6 OT 2051 P age 6 QUESTIONS FROM GENESIS T or F 1. T or F 2. T or F 3. T or F 4. T or F 5. T or F 6. T or F 7. T or F 8. T or F 9. T or F 10. T or F 11. T or F 12. T or F 13. T or F 14. T or F 15. T or F 16. T or F 17. The Bible clearly indicates that, although God made man upright in the beginning, man has created many perverse ways of living. And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and it divide the waters from the waters.... And God called the firmament earth (Gen. 1:6-8). Man was created in the image of God. The Bible states that the serpent deceived Eve when he asked her to eat the forbidden fruit (Gen. 2:26). God set angels east of Eden, to keep the way of the tree of life (Gen. 3:24). In the flood, God destroyed all the animals on the earth and in the seas which were outside the ark. The flood waters came from heaven only. Men began to eat flesh only after the flood. Ham is the father of Canaan. By saying that Sarah was his sister, Abraham really created a serious problem for Pharaoh. Abram was 99 years old when he was circumcised. The first person circumcised on the eighth day after birth was Isaac. Isaac s wife came from Midian. Isaac s twin sons looked so much alike that the near-sighted old man mistakenly gave the birthright blessing to the wrong son. It was Rebekah s clever, evil idea for Jacob to deceive his own father, her husband Isaac. It was Rebekah s idea for Jacob to flee from Esau to Laban s house. At Laban s house, Jacob was treated very cruelly by Laban.

7 OT 2051 P age 7 Questions from Genesis, continued T or F 18. T or F 19. T or F 20. T or F 21. T or F 22. T or F 23. T or F 24. T or F 25. T or F 26. T or F 27. T or F 28. T or F 29. T or F 30. Jacob fathered 13 children. Amalek is a descendant of Isaac. Two of Jacob s sons, Simeon and Levi, deceived and killed all the men of Shiloh. Jacob s firstborn, Asher, committed incest with his father s concubine, Bilhah. Of all his children, Jacob s favorite was Joseph. Reuben was planning to rescue Joseph from his other brothers, but they sold Joseph into slavery before Reuben could do it. Joseph was cast into prison in Egypt, and he spent at least two years in there. After he was released from prison, Joseph married an Egyptian woman and had two sons. Joseph s Egyptian name was Zaphnath-paaneah. When his brothers came to Egypt for food, Joseph pretended not to understand their language. Jacob saw Joseph before he died, and he gave to Joseph the birthright that normally would have been given to Reuben. Joseph told the Israelites to carry his bones with them out of Egypt when God led them out of that country. And Pharaoh mourned for his son Zaphnath-paaneah, and built for him a monument in Goshen. The same is at Zoan in Goshen unto this day (Gen. 50:27).

8 OT 2051 P age 8 FROM EXODUS: WHO SAID THIS AND TO WHOM WAS IT SAID? 1 & 3. When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women... if it be a son, then ye Shall kill him. Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? Intendest thou to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian? 8 & 9. Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt? 10, 11, & 12. The God of the Hebrews hath met with us. Let us go, we pray thee... into the desert, and sacrifice unto the Lord our God, lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword. and 13 & 14. There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say unto us, Make brick. And, behold, thy servants are beaten, but the fault is with thine own people. 15 & 16. Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast. It is mine.

9 OT 2051 P age 9 17 & 18. Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? 19 & 20. Write this in a book... and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua. For I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. 21 & 22. Thou shalt not kill. (Who actually first spoke these words?) 23 & 24. Let not the anger of my lord wax hot. Thou knowest the people, that they are set on mischief. For they said unto me, Make us gods, which shall go before us. For as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.
