3 PSALM 8:1-9 1 Lord, our Lord, how magnificent is your name throughout the earth! You have covered the heavens with your majesty.

4 PSALM 8:1-9 2 From the mouths of infants and nursing babies, you have established a stronghold on account of your adversaries in order to silence the enemy and the avenger.

5 PSALM 8:1-9 3 When I observe your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you set in place,

6 PSALM 8:1-9 4 what is a human being that you remember him, a son of man that you look after him?

7 PSALM 8:1-9 5 You made him little less than God and crowned him with glory and honor.

8 PSALM 8:1-9 6 You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet:

9 PSALM 8:1-9 7 all the sheep and oxen, as well as the animals in the wild,

10 PSALM 8:1-9 8 the birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea that pass through the currents of the seas.

11 PSALM 8:1-9 9 Lord, our Lord, how magnificent is your name throughout the earth!

12 When was the last time you were truly amazed by something?

16 PSALM 8:1-9 1 Lord, our Lord, how magnificent is your name throughout the earth! You have covered the heavens with your majesty.

41 MATTHEW 21: and said to him, Do you hear what these children are saying? Jesus replied, Yes, have you never read: You have prepared praise from the mouths of infants and nursing babies?

42 God uses weakness to accomplish His powerful eternal purposes.

43 MATTHEW 21: Did John s baptism come from heaven, or was it of human origin? They discussed it among themselves, If we say, From heaven, he will say to us, Then why didn t you believe him?

44 MATTHEW 21: But if we say, Of human origin, we re afraid of the crowd, because everyone considers John to be a prophet.

45 1 CORINTHIANS 1: Brothers and sisters, consider your calling: Not many were wise from a human perspective, not many powerful, not many of noble birth.

46 1 CORINTHIANS 1: Instead, God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong.

47 1 CORINTHIANS 1: God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world what is viewed as nothing to bring to nothing what is viewed as something,

48 1 CORINTHIANS 1: so that no one may boast in his presence.

49 1 CORINTHIANS 1: It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption,

50 1 CORINTHIANS 1: in order that, as it is written: Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.

73 HEBREWS 2 For he has not subjected to angels the world to come that we are talking about. But someone somewhere has testified: What is man that you remember him, or the son of man that you care for him?

74 HEBREWS 2 You made him lower than the angels for a short time; you crowned him with glory and honor and subjected everything under his feet.

75 HEBREWS 2 For in subjecting everything to him, he left nothing that is not subject to him. As it is, we do not yet see everything subjected to him.

76 HEBREWS 2 But we do see Jesus made lower than the angels for a short time so that by God s grace he might taste death for everyone crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death.

78 REVELATION 3:21 21 To the one who conquers I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.

79 Is the desire to rule with Christ just a desire for the power hungry?

80 ROMANS 8: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.

81 ROMANS 8: For the creation eagerly waits with anticipation for God s sons to be revealed.

82 ROMANS 8: For the creation was subjected to futility not willingly, but because of him who subjected it in the hope

83 ROMANS 8: that the creation itself will also be set free from the bondage to decay into the glorious freedom of God s children.

84 ROMANS 8: For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together with labor pains until now.

85 ROMANS 8: Not only that, but we ourselves who have the Spirit as the first fruits we also groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.

86 ROMANS 8: Now in this hope we were saved, but hope that is seen is not hope, because who hopes for what he sees?

87 APPLICATION 1. Marvel at God s grace toward you.

88 APPLICATION 2. Rejoice in hope.

89 ROMANS 8: For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.
