Cookbooks for sale in the LTC Foundation Office. A group of dedicated volunteers have come together to publish a cookbook filled with family favourites. Each recipe has been tested by the individual contributor. Some of the recipes may have originated with other sources or have been inspired by other recipes but all are sure to please. All proceeds from the cookbook will enable the Lodge to enhance the lives of the residents. We thank the Israeli Brunch committee and the committed community who contributed and share the love of the Lodge. Cookbooks are $25. Do you have your Hillel Lodge AirMiles Card? 5 We invite all residents, staff and volunteers to a play and discussion: The Silent Crime Presented by Jewish Family Services November 24, 2014 at Hillel Lodge 2:30 p.m. -4:30 p.m. The Pan-Canadian Elder Abuse Awareness Project is being run through Jewish Family Services. The main objective for this project is to raise as much awareness about elder abuse to the Ottawa Jewish Community as possible. The play is informative but as the same time the content is very light (given that this is a sensitive topic). Throughout the play there will be a few pauses where a narrator will engage the audience in a brief discussion on what they saw, the play will then resume. All of our actors are all dedicated volunteers, and as such are not professional actors. However, this makes the experience that much more fun and meaningful, given that all of the people involved are there because they want to be. We don t anticipate the play to run longer than 90 minutes. 5
