1 Tongues as of Fire Why Fire? Genesis 5:8-8 (NKJV) 8 And he said, "Lord GOD, how shall I know that I will inherit it?" 9 So He said to him, "Bring Me a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon." 0 Then he brought all these to Him and cut them in two, down the middle, and placed each piece opposite the other; but he did not cut the birds in two. And when the vultures came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away. Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, horror and great darkness fell upon him. Then He said to Abram: "Know certainly that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them, and they will afflict them four hundred years. And also the nation whom they serve I will judge; afterward they shall come out with great possessions. 5 Now as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age. 6 But in the fourth generation they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete." 7 And it came to pass, when the sun went down and it was dark, that behold, there appeared a smoking oven and a burning torch that passed between those pieces. 8 On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying: "To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the River Euphrates-- God manifested as a Smoking Oven and a Burning Torch Fire Exodus :-6 (NKJV) Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, "I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn." So when the LORD saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, "Here I am." 5 Then He said, "Do not draw near this place. Take your sandals off your feet, for the place where you stand is holy ground." 6 Moreover He said, "I am the God of your father--the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God. God manifested as a Flame of Fire Exodus :0- (NKJV) 0 So they took their journey from Succoth and camped in Etham at the edge of the wilderness. And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people. God manifested as a Pillar of Fire

2 Exodus :9-0 (NKJV) (Egyptians at Red Sea) 9 And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them. 0 So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cloud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that the one did not come near the other all that night. God manifested as a Light (Fire) by night between Israel and Egypt God faced Israel (Light) and had His back to Egypt (Darkness). Habakkuk :- (AMP) God [approaching from Sinai] came from Teman [which represents Edom] and the Holy One from Mount Paran [in the Sinai region]. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! His glory covered the heavens and the earth was full of His praise. And His brightness was like the sunlight; rays streamed from His hand, and there [in the sunlike splendor] was the hiding place of His power. Bright sunlight ray streamed from God s hands the hiding place of His power. Is it any wonder Jesus laid His hands on people. The Devil drove spikes in them. Ezekiel 8:- (NKJV) And it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house with the elders of Judah sitting before me, that the hand of the Lord GOD fell upon me there. Then I looked, and there was a likeness, like the appearance of fire--from the appearance of His waist and downward, fire; and from His waist and upward, like the appearance of brightness, like the color of amber. He stretched out the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my hair; and the Spirit lifted me up between earth and heaven, and brought me in visions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the north gate of the inner court, where the seat of the image of jealousy was, which provokes to jealousy. And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, like the vision that I saw in the plain. God manifested as Fire like the appearance of fire--from the appearance of His waist and downward, fire; and from His waist and upward, like the appearance of brightness, like the color of amber. His face is full of His Glory Moses could not see His face and live (Ex :0) Malachi :- (NKJV) "For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up," Says the LORD of hosts, "That will leave them neither root nor branch. But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves. You shall trample the wicked, For they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet On the day that I do this," Says the LORD of hosts. The SUN not SON of Righteousness With healing in His wings Wicked shall be ashes under your (Our) Feet. Why ashes under OUR feet???

When all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces. God Consummates the Tabernacle with His Glory (Fire) Only Once Dedication of the Temple Chronicles 7:- (NKJV) When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the temple. And the priests could not enter the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD'S house. When all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD on the temple, they bowed their faces to the ground on the pavement, and worshiped and praised the LORD, saying: "For He is good, For His mercy endures forever." God Consummates the Temple with His Glory (Fire) Only Once Dedication of the Body of Christ Acts :- (NKJV) When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. As the Holy Spirit came to fill the believers, a manifestation appeared Fire

4 Then What Temple Will He Dwell In? Acts 7:-5 (AMP) (Stephen sermon) Our forefathers had the tent (tabernacle) of witness in the wilderness, even as He Who directed Moses to make it had ordered, according to the pattern and model he had seen. 5 Our forefathers in turn brought it [this tent of witness] in [with them into the land] with Joshua when they dispossessed the nations which God drove out before the face of our forefathers. [So it remained here] until the time of David, 6 Who found grace (favor and spiritual blessing) in the sight of God and prayed that he might be allowed to find a dwelling place for the God of Jacob. 7 But it was Solomon who built a house for Him. [I Kings 6.] 8 However, the Most High does not dwell in houses and temples made with hands; as the prophet says, 9 Heaven [is] My throne, and earth the footstool for My feet. What [kind of] house can you build for Me, says the Lord, or what is the place in which I can rest? 50 Was it not My hand that made all these things? 5 You stubborn and stiff-necked people, still heathen and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you are always actively resisting the Holy Spirit. As your forefathers [were], so you [are and so you do]! God never desired to live (dwell) in man-made buildings He wants something He makes suitable to dwell in The Holy Spirit to dwell in. But you resist Him form dwelling in you. The Holy Spirit is pounding at their Door Let Me In!!! Acts 7:- (NKJV) Then Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, "Men of Athens, I perceive that in all things you are very religious; for as I was passing through and considering the objects of your worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Therefore, the One whom you worship without knowing, Him I proclaim to you: God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. He did not say God doesn t dwell in temples just not ones made with hands You are the temple of God Corinthians 5:7-8 (NKJV) 7 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 8 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, You were made a New Creation a new creature altogether (AMP) Creation (k tis is) A translation of this word can be Building, New Building

5 Ephesians : (AMP) And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God's image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness. Created (ktaomai) (through the idea of the proprietorship of the manufacturer); to fabricate, i.e. found (form originally) :- create, Creator, make. Ephesians :0 (AMP) 0 For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]. He has built his own temple to dwell in a building He Fabricated and Manufactured it you!! Your fit to live in!!! John : (KJV) Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Cor :7- Old Testament Glory in the face of Moses Ex :9-5 Corinthians :5-7 (NKJV) 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus' sake. 6 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. New Testament Glory in the face of Jesus We have this Glory in earthen vessels (The Holy Spirit) Corinthians 6:9-0 (AMP) 9 Do you not know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit Who lives within you, Whom you have received [as a Gift] from God? You are not your own, 0 You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body. You are His temple now Our bodies are not ours to do with what we want it s the temple of God. Corinthians :6-7 (AMP) 6 Do you not discern and understand that you [the whole church at Corinth] are God's temple (His sanctuary), and that God's Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you [to be at home in you, collectively as a church and also individually]? 7 If anyone does hurt to God's temple or corrupts it [with false doctrines] or destroys it, God will do hurt to him and bring him to the corruption of death and destroy him. For the temple of God is holy (sacred to Him) and that [temple] you [the believing church and its individual believers] are. We are the Temple of God Collectively and Individually! Its Holy and Sacred to Him It s Todays Holy Of Holies

6 Corinthians :- (NKJV) But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free-- and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. For in fact the body is not one member but many. We are one body We are one temple consummated at Pentecost. One fire one consummation one temple the body of Christ.
