2 2 a) Describe the sealing of the Sinai covenant (Ex 24:1-8) - Moses built an altar at the foot of mountain Sinai using 12 stones representing 12 tribes of Israel. - He sent young men to offer burnt and peace offering of oxen to Yahweh. - Moses divided the blood into two halves and poured it into basins. - He took half of the blood and poured it against the altar. - He read the book of covenant to the people. - The people responded that they would be obedient to God s law. - Moses took the remaining half of the blood and sprinkled it to the people. - - Moses told them that the blood had sealed their covenant with God. 7x1=7mrks b) State seven ways in which Israelites worshipped God in the wilderness. - They offered sacrifices to God. - Gave offerings to God/burnt incense. - Use of the Ark of the Covenant and tabernacle which they approached with respect. - Observed festivals e. g Passover, feast of weeks. - Built altar for God. - Observed the Sabbath. - Dedicated their male first borns to God. - Assembled at Mt.
