Genesis 6, Part 3 of Part 2 & Part 1 By Dan Baxley servant@yahshuaservant.com Sons of God Marry the Daughters of Men? This is a subject I think I have covered with enough simple logic and scripture to combat this false notion about angels marrying flesh, blood and bone women, but an article came out in a prominent Evangelical magazine that is fully entrenched in the Evangelical movement. Yes, they teach the doctrine of the Rapture, as opposed to the Biblical Resurrection, too. This too seems hard to believe when you see the truth they do present and the quality of their magazine, the Midnight Call. Here I will be taking issue with their teaching about Angels of God marrying flesh and blood women. This time I thought I would like to take a different approach I will not get into all of the in and outs but refer you to my two previous articles on this subject and then I will follow up with a small commentary on the four scriptural verses twisted to say something they do not say. In my previous articles on this subject I was a bit harsh, claiming the false doctrine is a doctrine of devils, but I make no apology for this, after all, what else could explain it? (1Ti 4:1) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; When you look at these few verses from Genesis they are clearly being twisted to say something they do not say. Now, let's take a look at these verses and see what they are really saying and how they have to be twisted or added to in order to make a case for the false doctrine circulating throughout the Evangelical movement. Go To: Angels Marry Women? Part 1 / Angels Marry Women? Part 2

GENESIS 6:1-4 What Does It Really Say? Gen 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, My Comment: Let s see, no mention of women? But these men that began to multiply had daughters. No mention of sons? Is that important? Not really as it is assumed an intelligent mind will understand you cannot have daughters without the fathers having a wife, or at least a girlfriend. Men do not have children of and by themselves, right? I don't think Evolutionist, even in all of their absurdities, try to tell anyone that daughters appear without mothers, right? Oh, yeah, wait, some of the brighter genesis' of Evolutionary Sciences are now suggesting "spontaneous" creation -- strike that last word, they would never use it, try, "spontaneous appearance". Anyway, you should get the point, the term "men" is likened to "mankind", all, women included, come from the "man" Adam and as a species, which includes the female gender, we are all from men. A woman cannot have a child with out some input from the man, one way or another. The point here, with this leading verse, is -- girls were coming forth from men and their women and this is leading us to the next verse, which is the point -- another type of man, or men called the "sons of God" began to focus on these daughters of these other men. This is our first interracial mixing, but more than that, the mixing of religion. Gen 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. My Comment: Here we see the sons of God taking a fancy toward the daughters of the other men, the fathers of the girls. It is assumed, by the false teachings on this subject, that the sons of God must be spirit beings, as that is what angels are, and are at times also called "sons of God". There is all kinds of things wrong with this view and is covered in my two articles on this. What we do see here is two types of men men and then sons. Here is a simple example to help understand that these sons are not angels. Read John 11:52 where the children of God, scattered abroad, and no one dare suggest these sons of God are angels -- (Rom 8:16) The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: (1 John 5:2, 1 John 3:10, Gal 3:26, Rom 9:26, 2 Cor 6:18) (Rom 9:8) That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

My Comment: Tell me you see it, please what is it that s makes a child of God? The acceptance of the Gospel Message of YaHshua as Savior. Children of the flesh are not, it is the children of the PROMISE that are COUNTED for the SEED. So, what we have in the world that was, were those counted for the seed, having heard and believed the Gospel (Jude 14-16) became the sons of god, separating them from other men. Certainly there is the other view, as I have elaborated on in Part 1 and Part 2, but since the New Testament and the presentation of our Savior to the World the Mystery is revealed, the Christ in us (Col 1:27), to the "sons and daughters of God", And that would be? Us! (2Co 6:17-18) Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (Heb 1:5) For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? Can it get any plainer? My comment: If we are children of God wouldn t this mean I can call myself a son of God? We know our Savior is the Son of God, and called him Father. Our Savior then instructs us to call to our Father in Heaven when we pray -- "Our father in Heaven, Holy is your Name...". In Hebrew 2:10-11 we are told our Savior is not ashamed to call us "brothers. Listen, the truth is, the sons of God in the world before were those that began to call on the Name of our God and knew the Gospel message of the coming plan of salvation, but they began to break ranks and marry outside of their beliefs. There is an alternate meaning also, and that has to do with Adam and his sons. Again, refer to my previous articles for some of my own speculation. Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. My Comment: In the Earth before, that is, before the flood, the Creator s Spirit was with men. In the Hebrew dictionary the Word strive has several meanings, rule, judge, minister, and plead. He withdrew His Spirit as it was a constant struggle and rejection. Man lived longer than we do today because His Holy Spirit was present as a force for life, this, of course is my opinion. But we see a point in the first Earth history where YAHWEH withdraws and then limits the years of man, recognizing man as only flesh. Apparently the long years made the people of then seem to think they were immortal. Even today men act and talk as if they are

immortal, speaking of mankind in terms of immortality refusing to acknowledge our degenerate condition. It is like humanity being in denial, just think how much stronger this delusion of immortality would be for those living to such extreme ages -- would not some begin to think they were as gods? Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. My Comment: Here is the verse that gets so twisted you have to think it is on purpose, or, is influenced by doctrines of demons (1 Tim 4:1, look it up). There were giants..., when? In those days and that is what it means, not that these giants were the product of the "sons of god" marrying daughters of men! It is a time set a marking of when this began to happen, of when those called the sons of God began to marry outside of their faith or outside of their birthright as leaders with a religious responsibility. Once these devout men began to break ranks and marry women not of their belief it would only be a matter of time when these wives would bring their false gods to the table. Men, like it or not, want to please their women. King Solomon, a "Mighty Man of renown" King Solomon, a very wise and blessed man. If the King had one weakness it was women, women outside of his own race and faith -- he liked alien women, so we have a good example of a son of God (Israel is called the children of God, and Kings recognized as picked by God -- John 10:34-35, Ps 82:6), a King of Israel, looking on foreign women with a lustful eye and taking them as wives -- Does this sound familiar (1 Kings 11:1-6), isn t this what Genesis 6 says? Seven hundred wives of royal blood and three hundred concubine, a thousand wives, daughters of other men, from other nations. So, what happened as Solomon, once a "son of God", King of Israel, ruler over the "children of God continued to collect wives, any he saw as fair (beautiful)? These wives, daughters of lower men, outside of the children of god, outside of the sons of God brought with them their false gods, customs and traditions. Reading the book of Kings and it becomes obvious the influence this outside source had, not only on King Solomon, but on all of Israel. Hounding King Solomon for equal rights in worship turned all of Israel into a very religious nation, a very tolerant nation of people full of religion.

We are told that as Solomon aged these foreign women managed to turned the mind of the King to other gods. That's right, these daughters of common men, not of the family of the God introduced the "children of God", through the King, to a variety of deities, customs and traditions, the most popular being Baal and Asheroth, the fertility god and goddess. Hard to believe but this new religious tolerance and acceptance was "Authorized by the King", the man once branded as the most wise of all men, a son of God fallen. Statues of wood and stone (idols) representing these false gods were set up in the Temple itself (read 2 Kings chapters for a quick review of how far Israel had slide, how the Temple was in disrepair, how false idols were set up within its walls and what Josiah did when the BOOK of the Covenant was rediscovered). In fact, at the end of King Solomon s rule, and for many years after, Israel was so religious they had nearly forgotten who YHWH was, in favor of all the other gods King Solomon had allowed into the Kingdom. The worship of the God of Israel became buried in the religious enthusiasm for other religions introduced by the daughters of men. Please take the time to read about the rediscovery of YHWH. Read how very religious the people were and how YHWH had been pushed aside. Read how the young King Josiah reconstituted the worship of YHWH and you will see how thoroughly the children of God had lost the worship of YHWH even though the Temple was in their midst (2 Kings 22-25). The Books of Moses were lost and rediscovered and the King Josiah (YosYaH), upon hearing the reading of the lost Books was cut deep into his heart that he set out to make things right. King Josiah began ripping into the false religions and restoring worship to YHWH. I see this as a parallel of the Christian Religion today. Christianity has been so flooded with pagan practices and customs as to lose the site of YHWH and of the true Christ, YaHshua, accepting, instead, another Christ they call Jesus. Keeping The Context (Gen 6:5) And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. My comment: This verse, following on the heels of verses 1-4 should be the end of the discussion. "And GOD saw that the wickedness of man..." -- "...the wickedness of man", can it possibly be any plainer? Not the "...wickedness of the angels...", but of man, man, man, mankind, men and no mention or even the slightest hint concerning "fallen angels". What is the context, then? "... and every imagination of

the thought of his hear only evil continually." Man's thoughts, man's heart -- no angels mentioned or even acknowledged. The verses in Genesis 6 have nothing to do with "fallen angels". Staying within the context of these verses, where does it say Angels are getting married and giving others in marriage? You have to ignore the surrounding verses and then you have to make an assumption that only angels are called sons of God, which, in the end is a lie. These verses are all about men and what they were doing men that were recognized as sons of God, perhaps as Christians today call themselves children of God and as the Israelites were call sons of God just as out Savior YaHshua reminded the Pharisees. (John 10:34-36) YaHshua answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? The heart of men is certainly evil and exhibits this historically and in minor ways as well. You can pick up a Bible dictionary and it will many times take the side of this fable from the pagans, "gods marrying human women" and having half-breed progeny. Make no mistake this is not a story about YaHshua and His birth. YaHshua was not half and half, god and man. He was all man, all flesh, just as we are and became something more. (John 1:14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. (Php 2:7-9) But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: (2Jn 1:7) For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that YaHshua the Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. He had a prior existence and came to us in the flesh not as half god and half man but all man, suffering as we do even to the point of death. He really did die and was brought back to life by the Higher Power revealed to us by Him as our Heavenly Father. This false teaching that angels married flesh and blood women and then had half-breed children that became giants is a twisting of the scripture and the ignoring of the context of Genesis 6 dealing with sinful man.

How is it, also, as mentioned before, that these sons of god are assumed to be angels that have fallen are still called, sons of God if this is all true, and not called sons of Satan? Even our Savior told the Pharisees they were of their father, Satan (John 8:44). Does anyone then assume Satan is having sex with women and spawning children? I imagine there will be some teaching even this. With a sound mind and the spirit of our Creator guiding us, we understand this expression used by our Savior was of the Spirit. These Pharisees accusing YaHshua of being from the devil were in fact following their spiritual father, Satan. Satan did not physically spawn the Pharisees. Again, we must let the context rule and consult the Scriptures for the correction in our understanding. Sons of the gods Believe YaHshua in His revelation that angels do not marry (Mark 12:25) and then you can see something is wrong with the Gen 6:1-4 and with a little research you will find the alternate translation of, "sons of the kings", as opposed to sons of God making more sense when you get literal with the KJV, "sons of god" the term for "god", in this case, is the Hebrew "elohim" (not YHWH) and the meaning is literally, "gods", so the KJV should read, "sons of gods", or sons of the gods. This would mean, if you accept the false teaching, that the "fallen angels" are sons of gods, as in, many gods. Even the Jewish scholars and commentators on this subject, teaching this false doctrine, ignore this simple fact the verse says, sons of Elohim which is plural and is translated, sons of the gods. Not all Jewish scholars support this false teaching about angels transforming themselves into flesh to wed and bed, but enough do to cause many in the Christian community to accept this idea as original. Approaching The End There you have it, again, with a few more observations. King Solomon is a prime example of what happened on the Earth before, with men of religious authority or ruler-ship, the kings of the time, or even the ruling class of Adams children, being influenced and tempted by women outside of their own faith or class. Women have a very spiritual nature, more so than men, and for this reason they are prey to every kind of "spirit". Satan went after Eve for a reason. He had plenty of time to assault Adam but found it easier to get to Eve and through Eve to Adam. We see another example in the story of Elijah. Everyone knows the story of Jezebel and how she sought to kill Elijah (Eli- Jah, means; My God is YaH). She

was the Queen of Israel, but not an Israelite. She married the King of Israel, Ahab, and brought her false gods with her, her primary god being Baal (Baal means; Lord, or Master) It would seem the Children of God, the Israelites, or, at least, the men of Israel have a weakness for foreign women. This is the very thing (the secret to the men of Israel's weakness) the prophet Balaam gave to King of Moab, Balac, as a method of corrupting the Children of Israel as they were about to cross the Jordan threatening to over run the children of Moab -- see Numbers 25:1 and Numbers 31:18. Balaam refused to put a curse on the children of Israel but eventually revealed the weakness of the children and of the Mighty Men before the YHWH. Apparently Israelite women were plain (by Moabite standards), by comparison to the made up and haughty women of the sex temples of Moab and when the "Mighty men" of Israel saw the daughters of Moab as beautiful and took of them any they desired. To stop this insult many of Israel's mighty men came to their end and when the invasion finally commenced the king of Moab, along with Balaam were killed. Man's Natural Desire When a man s natural desire is to please his woman, or women in some cases, what usually happens if she is of a different religion? Genesis tells us a man leaves his father and mother and clings to his wife (to please her), this is a natural instinct of men (Gen 2:24). Looking back at the account of Adam and Eve we see Eve introducing Adam to a false religion (so to speak), by listening to another word, lying words, mixed with the words of YHWH. As opposed to what the Creator had told them they chose to go with words added to His word putting a subtle twist on the truth. In the true religion they originally did not question His word as truth, their faith rested in believing their Creator, YHWH, eventually, however, choosing to listen to a lesser authority, Satan. Here, then, is another example of a son of God, Adam, falling under the influence of a woman. Make no mistake, Adam is guilty as sin -- he was standing right next to Eve, and while she took the temptation, accepting the idea YHWH may have not told the truth, doubting YHWH's words, she turned to Adam, standing right next to her and gave him the fruit to eat also, and he did not refuse, he ate too. Imagine -- Adam is listening to the conversation Eve is having with the Representative of Satan and not saying a word, Eve says, "Here my

husband, eat", and he does. Maybe it was more like this, "Here husband, worship this way", and he did. Later Adam blames YHWH for his trouble, he says it was the woman s fault, you know That woman you gave me..., he says. He blames His Creator, YHWH. If only He had not given him the woman poor Adam, but it was he that let the woman wear the pants, he was the first hen pecked husband. Make no mistake all of us, all men, are as guilty as Adam -- and all women as guilty as Eve. Understand Genesis 6 is to believe what our God, the God of Israel, and now our Savior is saying and has said is true. Believe Him, believe His words, they are true, but for some reason (you be the judge), there are those teachers of renown teaching this false doctrine of spirits (1Tim 4:1) having sex with human wives, giving birth to giants how absurd! Read your bible, see the truth, believe what it says, not what you imagine it says and if you want to speculate don t try to twist the Scriptures to fit your pet theory or speculation. When someone gives you a verse that smashes your speculation to pieces (your mind idol?) accept it. Remember, it is not about winning or losing arguments, it is about having the faith in the Word, believing our Heavenly Father and His Son, YaHshua. Let every man be a liar but the Living God true (My paraphrase) (Romans 3:4). Keep it Real Opinions and speculations can be fun, even lending to keeping interest up in the study of the Word, but we cannot forget, speculation is speculation and your opinion is your opinion but the Word of God is the deciding factor. You should be adjusting your opinions and your speculations to the Word, not the other way around, as we seem to see modern teachers doing today, not all, of course, but enough. They follow the methods of Satan, first they tell you some truths then once they get you to doubt what you think or have heard or read in the Word, then they give you an opinion that is more pleasing to you and your wants and desires and lusts, things to satisfy your flesh, and suddenly you are hooked into thinking "outside of the Book" -- this is Satan's method of self-improvement and there are many that go his way just like Adam and Eve. Don t be afraid to accept Scripture for what it says and don t be quick to speculate your opinion about things you know nothing about -- wonder, think, even think out loud, but wait on the Word for the answer. Do not be quick to grab hold of an idea just because some one more (or you think) important than you says it must be so,

this misdirection gets a lot of sincere people in trouble, they grab hold of something that tweaks their imagination and won t let it go, even if Scripture says they are wrong, they join in with others in trying to use the Scriptures to prove their fancy idea. False thinking is to assume everything is possible and by this ultimate answer the Word of the Living God is made unreliable -- because, among men, everything is not possible, only our Creator has that option. All things are only possible with our God, YHWH, not for us creatures of the flesh, creatures of limitations. We are limited we are but dust and are perishing by the thousands every day. It is only by the option of our Creator that we are offered Life beyond the grave, beyond the return to dust. Flesh and blood cannot "inherit" the Kingdom and there, all things considered, we have our ultimate limitation -- these bodies of flesh die. We should not be in fear of those that can destroy the flesh, as that is going to happen anyway, with or without the aide of other men, but we should fear the one that has the power to destroy both, the flesh as well as the spirit. Our only hope of achieving the impossible is by YaHshua, through whom we will receive new Spirit bodies fit for the Kingdom to come. (1 Jn 3:2, Php 3:21, 1 Cor 15:42-44) I have heard so many twisted views and opinions and doctrinal teachings concerning this business about spirit angels taking flesh and blood women as wives. Where in the Scripture are we ever told spirits can marry flesh? Immediately they point to the single verse, a KJV error, and build off of this single verse. Where in Scripture does it ever say this union of angel and human woman gave birth to giants? Never, only by twisting Genesis 6, after altering the word to make it say something it does not say. Here is the example of just such an error, "and giants were born to them" -- this has to be deliberate for the written word is precise in this: (Gen 6:4) There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. That is the verse as it appears in you KJV bible. What follows is how it appears in the magazine, MidNight Call, (Issue August 2010, page 12, second column) (Gen 6:4) The same became mighty men (Nephilim) which were of old, men of renown. See what they did? By interjecting Nephilim they are planting the idea these mighty men, or "Giants" are the product of the angel/human union, and they drop (change) the very beginning of this verse to fit their idea, or what they imagine. I

will not quote the whole article, but it is clear from the article this is what they teach. Look close at the verse, look at what it really says and is saying -- In the original it does not say the mighty men were the Nephilim but it does say that when the Nephilim were on the earth, in those days, these mighty men were stepping out of bounds. Look again, these were mighty men of old, men of renown, not Nephilim, but men that lived a long time, sons of Adam and Eve (of old) living long lives, famous men (men of renown), not angels, not half breeds of angel/man, but MEN -- and when was all this happening? When there were "Nephilim" (giants) on the earth. No where does it ever say these Nephilim (giants) were their children, no where! Also, with the original writing, it does not say the Nephilim are men. There were giants in those days? Giant what? Dinosaurs? In the Book of Numbers, as mentioned before, this term is used in referring to a family of 'giants' or Nephilim and from this you could say it is possible Genesis 6, Nephilim, is also referring to men, but still, it could be making reference to giant animals as well. Are you product of an angel? Are you the child of an Angel? Let the Word of God Speak --- (John 1:12) But as many as received him, to them gave he powerto become the sons of God, evento them that believe on his name: Strike Number Three This is my third try at explaining this and I m running out of arguments and encouragements for you to receive and study the truth concerning this matter. If you can think of something to add to this understanding or you think you have found an error or a correction, please write and let me know. Reread the verse I just quoted closely and ask yourself -- Who has the power? He gave this to whom? Is it by having angelic sex with humans? What seems to be one of the requirements? Is it making sense now? Do angels have the ability to procreate? The answers seem obvious don't they? When you stay within the realms of the written words, letting the Scriptures and the sound doctrine of His words to us, the seeming contradictions take care of themselves. It is all true, it is the proper dividing of the truth we seek and with the help of the Holy Spirit we can and will be able to do this. A Caution and Instruction -- 1 Cor 7:20

If you are still stuck go back to Genesis 6:5 and see the context of the verses leading up to why YHWH is about to destroy man by a great flood. It is all about mankind and their wickedness, not the angels. Remember, as children of God you are sons of God, and daughters of God too. You are not angels and many of the sons and daughters of God, in this and other generations have taken mates of other faiths and have, at times, been led off away from their first love, YaHshua. I pray this does not happen, or has not happened to you. In the Messiah we have been given the power to survive this influence. Some are called while in a mixed religious atmosphere, or by the very nature of their awakening, their calling, can no longer agree with the religion they are presently in, creating a religious separation within the marriage union. It is not for those finding themselves in this situation to separate themselves but to live at peace as long as possible, and for as long as the offending mate wishes to stay in the marriage, for how do we know, by our honorable actions in the true Christ, YaHshua, if we might be the cause for the offending mate to convert, not that we should abandon our calling. Read carefully the instructions concerning this, for us today. (1Co 7:13-15) And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace. KJV (1Co 7:13-15) And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace. NIV The last part of this discussion was added to answer, in advance, anyone thinking the account of Genesis 6 is a warning to use against mixed marriage or mixed religious marriage. Many have been called while a member of a false religion and this should give us a hint at what our Creator and Savior is doing or wants done. This idea of the sons of God being true believers has its problems also. It makes it sound like these true believers began to marry outside of their faith, thus being a sin. This, however, seems a little off to me. In my opinion I believe the proper translation, sons of elohim, meaning the sons of the gods, as mentioned earlier explains it all. There are other theories and speculations but the teaching concerning angels is totally twisted and leads to several other paths leading away from the truth.

I hope and pray this article has been of value and encouragement to you and if you have questions do not hesitate to write. Peace to you in His Name, your servant Dan
