jesus to conquer them! Listen to God As a family, read the story of Jesus calming the storm found in Matthew 8. Then discuss these questions: What was Jesus doing when the storm came? o He was sleeping. (Verse 24) What did Jesus say to the disciples? o Why are you afraid? You have so little faith! (Verse 26) What are some fears that you have? Talk to God Pray this together as a family! Dear God, Thank you for your son Jesus. I am thankful that Jesus beats all my fears. Please remind me everyday that you are greater than all my fears. Amen.

Place this list along with the list of fears and continue to pray for these daily! Listen to God As a family, read the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000 found in Matthew 14. Then discuss these questions: What did Jesus tell his disciples to do when they asked him to send them home to eat? o You feed them. (Verse 16) What did Jesus feed the 5,000 with? o Five loaves of bread and two fish. (Verse 17) What are some real needs that you can pray and ask God to fulfill? Talk to God Pray this together as a family! Dear God, Thank you for your son Jesus. Thank you for knowing and meeting all my needs. Help me to trust you with my whole heart. Amen.

Then discuss these questions: Where was the paralyzed man lowered from? o From the roof. (Verse 19) Who was questioning what Jesus was doing? o The Pharisees. (Verse 21) God is a healing God. What hurts has he healed in your life? Talk to God Pray this together as a family! Dear God, Thank you for your love. Thank you for coming to earth to show us your power. Help me be still, and know that you are God. Amen.

During a break talk about the miracles that God has done in your lives, and even some that you have been a part of! Listen to God As a family, read the story of when Jesus walked on water found in Matthew 14. Then discuss these questions: Why didn t Jesus go with the disciples onto the lake? o He went to go pray. (Verse 23) Who walked out to Jesus on the lake? o Peter. (Verse 29) What miracles have you witnessed God do? Talk to God Pray this together as a family! Dear God, Thank you for your love. Thank you for coming to earth to show us your power. Help me be still, and know that you are God. Amen.

11 Family Activity Freeze Dance Party As a family, play freeze dance! You will have to listen extra closely to the music. Once it stops playing, freeze and don t dance until the music comes back on! Listen to God As a family, read the story of Balaam and the donkey found in Numbers 22. Then discuss these questions: What caused the donkey to leave the road? o The angel of the Lord stood in the way. (Verse 23) What did the donkey do after it was hit three times? o It began to talk. (Verse 28) What distracts you from listening to God? Talk to God Pray this together as a family! Dear God, Thank you for your teaching. Thank you for being patient with me. 13 Family Activity Play With Playdoh As a family go out and purchase some playdoh. Work together to build different things! See how many things you can create! Talk about how we re all like the playdoh and God is the one who shapes and changes us. Listen to God As a family, read the story of the 10 plagues found in Exodus Then discuss these questions: Who did God use to free his people? o Moses and Aaron. Which plague finally made Pharaoh let the Israelites go? o The 10 th plague. (12:31) How has God changed you in your life? Talk to God Pray this together as a family! Dear God, Thank you for creating me. Thank you for growing and molding me every day. Continue to grow and mold me to be more like Jesus. Amen.

17 Family Activity Nature Walk God created all the plants around the world! Take some time and take a walk either at a park or at a nature preserve and enjoy God s presence and his creation. Listen to God As a family, read the story of Moses and the burning bush found in Exodus 3. Then discuss these questions: Who spoke through the burning bush? o God. (Verse 4) Did the bush burn up at all? o No. (Verse 2) When was a time God helped you do something that was hard or scary? Talk to God Pray this together as a family!
