1 Tabernacle Teaching Outline Mark Jantzi I. Introduction: A. The House of God is the human soul, not brick, mortar, stone, wood. I Cor. 3:16-17, I Cor 6:19, Acts 7:44-50 (Is 66:1-2), Jer. 31: B. The Tabernacle Pattern: Exodus 26:30 & 25:40, Heb. 8:5 C. Outer Court Perimeter Dimensions (Cubits): 50 x 100 = = The Number of Sonship. 1. Judges 7: Gideon: From 32,000, to 10,000, to Genesis 6:15-16: Noah s Ark 300 x 50 x 30, 3 stories D. God makes things in THREES: God = Father, Son, Holy Spirit Man = Spirit, Soul, Body Churches: Rev 12 = Manchild, Woman, Moon 1. Tabernacle in 3 Parts: The salvation of a man s soul is the complete salvation of the whole man. a. Eternal Life = Outer Court: John 3:15-16, 36; 6:40,47; Mark 16:16; Romans 10:9-11; Luke 23:43 (the thief of the cross). b. Progression of Salvation = Holy Place: Romans 13:11 salvation is nearer ; Phil 2:12 work out your own salvation ; John 3:3-5 born again to see ; born of Spirit and water to enter the kingdom of God (the holy place). c. Fullness/Perfection = Holy of Holies: 1 Peter 1:5 salvation ready to be revealed in the last time ; and Rev 12:10 Now is come salvation 2. Tabernacle has three Barriers/portals. a) Gate: (4439) wing of folding entrance. The gate has four pillars of wood covered by brass (judgement) in brass sockets, with silver tops. Entrance to the outer court. See Ex 27:14-16 and 38:14-15, 19; NT: Luke 13:24+ and Matthew 7:13-14, 21+ b) Door: (2374) John 10:7 Jesus I am the door. Entrance to the holy place (the kingdom of God). Five pillars (ministry): wood covered with silver (redemption) in brass sockets. 1

[Vail (2571) cover or hide. 2 Cor 3:13-16 over mind/heart]. Four pillars of wood (humanity) overlaid with gold (the nature of God), set in silver (redemption) sockets. The entrance to the Holy of Holies (The Most Holy). Genesis 3:24 guarded by Cherubim, and a flaming sword which turned every way (four), to keep the way of the tree of life. (Paradise/to live forever). We can enter only by tribulation and through fire. Cherubim were embroidered on this veil in the tabernacle to the Holy of Holies. The Tabernacle represents: 1) The Church, 2) The Human Body, and 3) The Body of Christ. Seven Pieces of Furniture (works) to bring man into perfection. A. The Brazen Altar The First Work: Justification by Faith. The place of the shedding of the blood for the remission of sins. The cross of Jesus Christ. 1. Death of 1) Sin and 2) to the carnal man: 1 Cor. 15:50; Gal 6:8; Rom. 8:6; Col. 3:3. 2. Changed by Fire: Bull (carnal) --- Steak (food) --- Priest (life) B. The Brazen Laver The Second Work *made from the women s brass looking glasses the end of vanity]. The laver symbolized three things: 1. Sanctification to be made clean by washing with water. Eph. 5:26 and John 15:3. 2. Consecration dedicated to a specific purpose, i.e. making holy and having no other purpose. 2 Cor. 6: Baptism (Three Baptisms) Hebrews 6:

3 III. a. Water Natural - Identifies you with death, burial and resurrection with Christ. Romans 6:3-10 death to the old man, the body of sin. Water baptism is by immersion and is done by a man. b. Holy Spirit Spiritual It is done by Jesus and is only given to people who are saved (born again). Immersion in the HS. Acts 2:4; 4:31; 10:44-48; 19:5-6 and Matt. 3: c. Baptism into Christ Fullness Done by the Holy Spirit. 1 Cor 12:13; Gal 3:27; 1 Cor 10:1-4; Gal. 3:27; Rom. 6:3-8. This is the Death of Self. Abraham s sacrifice of Isaac; any thing or person that comes between you and God. See Genesis 22: 2,4,6,10,11. Christ in me Col. 1:27 and Rom. 8:9-10 vs. Me in Christ Rom. 8:1 and Col. 3:3 (1-4). Entering the Holy Place. Five (Ministry) Pillars with Four (Testing, trial, tribulation) openings. Jesus is the Door; we must come in through Him. This is the entrance to the Kingdom of God. See John 3:3-6+ A. Three levels of the Word: 1. Natural Spiritual Fullness 2. Sea Earth Heaven See Rev. 12:12 and 21:1 3. Rest: a. Natural the 7 th Day Fulfilled Matt. 5:17-18 b. Spiritual - Fulfilled in Christ Heb. 4:3 ++ c. Fullness - The 7 th Millennium Rest Rev. 20: Three Kinds of Church: OC, HP, HH (not yet manifested). Moon, Woman, Manchild (not yet manifested). 5. Three Elijah s a. Natural Mal. 4:5-6 b. Spiritual Matt. 11:11-15 c. Fullness Matt 17:10-13 B. Golden Lampstand The third Work This is In Christ, inside the door; Jesus is the door. Progression from Sin life to Self life to Christ life (Holy Place). This is the Body of Christ universal. 3

4 You no longer identify as denomination or church. 1. Structure Vine and Branches John 15:5 There are six branches (the number of man). Three on each side (divine order), center lamp is Christ (7 th ). They are level on the top the spirit of man in equality/ perfection with Christ. Eph. 2:6 raised us up together John 12:32 if I be lifted up from the earth He is the head, we are the body. 2. Three Ingredients: a. All of pure Gold The Nature of God b. Oil The Holy Spirit Perfecting Man s spirit. c. Wick Humanity Prov. 20:27 The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord. 3. This is the life of the Spirit 2 Peter 1:4 We may be partakers of the divine nature. The human nature is changed to the divine nature, a future event. Perfection will come to a body of people (first-fruits company), not an individual. Worship the head, not the body. C. Table of Shewbread The Fourth Work. See Ex. 25: Dimensions are 2 x 1 cubic (length X width) and 1 ½ cubit height. It is wood covered by gold (the purity of the Spirit working through man) with a double crown border (kingship plus suffering) loaves of bread. We feed on Christ in 3 dimensions: a. The Christ within - John 6:51 I am the living bread. The Jews became the broken bread to bring us Jesus + bible b. The body of Christ (true believers), living and passed on. Assembling ourselves together, agreeing on earth we are the spiritual Israel to bring the bread of life 2 a dying world. We will eat from one another, not from the unclean. Eat the word until we become the word. c. Feed on Christ in the 3 rd dimension His presence everywhere in our homes and lives Loaves speak of Completion, Perfection, Divine Ruling: a. Rev. 22:2 12 manner of fruit. b. Rev 21:14 12 apostolic foundations. Vs = 12 stones. 4

5 c. Rev 12: natures of life (names of the 12 tribes) 3. Eating is absorbing. Eve ate of the knowledge of good and evil. She fell from God consciousness to Self-consciousness. From life to death. 4. Eating Clean - Lev 11:3 a. Cloven Hoof The way one walks: balance of Spirit and Word. b. Chewing the Cud - The way one absorbs the word. 5. Unclean Imitations: a. Swine: The walk is good but the doctrine is bad. b. Camel: Chews the cud but does not have a true cloven hoof (it is semi-cloven), walks on nails. His word is good but his lifestyle is not clean. See John 4:31-34 my meat is to do the will of Him John 7:16-17 My doctrine is not mine, but His 6. Unclean Birds type: a. Predators such as hawks, owls, eagles. Prey on human souls Rev. 18:13. False doctrine of transubstantiation (John 6:53). 1 Tim 4:1-4 and 5: Tim 3 (all) and 4:3-4 Matt. 24: 5 and 24 Eph. 4:14 b. Scavengers such as vultures, ravens, crows (Unlike the clean dove). These feed on dead doctrines; doctrines of divisions. c. Birds of the night Lev.11: Those who specialize in the study of darkness. d. Creeping Birds - Lev. 11:20. Birds that cannot fly, cannot rise off of the earth into the heavens. 5

6 IV. Golden Altar and Tabernacle from Exodus to Revelation Mark Jantzi 12/26/15 6/4/16 A. Exodus 30: 1-10 Golden Alter Instructions for construction and use. Gold Covering Wood Horns speak of compulsion, force; (sprinkled with blood). The Offering of the Self nature of the Soul. Outer Court is Flesh offering & subjugation. Lev. 16:12-13 Censor, coals, incense. Lev. 16:29-30 Its use on the Day of Atonement (10 th day of 7 th month). Lev. 10:1-7 Death at the Golden Altar The offering of strange fire. Hebrews 9:1-4 - It is called the golden censer and it is found in the most holy place behind the veil (The veil now rent and the blood sacrifice of Christ having been made & finished). B. Golden Alter in Revelation 4:6-11 The souls of the redeemed before the Throne of God (having been sacrificed at the golden altar). Revelation 12 The Woman Church is a type of the Golden Altar Church- Christ being formed in the womb (soul). Revelation 6: Opening the 5 th Seal - Martyred souls cry for vindication. Revelation 8:1-5 - Opening the 7 th Seal Prayers of the saints are offered with incense by the angel s censer. This follows the sealing of the 144,000. Revelation 9: Sounding the 6 th Trumpet The voice (prayers) from the four horns of the golden altar is what called the 6 th angel to release the 4 angels bound At the River Euphrates. Revelation 11:1-2 Golden Altar and worshippers are measured outer court separated out. (These witnesses also lay their lives down v 7.) The final 42 months, 1,260 days, 3 ½ years. 6

7 C. The Temple in Revelation Revelation 11:19 Sounding 7 th Trumpet Heavenly temple opened, ark of covenant is seen. (Note Rev 10:7 days of the voice of the 7 th angel ). Revelation 14:14-20 Angels seen from the temple and from the altar the beginning of the judgment harvest of the earth. Revelation 15:5 The heavenly temple is opened. Revelation 15:8 The temple is closed. Preparation for the pouring out of vials. Revelation 16:1 - Great voice from the temple, pour out the first vial. Revelation 16:17 Angel pours out 7 th vial, great voice from temple saying. It is done. Revelation 21:3 the tabernacle of God is with men. Revelation 21:22 New Jerusalem, the Heavenly City is seen; there is no temple. The Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple. V. Early History of the Ark and Mercy Seat The first ark was Noah Gen. 6:14 The second ark was for the baby Moses Ex. 2:3 A. Construction of the ark of the Tabernacle Ex. 25:10-2 Gold covered wood; size 2 ½ x 1 ½ x 1 ½ cubits, Mercy Seat: two cherubims facing, wings touching. B. Ministry of Moses 1. Exodus 33: Numbers 7:89 C. Ministry: Aaron Lev. 16: Ex 25:21-22 God s dwelling between the cherubim. 2. Ex 40:34-36 Residence of the glory cloud. 3. Kohathites to bear it Num. 4:15 4. Priests to cover it for moving Num. 4:5-6 D. What is inside the Ark? Hebrews 9:4 7

8 1. Deut. 10:1-5 Tables of Law on stone installed. 2. Deut. 31:25-26 Book of the law placed beside the ark. 3. Ex. 16:33-34 Pot of Manna installed. 4. Num. 17:1-10 Aaron s rod installed 5. 2 Chron. 5:10 Only Stone Tablets of Law when moved to Solomon s Temple E. Moving the Ark 1. Numbers 10: Finding a resting place. 2. Numbers 14:44 Ark did not move from the camp 3. Deut. 1:33 Accompanied by Fire and Cloud. F. Joshua and the ark. 1. Joshua 3 & 4 Priests cross the Jordan with the ark 2. Joshua 6 The priests carry the ark around Jericho- its fall. VI The Ark and Tabernacle in the Promised Land (West of the Jordan) A. Tabernacle and Ark at first camp in Gilgal Joshua 4&5 (About 7 yrs) B. Ark in Shiloh with Eli Joshua 18:1 & 1 Sam. 3:21 (369 years) 1. Taken into battle from Shiloh to Aphek 1 Sam 4:4 2. Eli and Sons die; Shiloh probably destroyed by Philistines. Forsaken by God: Psalms 77:55-64, Jer. 7:11-18, 26: Sacred things salvaged (by Samuel) moved to Nob C. 1 Sam. 4:11 Ark Taken by Philistines from Aphek. (7 months) 1. Ashdod House of Dagon Father of Baal (see illustration) men smitten. 2. Gath men smitten. [Home of giants, Goliath. David lived here briefly with King Ackish] 3. Ekron plague and death from the Ark Sam. 6:10-11 Sent from Ekron to Israel on a cart drawn by dairy cows. 5. Ark did not visit but these cities were affected by the Ark: a. Ashkelon Home of goddess Directo (Mother of Semiramis) (see illustration) aka Aphrodite. Judges 14:19, it was here that Samson killed 30 men for their clothes. 8

9 b. Gaza - Samson slept with harlot here then awoke and removed the city gates. Samson died here pulling down the pillars of their house (great sacrifice to Dagon), Judges 16. D. Ark Returned to Israel on a wooden cart pulled by 2 milk cows men of Bethshemesh smitten for looking in 1 Sam. 6: Sam. 7:1 Taken to house of Abinadab in Kirjahjerim for 20 years (until Samuel got the people to repent). This was in Gibeah region. Son, Eleazer assigned to keep the ark. Note: The Ark was actually here between 70 and over 100 years. E. David wants to move the ark to Mount Zion (In Jerusalem) 1. Two sons of Abinadab Uzzah and Ahio attempted to move it by oxcart, David rejoicing before it Sam 6:3-5 Uzzah smitten when he touched the ark Sam. 6:10 Ark with Obededom for 3 months. Then carried by Levites to Jerusalem with great rejoicing. F. Tabernacle of David 1. Is. 16:5 - The throne of Christ to be established here. 2. Amos 9:11 To be raised up again. 3. Acts 15:1 Quoted by James, to extend the kingdom to Gentiles. As David, all men will have access to the mercy seat of God. G. Moved to Solomon s Temple Ark from Mt Zion and the Tabernacle pieces from Gibeon- 2 Chron 1:3-4. The Tabernacle had been moved here from Nob, after Saul had slaughtered 85 priests (all kindred of Eli) and all the rest of the city. (1 Sam. 21:1and 22:11-19) 1. 2 Chron. 35:3 Restored in the days of Josiah 2. Jer. 3:16 Last prophetic mention of the Ark, not seen or mentioned again after this. Saved and hidden from Babylonian capture or destruction 3. Ark (spiritual) Seen in Heaven Rev. 11:19 Note: The Lampstand and the Table of Shewbread were taken by the Romans to Rome after the destruction of Jerusalem by Titus in 70 AD, with other treasures, but apparently not the golden altar or the ark. 9
