More than 125 members attended this event. The program included tilawat by Br. Rizwan Tahir, poems by Brs. Pervaiz Khan and Abdul Hafeez Sahib (recited Aftab Bismil Sahib s poem) and Srs. Lubna and Atiya Malik. There were also presentations by Sr. Sana Din and Brs. Saleem Tahir, Mansoor Qureshi, Mujeeb Ijaz, and Nasir Malik. Later on snacks were served. We are grateful to Br. Usman Mangla for the A/V setup and Br. Zahid Munir and the Dhiafat Team for delicious snacks. Fajazahomullaho Ahsanal Jaza Local Ijtemas Held Local Ijtemas of Detroit Majlis Ansarullah, Majlis Khuddam ul Ahmadiyya, Majlis Atfaal ul Ahmadiyya and Lajna Imaillah were held at Spencer Park in Rochester Hills on May 15. Despite cold weather, a majority of members participated in educational and sports competitions. Delicious barbeque lunch was served by the dhiafat team. Alhamdolillah. Burhan Qaderi at Regional Jama at Tarbiyyat Program A Regional Jama at Tarbiyyat Program on Holy Qur an The Perfect Guidance for Success will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2005, in the Novi Civic Center. Please note that the Novi Road exit on I-96 is closed due to construction. Therefore, identify your alternate route and allow for the extra drive time. The program will start with lunch at 12:00 PM and end with snacks at 5:00 PM. Insha-Allah. Graduating Students All graduating students (and their parents) are requested to contact Secretary Ta lim, Br. Saleem Tahir, with their accomplishments, for inclusion in the Graduating Student Recognition and Celebration to be held on June 19. Jama at Election on June 19, 2005 Hadhoor aba has kindly established a new position of Secretary Ta limul Qur an & Waqfe Aarzi, both at the local and the national level. As such, we will hold an election for this position, on June 19, 2005, in the Novi Civic Center, after the Regional Tarbiyyat Program. Insha-Allah. All male members who are regularly paying their obligatory (laazmi) jama at chandahs (Wasiyyat/Aam and Jalsa Salana) are eligible and requested to participate in this election.

2 Page 2 Lazmi (Obligatory)Chanda Jalsa Salana Chandah Jalsa Salana is an obligatory (laazmi) jama at chandah. All earning members are reminded to regularly pay this chandah (in addition to their chandah wasiyyat or aam) at the prescribed rate of 1/120 of the net annual income to be paid over 12 months (July-June). Lazmi (Obligatory) Chandahs for Women All earning women are as obligated to regularly pay their Chandah Aam and Chandah Jalsa Salana as men. Sr. Najma Rohela has been requested to contact all earning women regarding this sacred obligation. Earning women should pay their obligatory (laazmi) chandahs directly to Brs. Naseem Ahmed or Usman Mangla. Jama at News and Announcements Inna lillahe wa inna elaihe raje'oon Baby Senyah Khan, the youngest daughter of Qaid MKA, Br. Naseem Khan passed away on May 10 after a short illness span. May Allah bless her soul and console the grieving family. Ameen. Sa`adat Hagora by at Arrehmat@aol.com. 7 th National Annual Tarbiyyat Class The 7 th National Annual Tarbiyyat (Train-the-Trainer) Class, for boys/men over 14, will be held in the Baitur Rahman Mosque, Silver Spring, MD, from July 9 th to July 23 rd. Insha-Allah. All Waqfeen-e-Nau (boys and girls) over 14 are required to attend this class. Please contact the Tarbiyyat Secretary, Br. Mansoor Qureshi, for registration and further details.jazakallah. Tabligh Please listen to Hadhoor s Friday sermon (06/04/04). The Monthly Interfaith Session/Da een Class will be held at Baitul Muzaffar on Saturday, 6/4/05, from 4 to 5 PM. Inshallah. This session will be conducted by members of MKA, Detroit. All members are requested to attend this activity. The topic of discussion this month will be the Death of Jesus Christ. Please refer to the online book, Beacon of Truth on If you would like to invite your Non- Ahmadi or Non-Muslim friends, please let the Tabligh Department know ahead of time. The guests will be provided with refreshments All members are encouraged to fill out Da ee Ilallah form. 3 Page 3 Lajna News and Announcements Our sincere condolences to Sr. Nazia and Br. Naseem Khan on the untimely demise of their baby daughter Senya Khan. Nasirat Ijtema Nasirat sports events were held on May 15 th at the Spencer Park in Rochester. Lajna auxiliary meeting was also held on May 15 th, with 34 Lajna and 12 Nasirat attending. The Lajna Ijtema Dear Ayesha, was held following the meeting. Lajna displayed great enthusiasm in the competitions, Mashallah. Congratulations to all participants and jazakallah to Khuddam/Ansar for preparing a delicious BBQ lunch. Tahrik e Jadid and Waqf e Jadid Please provide your pledges to Sr. Fouzia Bukhari as soon as possible. Don t forget to enroll your unborn children in the Daftar Punjam scheme. Upcoming Events: No Lajna meetings will be held in June due to building unavailability. Each halqa should arrange for at least two meetings in June. Nasirat Camp will be held on July 15 & 16 in Columbus, Ohio. Please notify your halqa nigran if you are planning to attend. Symposium Feedback (Symposium was held April 23, 2005) Spencer Park View of the Lake No Lajna Meetings in the Month of June. Each halqa should arrange for at least 2 monthly meetings Warmest thanks to you and to all members of Lajna who made yesterday's Interfaith Discussion possible! I learned of the Interfaith Discussion from the article in the Kalamazoo Gazette last Wednesday. The Interfaith Discussion was a profoundly moving experience, one I'll never forget. The speakers were all brilliant-and were very helpful in giving a greater understanding of Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity, Sikhism and especially, Islam. What moved me most profoundly, though, were the beautiful Lajna members who greeted me. Their warmth nourished my spirit. Please thank them for me, and please thank all those who made the lovely refreshments and who worked so hard to make yesterday possible. With deepest thanks, Pam Bump. 4 Page 4 Ansar News and Announcements Great Lakes Regional Ijtema 2005 The Great Lakes Regional Ijtema will be held on June 4 and 5 at Baitul Nasir near Columbus, Ohio. Insha- Allah. The participating ansar will leave from Sadr Sahib s residence in Novi at 8:30 am on Saturday, June 4. If you are planning to ride with the group, please let Br. Bashir Rohela know at the earliest. Please plan on arriving at Sadr Sahib s residence by 8:00 am. For further information, please contact Br. Naseem Khan or Br. Bashir Rohela. We are Brs. Mujeeb Ijaz and Usman Mangla have been regularly working for the renovation of Baitul Muzaffar. 2 Khuddam participated in the monthly soup kitchen on May people were served with 160 lbs of chicken. 5 and 2 Khuddam mowed the grass at the new mosque site on May 1 and 20, respectively. On May 25, khuddam distributed 16 lbs of canned food items to the needy. On May 20, Br. Ahmir Butt built a patio behind Baitul Muzaffar. May Allah bless all the volunteers abundantly. Ameen. We are behind in our chandah collection. If you haven t paid your dues, please send in your payment to Br. Usman Mangla ASAP. Through the efforts of the clothing drive, two packages (45 lbs and 43 lbs) were dispatched to Qadian. On May 27, MKA-Detroit donated approximately 50 clothes, 50 pairs of planning to be back by 3 pm on Sunday, June 5. Insha- Allah. Memorize three Ahadith this month and incorporate in your lifestyle. Khuddam News and Announcements Arrange for daily congregational prayers at home in a designated area. Recite the Holy Qur an on a daily basis in a loud voice so that children may listen. Arrange for daily dars at dinner time. Watch MTA programs and listen to Khutbaat-e- Juma.
