The Executive Committee of AIOS honours people who have contributed immensely in the field of ophthalmology. His vision to put Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya on the global map as eye care service provider truly makes him worthy of the award. Our congratulations to the entire family of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust. Sadguru Humanitarian Awards - Retina Update(9 th -11 th March, 2018) Continuing with the legacy, this time again, Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot Conducted Sadguru Conclave 2018 Retina update from March 9-11, The international Conference on Retina was attended by renowned faculty ncluding Dr. Giacomo A. Panozzo from Italy, Dr. Ramesh Shah from America & other Stalwarts across India for a two day Scientific feast.on the occasion of Golden Jubilee year of trust, Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya conferred Sadguru Humanitarian award and Sadguru medals to the legends who made a substantial contribution in the field of Ophthalmology. 2

3 An Awareness Programme on Hand Hygiene 5 th January 2018 An awareness programme was conducted at Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Sh ri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, on 5 th Jan The awareness programme was based on who, what, where, when, how & why of hand hygiene, which was attended by Students & Staff of Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya. Research Methodology & Statistics workshop 13 th 14 th January 2018 A Two day workshop on `Research Methodology & statistics was conducted at Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, SSSST, Chitrakoot on January 13 & 14, Dr.Prof Maninder Sethia spoke on Research Questions, Study Design, Sampling and Random Control Trials. Dr.Prof. Abadan Khan Amitava Spoke`Statistics and Dr. Prof. N Abidi on Ethics Vaidya Shri Rajesh Kotecha s visit 15 th January 2018 Vaidya Shri Rajesh Kotecha, Padma Shree, Honorable awardeesecretary,ministry of AYUSH, and his wife were welcomed by Dr. B.K. 4 Training Program for Paramedical Ophthalmic Assistants 15 th 19 th January 2018 A Refresher Training Program for Paramedical Ophthalmic Assistants was jointly organised by National Program for Control of Blindness, New Delhi along with Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust at Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot from 15th to 19th January, Dr. B.K. Sadguru city eye clinic inauguration at Katni 21 st January2018 Sadguru City Eye Clinic at Katni was inaugurated by Siya Vallabhdasji Vedanti Maharaj, Swami Ram krishnacharyaji, Mayor of Katni - Mr. Shashank Srivastava and Dr. B.K.Jain, Director & Trustee of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust on 21st January, Social worker Mr. Bhagwandas Maheshwari was felicitated by Dr.B.K.Jain. Bindki Vision Centre Upgraded -12 th February 2018 Corporation, Bindki and Sponsors. 5 Results of Sadguru School of Nursing and Paramedical Sciences 22 nd February 2018 Students of Sadguru School of Nursing & Paramedical Sciences achieved 100% results. Results of General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) 1st Year, 2nd Year and 3rd year were declared by Mahakaushal nurses registration council, Bhopal, Out of 160 students who appeared: 10 Students achieved distinction 125 Students placed in 1 st division. 25 Students placed in 2 nd division. Dr. Ahmed Mostafa Hassan Abdelrahaman s visit 24 th -25 th February 2018 Dr. Ahmed Mostafa Hassan Abdelrahaman, MD, Professor of Ophthalmology, Cairo University, Egypt, visited Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya (SNC), Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust (SSSST), Chitrakoot for a two day hospital based program from 24th to the 25th of February, He spoke on new technology in Glaucoma Surgery. Dr. B.K. Jain, Director & Trustee of SSSST felicitated Dr. Ahmed Mostafa Hassan Abdelrahaman. 5

6 Sadguru Conclave - Retina Update 9 th 10 th March, 2018 An international conference on Retina was organized at Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot from March 9-11, 2018.On March 10, 2018, eminent personalities like Dr. Giacomo Pannozzo from Italy, Dr. Amod Gupta, Ex-Director - Advanced Eye Centre from PGI, Chandigarh, Dr. Alok Sen, Medical Superintendent, Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya from Chitrakoot spoke on the various aspects of Retina.A cultural programme was also organized in the evening. Sadguru Alumni Meet - Retina Update 11 TH March, 2018 An international conference on Retina was organized at Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya (SNC), Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust (SSSST),Chitrakoot from March 9-11, A grand Alumni Meet was held where various members of the alumni shared their most cherished e xperiences and played interesting games. A fun ramp walk was carried out by the Doctors along with their spouses. In the evening, an exciting day & night Cricket Match was played between two teams of Doctors. 6

7 Laproscopic Tubectomy camp 17 th January 2018 Laproscopic Tubectomy Camp was organized on 17th January2018 at Jankikund Chikitsalaya, Chitrakoot. JKC has given incentive to motivators tomotivate the cases of Tubectomy & Vasectomy. 34 Patients were operated by Visiting Surgeon Dr.R.S. Tripathi, district hospital, Satna & Dr. Poonam Advani, CMO, JKC. Laproscopic Tubectomy camp 7 th February Laproscopic Tubectomy Camp was organised on 7 th February 2018 at JANKIKUND CHIKITSALAYA, Chitrakoot. 23 patients were operated by visiting Surgeon Dr. R. S. Tripathi, district hospital, SATNA & Dr. Poonam Advani, CMO, JKC. Neurology Camp Clinic 9 th February 2018 Neurology camp clinic was organized on 9th Feb 2018 at JANKIKUND CHIKITSALAYA, Chitrakoot. 28 patients were screened & treated as OPD Patients by Prof. V.N. MISHRA, Chief Neurologist, Institute of Medical Sciences (BHU), Varanasi. 7

8 Fistula Camp 16 TH - 17 TH February 2018 A two day Fistula Camp (Bhagander Camp) was organised from February 16 to 17, 2018 at Jankikund Chikitsalaya, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot. Around 26 patients were operated by Dr. Bharatdev Murari from Rajkot (Gujarat) World Tuberculosis Day 24 th March 2018 On World Tuberculosis Day (March 24, 2018) Jankikund Chikitsalaya raised public awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of tuberculosis (TB) and to step up efforts to end the global TB epidemic. The emergence of multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) poses a major health security threat and could risk gains made in the fight against TB. 8

9 Surya Namaskar 12 th January 2018 On the birth anniversary of Swami vivekanand, Surya namaskar was performed by the Students & staff members of Sadguru family at Sadguru Public School s playground, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot. Scout and Guide Training Camp -5 th February 2018 The fifth, 4 day Scout & Guide Training Camp was inaugurated at Sadguru Public School, Sadguru Shiksha Samiti, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot. Dr. Elesh Jain, Administrator at Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Mr. Bhadauria, Chief Municipal Officer of Chitrakoot, Principals & Students of Educational Institutes, together, graced the occasion by their delightful presence Prime Minister Narendra Modi s speech 16 TH February 2018 Prime Minister Narendra Modi s Speech about examination and examination fear was conducted by the order of HRD Ministry in Vidyadham Sabhagar.Students listened attentively to the prime minister s speech. 9

10 Results of Shri Ram Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya 16 th February 2018 On the occasion of Swarna Jayanti Varsha & 100th Tara Netra Daan Yagya, by the grace of Param Pujya Gurudev Shri Ranchhoddasji Maharaj, students of class 10 and 12 from Shri Ram Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya (Badi Gufa) Jankikund, Chitrakoot figured in the merit list of Maharshi Patanjali Sanskrit Sansthan Board exams. 8 students of class 10 and 2 students of class 12 secured their place in the merit list (top 10) of Maharashi Patanjali Sanskrit Sansthan Board exams. Essay competition organised by United Nations Organisation 11 th March 2018 An essay competition was organized by United Nations Organisation in which Master Adarsh Shukla of Class 11th of Vidyadham higher Secondary School, Chitrakoot secured first position in his zone & fifth position in India. District Magistrate, Chitrakoot and District Education officer congratulated & awarded Adarsh Shukla on his Superb achievement. 10

11 Republic Day Celebrations 26 th January 2018 The 69TH Republic day was celebrated at Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot with great enthusiasm. Dr. B.K.Jain, Director & Trustee of SSSST hoisted the flag and took the salutations during the march past that was carried out by the students of various educational institutes of the Trust. Women s Cricket Match 26 th January 2018 A friendly women s Cricket match was played between Paramedical Sciences and Vidyadham Higher Secondary School at Shri Ram Mahayagya Khel Parisar, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot on Republic Day. Vidyadham Higher Secondary School won the match. Sadguru Swarna Jayanti Volleyball Tournament -26 th -28 th January 2018 Sadguru Swarna Jayanti Inter - State Volleyball Tournament was organised by Sadguru Mitra Mandal, Jankikund, Chitrakoot at Shri Ram Mahayagya Khel Parisar, Sadguru Public School from January 26th to 28th, 2018, in which 18 teams from the states of U.P. and M.P. participated.dr.b.k.jain,director & Trustee of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust along with Smt. Usha Jain, Chairperson, Shiksha Samiti,Smt. Kokilaben kotak, Shri Ram kotak & members of kotak family gave away the Trophy. 11

12 Holi Milan Samaroh 1 st March 2018 Holi Milan Samaroh was celebrated with great joy at Shri Ram Mahayagya Khel Parisar, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust (SSSST), Chitrakoot on March 1, Dr. B.K.Jain Director & Trustee of SSSST, Smt. Usha Jain, Chairperson, Shiksha Samiti and Sadguru family members graced the occasion with their presence. Staff members and students presented melodious songs and mesmerizing dance performances during the celebration. International Women s Day 8 th March 2018 International women s day was celebrated by Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust,Chitrakoot.Smt.Usha Jain,Chairperson, Sadguru Shiksha Samiti was of the view that present day women are contributing in all the fields of development of Society. Gauseva Varshikotsav 20 th March 2018 Sadguru Gauseva Kendra celebrated its 16th Varshikotsav on March 20, President Gauseva Kendra Smt. Usha Jain welcomed all the supporters. Sadguru Ratna Pujya Sushri Ramaben Hariyani, Maluk Pithadishwar 1008 Pujya Shri Rajendra Dasji Maharaj along with Shri Uma Shankerji Vyas performed the Gau Pujan ceremony and explained the importance and significance of serving the cow. 12

Prakatya Divas of Jagatguru Ramanandacharyaji 11 th January 2018 Prakatya Divas of Param Pujya Jagatguru Ramanandacharyaji was celebrated with great enthusiasm and joy at Shri Raghuvir Mandir, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot. Dr. B.K. Jain, Director & Trustee of SSSST along with Smt. Usha B. Jain, Chairperson, Shiksha Samiti performed the puja and welcomed Shobha Yatra. 13

14 Basant Panchami and Hastam Pooja 22 nd -24 th January 2018 Basant Panchami was celebrated at Raghuvir Mandir, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot with great enthusiasm.a havan was performed from the period of Basant Panchami to Saptami at Hastam, district of Banda (U.P.), where Gurudev Param Pujya Shri Ranchhoddasji Maharaj meditated for 12 years. Dr.B.K.Jain, Director & Trustee of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot along with Smt.Usha Jain, Chairperson, Shiksha Samiti,Shri Harish Bhagdeo along with his wife & Sadguru family members graced the occasion by their presence. Mahashivratri Poojan- 13 th February 2018 Mahashivratri was celebrated at Shri Raghubir Mandir, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot with great devotion. A Rudrabhishek was performed by Shastris & Students of Shri Ram Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya in the evening which was attended by devotees and staff members of the Trust. 84 Kosiya Parikrama 17 th 27 th February 2018 A total of 84 Kosiya parikrama was performed by thousands of Sadhus and Saints of Chitrakoot on foot. Dr.B.K.Jain,Director & Trustee of SSSST and Smt.Usha Jain, Chairperson, Shiksha Samiti distributed blankets to the Sadhus and Saints who performed those 84 Kosiya parikrama. 14

15 Kalash Yatra 17 th March 2018 To inaugurate the Ram Katha by Shri Umashankerji Vyas, a majestic Shobha Kalash Yatra started from Prarthna Bhavan to Raghubir Mandir on March 17, All the members of Sadguru Family participated with great zeal and excitement.mrs. Miloni Miheer, mother of our Chairman Shri Vishad P. Mafatlal graced the occasion with her presence. Ram Katha recital - 18th march 2018 Ram Katha began on March 18, 2018 by Pujya Shri. Uma Shanker vyasji. He mesmerized the devotees through his tranquil and comforting voice. At the end of the session Dr. Alok Sen and Shri. Ram Narayan Tripathi shared their personal experiences deriving out of Ram Katha recital. 15

17 Day 8 - Ram Naumi celebration -25 TH March 2018 distribution to the Sadhu-Saints, poor and the needy. Ram Naumi was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm on March 25, Members of Sadguru family sang lots of bhajans together, recited Ramanayan Chaupais, played colors and performed garbha. The main event was food Upnayan Sanskar 28 th March 2018 Upnayan Sanskar of 150 students of Shri Ram Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya was performed followed by Yagna by Shri Umashankerji Vyas, Smt. Usha Jain and Dr. B. K. Jain. Punyatithi of Param Pujya Gurudev 29 th March 2018 Paduka Poojan of Gurudev Param Pujya Ranchhoddasji Maharaj was performed with great devotion at Raghubir Mandir by Dr. B. K. Jain, Director & Trustee, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, along with Smt. Usha Jain, Chairperson, Sadguru Shiksha Samiti and Dr. Elesh Jain, Administrator, Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya. The Poojan was followed by a Bhandara. 17

18 Inauguration of Premium OPD at SSNC Anandpur: 4 th January 2018 Extension to the existing facility at SadguruSankalp Netra Chikitsalaya, Anandpur in the form of Premium OPD wasinaugurated on 4th January 2018 by Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra, Director & Trustee SSSST and Smt Bharti Bahan Jobanputra in delightful presence of Su. Bharti Bahan Ahya, Shri Mahendra Bhai Dattani and other guru bhai-bahans and staff. The new addition will promote high quality clinical services and will provide an enhanced reception and waiting area. Closing Ceremony of Camp organized in Collaboration with Shri Sadguru Seva Setu Parivar Rajkot: 13th Jan 2018 Annual Eye Camp in collaboration with Shri Sadguru Seva Setu Parivar Rajkot organized from 27th November 2017 concluded on 13th January Director & Trustee SSSST, Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra felicitated Shri Mahendrabhai Dattani and all the members of Shri Sadguru Seva Setu Parivar Rajkot for their valuable contribution. Record 12,985 ophthalmic surgeries were performed during the camp. 18

19 101st Shri Tara Netradaan Yagya: 5th February 2018 The 101st Shri Tara Netradaan Yagya was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and joy at Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Anandpur on 5th February Symbolic Flag was hoisted after Guru-Pujan by Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra, Trustee SSSST in delightful presence of gurubhai- bahans and members from sadguru family. Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra honoured everybody present at the occasion by pinning special badges. The first eye camp at Anandpur under the banner Shri Tara Netradaan Yagya was organized in Inauguration of Modular Operation Theatres: 13th February 2018 Newly constructed Operation Theatre complex at Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya (SSNC), Anandpur was inaugurated by Mr. Vishad P. Mafatlal, Chairman SSSST on 13th February The theatres will be one of its kind in Madhya Pradesh and are equipped with state of the art equipments and facilities. Trustees of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust (SSSST) were present at the inaugural function along with Gurubhai-bahans and staff. Through these operation theatres high quality clinical services will be made available to the rural population. 19

20 National Youth Day Celebrated at Anandpur: 12th January 2018 The birthday of Swami Vivekanand which is observed as National Youth Day was celebrated at Shri Sadguru Sankalp Sanskrit Ved Vidya Peeth Anandpur on 12th January. Children from Sanskrit Pathshala performed Surya Namaskar and enchanted Vaidic Mantras on the occasion. Smt. Bhartibahan Jobanputra was present at the function along with the Acharyas. Republic Day Celebrations: 26 th January th Republic Day was celebrated by Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Anandpur. The tricolor flag was hoisted at Shri Sadguru Sankalp Higher Secondary School (Smt. Sushilaben Arvindbhai Mafatlal H.Sec. School) by Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra, Director and Trustee of SSSST in delightful presence of Smt Bhartibahan Jobanputra and Sadguru family. Various cultural events were organized wherein the school children participated and got praised by the audience for their performance. Swarn-Jayanti Shobha Yatra: 4th February 2018 Hanuman Mandir. A grand Shobha-Yatra on the occasion of Golden Jubilee Year of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust was organized on 4th February 2018 at Anandpur with great enthusiasm and devotion. Hundreds of devotees from all walks of life participated in the Shobha Yatra along with sadguru family. Preachings of Param Pujya Gurudev were displayed in the Yatra which passed through various parts of Anandpur and culminated at Shri Ramdas 20

21 Shri Ramkatha Kalash-Shobha Yatra: 4th February 2018 Shri Ramkatha Kalash- Shobha Yatra from Prarthna Bhawan to Shri Ramdas Hanuman Mandir was organized with great enthusiasm on 4th February 2018 at Anandpur. The Yatra was lead by Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra, Director & Trustee SSSST Anandpur and Smt. Bharti Bahan Jobanputra. Gurubhai-bahans and members from sadguru family participated in the yatra. Musical Ramayan Paath and Shri Shiv Puran Katha is conducted from 5th-13th February 2018 at Gurumani, Shri Ramdas Hanuman Mandir by Shri Harishbhai Shastri (Mumbai) and Shri Ishwarbhai Shastri (Gondal). Kavi Sammelan at Anandpur: 9th February 2018 Under the Golden Jubilee Celebrations, a mega Kavi Sammelan Shabd Mahotsav was organized at SSSST Anandpur on 9th February Shri Sandeep Shazar (Delhi); Su. Sonal Jain (Surat) and Dr. Swapnil Sagar Jain (Vidisha) recited extraordinary poetries before the audience. Trustees of SSSST Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra and Shri Goverdhan Upadhyay were present at the function. 21

22 Bhajan-Sandhya at Anandpur: 10 th February 2018 A Bhajan Sandhya was organized at SSNC, Auditorium on 10th February Smt Beenabahan Desai and Shri Hiteshbhai Shukla presented melodious Bhajans. Trustees of SSSST Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra and Shri Goverdhan Upadhyay enjoyed devotional music along with Gurubhai-bahans from across the country. The program was coordinated by Shri Parthbhai Sejpal. Felicitation of Gurubhai-bahans: 13 th February 2018 Various Gurubhai-bahans who supported the development activities of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust were felicitated by the Chairman, Shri Vishad P. Mafatlal on 13th February 2018 at Anandpur. Shri Goverdhan Upadhyay, who was nominated as a Trustee by Param Pujya Gurudev himself, was also felicitated on the occasion for completing 50 years with the trust by trustees Shri N.B. Lohani and Dr. B.K. Jain. A book on precepts of Param Pujya Gurudev titled Purposeful Life compiled by Shri N.B. Lohani, Trustee was also released at the function. Maha-Shivratri Celebrations at Anandpur: 13th February 2018 Maha-Shivratri was celebrated at the trust on 13th February Abhishek on theoccasion wasperformed at Gurumani, Shri Ramdas Hanuman Mandir by the Chairman, Shri Vishadbhai Mafatlal. Trustees of SSSST Shri Goverdhan Upadhyay; Dr. B.K. Jain; Shri Raghunath M.B. were present at the function along with Gurubhai-bahans and staff. 22

23 Ramkatha Yagya and Bhandara at Anandpur: 14 th February 2018 Ramayan Paath and Shivpuran Katha was conducted at Shri Ramdas Hanuman Mandir from 5th -13th February 2018 by Shri Harishbhai Shastri and Shri Ishwarbhai Shastri. On purn-ahuti, in delightful presence of Chairman Shri Vishadbhai Mafatlal, a BHANDARA was organized on 14th February 2018 wherein more than 5000 people took Prasada. Shri Hanuman Janmotsav Celebrations at Anandpur: 31 st March 2018 Shri Hanuman Janmotsav was celebrated on 31st March 2018 with great joy, reverence and worship at SSSST Anandpur. Special Aarti was performed at Shri Ramdas Hanuman Mandir at 5:00 AM in presence of Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra, Director and Trustee SSSST; Smt Bharti Bahan Jobanputra and members fromsadguru family. A Bhandara on the occasion was also organized at Shri Mahabali Maruti Nandan, Kaharpura which was attended by Trustees of SSSST Shri Goverdhan Upadhyay; Shri N.B. Lohani; and Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra. More than 5000 people took Prasada at the Bhandara. 23
