5 01 Words of Purity (Twayyibah) ل ا ا ل ه ا لا الل ه محمد ر س و ل الله There is no god but Allah and Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the messenger of Allah 02 Words of testimony (Shahadah) اش هد ان لا ا ل ه ا لا الل ه وح ده لا شر ي ك له I testify that there is no god except Allah. He is one. He has no partner. و اش هد ان محم دا عب ده و رس و ل ه And I also testify that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is indeed his servant and Messenger. 6 03 Words of glorification (Tamjeed) س ب حان الل ه وال حم د ل ل ه و لا ا ل ه ا لا الل ه Purity belongs to Allah and praise be to Allah and there is none worthy of worship besides Allah و الل ه اك بر And Allah is the Greatest. و لا حو ل و لا قوة And there is no Power and Might ا ا ل عظ ب الل ه ال عل ي ال ي م But Allah, The Most High, The Greatest. He has no partner. ك له ال مل و له ال حم د To him belongs all dominion and to him belongs all praise. ر ي ح ي و ي م ي ت ب ي د ه ال خي He gives life and causes death. 11 77 I ask Allah for Taqwah و الل هم ا ت نف س ي تق تها وزك ها Oh Allah. Give my soul (Nafs) fear of disobeying you (Taqwah) and purify it You are the best purifier You are its Lord and Master ت خي ر م ن ان زك ها ان ت ول ي ها و م و لاها 78 I pray for my family and ask Allah (swt) to allow me to serve as the ruler of the Muslim Ummah ربنا هب لنا م ن از واج نا Our Lord! 16 About Tanzeel Tanzeel was established in 2007 by concerned parents in Tower Hamlets. We wanted an afterschool class specialising in delivering high quality Tajweed and Hifdh blended with Islamic studies. We wanted a syllabus that would address issues facing the younger generation living in the West while at the same time focusing in nurturing the Islamic characteristics and morals within our children. About this book This book is a summary of key beliefs and supplications selected with the aim to ingrain in the reader that Islam is a complete way of life and we have to remember Allah in every single action that we do. Islam is not a religion in the strict definition of the word unlike other secular religions like Judaism and Christianity. It governs all three relationship that is needed to live our lives from the cradle to the grave. It encompasses Akhlaq (morals), Ibadaat (our relationship with our creator), and muamalaat, relationship with our fellow human beings whether they are our parents, the local shop keeper, the enemy soldier or an oppressive government.
