In completing the assignments, the learner thoroughly masters the content. The Bible IS our textbook, and Dr. Willmington s books are supplementary. Put your answers in your own words, a learning technique which facilitates learning. Record your answers on the following pages or on separate paper and keep all of it in your 3-ring notebook. This work will prepare you for the online quizzes for each lesson. o Biblical scholars hold to three primary views concerning the identity of the sons of God of 6:2: [1] They are angels (This is the oldest view) [2] They are royal personages (ancient view as well) [3] Godly men from the lineage of Seth. Which, if any, of the three views do you subscribe to and why?
5 Page 5 Old Testament Unit 1 o Sum up the message of Gen. 6:1-4 in a couple of sentences. What is the writer s intent for including this portion in Genesis? o A new section of Genesis begins at 6:9. Gen. 6:5-8 is the wrap-up paragraph of the present section. God s heart had been wounded to its depths. His love was spurned. One way to end this nightmare would be to undo what He had created except something stood in His way. What was it?
